  1. Tidy side, nothing up front though. We would have a chance of keeping a clean sheet against them……
  2. Don’t miss Comoros v Gabon tonight. Will be the game of the tournament…..:
  3. Bobby Reid has had one good season in his whole career after we stood by him during a few poor ones and couldn’t wait to **** off when it went right for him. I believe he’s scored less goals since ******* off than he did in his only good season in professional football. What’s he really done since? I wouldn’t boo personally but why the **** Matt Withers is in tears about him I couldn’t tell you.
  4. I’m guessing the ten charities that signed up including Idris Elba’s charity must have some reason for doing so?
  5. Many footballers do put their hands in their pockets and donate significant sums of money and time to charity, as does Idris Elba tbf. What they don’t do is tell all and sundry because the same people rinsing them for “not” doing it despite not really knowing would call them “big time” if they shouted it from the rooftops. Plus, like it or not, it’s their money and their business.
  6. I want to see something in place that means if Managers and/or CEO’s change we have a plan for the next person to implement, what we have had in the last 20 years is an Owner who makes it up as he goes along or allows others to do so such as Swiss whose tenure here bordered on criminal. Whether we had a good season in 2017-18 is irrelevant to that aim.
  7. It is, when perspective isn’t a consideration. Anyway, no need to reply as I can’t be arsed to and won’t get into all that negative shit on a Sunday?
  8. Steve can’t afford to sack him, Steve can’t be arsed to sack him, Steve ain’t sacking him. That might disappoint you but you (and a few others) really need to accept that and deal with it.
  9. Not for me. I want to see something sustainable over the medium to long term and built on proper foundations for the very first time since Steve bought his club 20 odd years ago. If that means losing some more games so be it.
  10. That’s been our issue though. Too much contentment for 3 years at playing crap and winning…..then it caught up with us which was as sure to happen as night follows day. Our building has always been built on sand.
  11. We lost because in normal time COD misses a sitter for a player of his ability. The point is, like it or not, when you are building like we are getting the level of performance consistent and right comes first then you trust that results take care of themselves. Returning to the post Wolves LJ period of stealing points (getting battered and winning) is not along term sustainable solution which has literally been proven over the last 18 months.
  12. If that’s how black and white you see it I would suggest Man City is the team for you.
  13. Same league with the backing of tens of millions of parachute payments you total dick…whilst, because of the Fun Boy 3 (Swiss, Stevie and Junior), we don’t have a ******* pot to piss in. Are you deliberately thick or just genuinely stupid?
  14. Harsh but seemingly true…….we will still be annoyingly frustrating no doubt but you would have to be either stupid or not on here for some reason today (waiting for the Fulham winner no doubt) not to notice.
  15. Or perhaps they have some decent players and will inevitably have a spell in the game.
  16. And, even as a Bristol City fan, I would be exactly the same once I had got myself established and the next step was to progress my career. Play for a club for 15 years where the Owner is taking us nowhere for £10K per week or earn serious dosh that sets you up for life in the Premiership......now let me think.
  17. Each to their own tbf and there is no wrong answer. However one club in our city had seven former academy graduates starting last week. I would imagine for many parents that would have a bearing. Whether we have that conversion rate because we are unfriendly and intense who knows?!!
  18. Yeah, that's a joke and as I've said before meant that a fellow player (Delph) was also named and shamed on social media of the issue in question at the time.
  19. Sam Bell has got football intelligence that I would suggest Semenyo didn't have at the same age. Whether he can convert that into appearances and goals at Championship level remains to be seen. Bur certainly unfair to compare him to others in a negative way when the kid has barely played.
  20. I agree, we have a pretty mediocre/inexperienced squad but competition for places will squeeze the most out of it. Shoot me if I'm wrong but I can see Bentley coming back a lot closer to his form of last season when he gets his place back in due course.........and if he doesn't get it back then it's because O'Leary is doing the job required anyway.
  21. Up there with Peter ******* Sutcliffe tbh..................
  22. Very good. I'm sure you would have been the big hardcase and told her to **** off.................
  23. "It's all wrong.......we've even got inter club supporter marriages now...........where will it all end? There will be a civil war soon, mark my words, all started by Bristol City FC and it's "day tripper" fans. Personally, I refuse to even look at opposition fans let alone live with them"....... The laughable thing though is that there are way too many people who think you are only a proper fan if you display that famed "edginess" at a game. Otherwise, the same people who would get all offended, uppity, defensive and probably start crying if you called them a hooligan will call you a day tripper.
