  1. The second goal started with Martin on his heels. He’s been shite today.
  2. It’s going to be a tough season to the end but playing two 18 year olds at wing back today was mental. As for the idiots throwing bottles publish the CCTV and give them 5 year bans.
  3. I will be going today and expecting it to be the last game anyone will be attending before February/March time. I will be surprised if there is football on Boxing Day tbh.
  4. Nigel inherited a pile of steaming turd to be honest.
  5. Sunderland seem to be starting one of LJ’s good streaks too……Swiss really needs Ipswich to grind out a result on Saturday otherwise the doubts will get louder. Shame.
  6. Wonder if Swiss will goose step over to the Ipswich fans making the 640 mile round trip and offer an apology?
  7. Think it’s fair to say that Holt and Butcher are not impressed with Swiss’s boys.
  8. Needs a vigorous recruitment drive to sort that lot out.
  9. That will no doubt be a factor although these footballers do have less fit families but regardless I would still have expected Chairman and CEO’s at some clubs to say sod the medics you are getting jabbed.
  10. Yes, I do understand that as I’ve already said. If vaccination stopped it dead there would be far fewer cases than there are. I was coming from the angle of do some of these medics know something we don’t and are happy enough for players not to be vaccinated? You would have thought that clubs protecting expensive assets would make sure they are vaccinated regardless.
  11. Not my definition, however laughable you find it. We should have a Number 2 keeper that presents GENUINE AND TOUGH competition for our Number 1 and not just be there should our "100% guaranteed starter regardless of form get a knock". As I see it we don't have that in any way, shape or form because if we did I am sure Bentley would have been rested weeks ago.
  12. Yep, we are paying big time for the previous recruitment strategy. Some people just won't see it. and we'll continue to see "Nige and Curtis Out" threads EVERY time we lose a game.
  13. Can't agree with you at all on the Goalkeepers. Two of the three will never ever be given a league start for any other reason than Bentley being injured. That's not covering a position in my book.
  14. The problem is that if buying clubs offer the likes of Wells and Palmer say £12K per week we will be expected by the players themselves to pay the shortfall for the remainder of their contract with us before they will agree to a move otherwise they may as well sit on their arses here and shop around in the summer. So you aren't freeing up a fortune in reality because NOT ONE SINGLE CLUB will be mental enough to match the wages that Swiss and Steve signed off on players who just aren't doing it for us...............or anything like it in the current financial climate that exists in football.
  15. Correct, not outrageous but definitely more than many will be PREPARED to pay. I would expect a very mediocre crowd for this game. The uncomfortable truth is, regardless of the announced attendance, we've barely been getting 14K ACTUALLY TURNING UP for league games as it is, probably significantly less than that a couple of times. However, typical of our club, they will bury their heads in the sand until season ticket sales completely bomb at some point and then we will all be lectured by a certain individual about whether we are interested or not and if we aren't why should he be.................
  16. No, some of them aren't and so I would have expected a lot more to have been vaccinated and particularly for clubs to make sure they are vaccinated if they are a bit thick. These are valuable assets after all. So the question is why?
  17. Yeah, I get that but my understanding is that the percentage of unvaccinated footballers is very much higher than the general population. But yeah, using your own example you have to ask WHY?
  18. Well it wouldn't be a simple answer if he was a lone wolf but I get the distinct impression he isn't and there are far too many footballers playing the game who would only refuse to take a vaccine if they were advised not to. I've had all my jabs and I'm not into conspiracy theories but it does make you wonder why many footballers are effectively being "allowed" to catch the virus.
  19. At the end of the day the crowd itself will say everything about what people think of the prices. Like I said above I personally feel this was a chance for the club to thank supporters who, given the football on offer this season and a number of seasons now, have been very understanding and certainly far more positive than I expected on the whole. To be fair to Nige he is very aware of that too. I think most people will just look at £23-£25 and say "**** you", right, wrong or indifferent.
  20. One question I would ask is why are so many footballers apparently unvaccinated and catching Covid? This is a profession where pretty much everything is done for them just short of someone knelt down in the shitter wiping their arse behind them. Are some of these players being given medical advice, given their fitness levels, to take a hit on Covid rather than a vaccine? Gotta make you wonder.
  21. Fair enough. To make it simple for everyone Bentley should not be Captain of our side end of story, it's either affecting his game or if not then his "unaffected" performances have simply not been good enough to merit being given the armband, nowhere near it. Btw I can't see us winning four games in a row anytime soon let alone a World Cup, three in a row will be a stretch tbh.
  22. Can't argue with the first sentence. Goalkeeper should never be Captain of any side, end of story. You have more than enough vocalising to do in 90 minutes as a Keeper without worrying about captaining the side. How good is O'Leary? Difficult to tell because he doesn't seem to have the trust of anyone.
