  1. You might expect that given we played most of the second half with 10 men. If you can’t credit that performance then **** off and support Portishead Town or someone..,.
  2. This is what happens when the Owner allows a CEO the freedom of Ashton Gate to run riot on recruitment (******* shit recruitment at that). When you look at the mess we are in I think you have to give Pearson credit for trying to turn this round when he is fully aware we don’t have a proverbial pot to piss in. Plenty of Managers would have quietly cleared their office at midnight and been reported as missing by now. Yet nutters on here genuinely thought we only had to approach Chris Wilder or Eddie Howe and we would all be aboard HMS Piss the Championship…………..
  3. One of my pet hates when people say “everyone” yet are talking about a minority. The thought of sniffing powder off the shitter paper holder in Spoons doesn’t do it for me either…….
  4. I wonder if the fans who want us to change Manager every 6 months will give it a rest now? Pearson is here for the long haul and if you don’t like it don’t buy a ticket - that’s where we are. By the way, if you don’t like it ask yourself how many decent managers out there would touch us with a barge pole. Answer honestly………then the penny might drop.
  5. …….and my point is that whilst I cannot disagree that he is the worst appointment EVER made by the club the man who appointed him (and even worse defended him) cannot get off Scot free and nor can the manager who worked with him for so long.
  6. Perhaps when having a pop at others you might also explain how the whole of the current shit show can be caused by only one person. As big a ******* shithouse as Swiss is you have to acknowledge that the Owner asleep at the wheel and a manager loading a squad with mediocre clubs in the bag have also made a contribution however minor you see it. Wont say thanks in advance, no need for it.
  7. Oh sorry, I was referring to Swiss Toni, our previous CEO such name calling you will no doubt find grotesque or some similarly descriptive word……
  8. In your world ONLY Swiss seems to get any blame. I would suggest that you look at all management levels from Owner down to first team managers over the last 3-4 years to answer how we can end up in such a position. As others have said had Covid not happened this would have all caught up with us anyway……..and for what? A club treading water at Championship level that since the Wolves defeat a few years back has barely strung a few decent performances together. Barely anyone who goes to Ashton Gate these days does so with any expectation of watching a decent game and this has been the case for years. How the Owner and First Team managers over this period cannot bear any responsibility for that is beyond me tbh.
  9. Yeah, you are definitely misguided to think only one person and one person only contributed to the current shit show, as misguided as you can get.
  10. Not far wiser but far less naive.
  11. To think we wouldn’t have ended up in the same position we are now had we kept LJ would be completely and utterly mental. How can you write such trash on a thread discussing a £38m operating loss???
  12. Wonder if he took any of his "artwork" with him?
  13. The man has ruined this football club to the extent it will literally take years to rectify the mess we are in and only one person didn't see it.................the most important person who has "made a few mistakes here and there" but don't you dare point them out..
  14. Didn't realise you needed a billionaire benefactor to achieve 17th-20th place in the Championship. Presumably clubs like Brentford, Brighton, Cardiff, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Blackpool, Swansea and Burnley all have Trillionaire owners hence their appearance in the Premier League? I would suggest that without Steve Lansdown we would be nearer Rotherham than the Gas......a lot nearer and lets be fair, as it stands now, we aren't exactly miles ahead of Rotherham on the pitch. Nobody suggests that Steve's heart isn't in the right place or that it isn't very generous of him to put the money up front but supporters have every right to critically analyse the decision making of a man who is prepared to say it's HIS money, HIS club.
  15. The Everton player who hasn't kicked a ball for them since and because of everyone busting a gut not to name him meant that Fabian Delph had a lot of flak aimed his way for no reason whatsoever other than being the same age........................the player who has been confirmed as the player arrested in his own country.
  16. Kalas was abysmal on two of the three goals yesterday, absolute pony and has been for weeks. He’s the new Teflon…….
  17. All comes down to the same thing. Swiss and the Owner have completely messed up the playing side of the club between them. If it’s blame people want then no need to look anywhere else.
  18. If Joe WIlliams gets fit (this will start a few off) we will be fine. I think we need to bring a couple in for sure.
  19. Almost 9pm, time to go and have a few lines in the Spoons shitter.........
  20. Whether you rate him or not we have seen a significant increase in the team's goal threat since he has come back from injury. If we had a younger, more mobile version of Chris Martin alongside him that would increase our threat even more significantly.
  21. Today was poor defending on the day compounded in my opinion by going gung ho in the wing back areas with two 18 year old kids. Whereas against derby we defended the game very comfortably. Attacking wise we are improving and should have scored four or five today. I'm not seeing particular patterns, I am seeing inexperienced players (could be age or the level we play at) playing well one week, not so well the next. The higher levels you play the more mistakes get punished - see Leeds tonight, it was brutal what Arsenal did to them.
  22. Agreed, it's a hard slog at the moment, that can't be denied whether you are Lansdown/Pearson in, out or shake it all about but there is literally nothing we can do to change it.
  23. To be fair, most pro's I've spoken to in the past are the first to tell you they've had a shocking game. I was speaking to a very well respected City player a few years back who told me how much he loved Shaun Taylor because "I couldn't ******* head a ball for toffee and he used to head everything for me".
