  1. The inclusion of both Benarous and Scott today tells me that NP and CF have had a guts full of a few “”senior” players.
  2. The midfield had to play deeper because the ball kept coming back at us. First half Williams and Bakinson were taking the ball off the centre halves and started us playing. Second half the three at the back were shitting themselves once Blackburn had that five minute spell at the start of the half and along with our keeper who again a looked low on confidence just kept launching the bloody ball.
  3. Presumably Nige also told the back three to panic for the next half hour at half time too? We couldn’t play the way we did first half because our back three wouldn’t pass the sodding ball which then means Williams and Bakinson couldn’t get in the positions to start us going forward like the first half.
  4. They reacted and we lost composure at the back. Those two things changed the game. Williams nor Bakinson could show for the ball like they did first 45 because it kept being smashed over their heads.
  5. I’d love to know what football pitch you ever set foot on seeing as you are quite happy to call people cowards. Are you Roy Keane or something?
  6. Credit where it’s due O’Dowda had his best game for quite a while. My issue is with 7 assists in 140 odd appearances do we have to wait another 20 matches for some end product? Hopefully this will give him some confidence to kick on and not be another false dawn.
  7. Keep him on free kicks and corners!!
  8. It needed a bit more composure at the back and we would have seen the game out imo.
  9. Agreed, I should have said more and more desperate until Kalas gave them the goal.
  10. They had to sit deeper as the back three kept crashing it downfield to Blackburn players and it kept coming back.
  11. Kalas lost his head, literally, and it cost us but our defending was getting more desperate as the game wore on.
  12. It wasn’t a deliberate ploy to sit back. Vyner, Kalas and Baker panicked for 45 minutes and ****** the whole game up for us. They ruined a midfield that was functioning first half by banging the ball straight back to Blackburn time and again.
  13. Massive difference to us. The middle of the park was decent today. Back three cost us second half and we need more up the top end.
  14. Williams stays fit = we stay up.
  15. Back three cost us that game tbh. Panic defending set in from minute 46. They set the tone by literally clearing the ball anywhere and it just kept coming back. All the composure shown in the first half went missing. As for the keeper, try coming off your line now and again and perhaps catching the odd cross.
  16. He has, just didn’t see the point of the post I was replying to. Negativity for negativity’s sake. Rooney did have a poor tournament record though.
  17. Except Kane has scored against decent sides for England.
  18. And how much did we spend on wages and agent's fees? The accounts tell you what was being spent in comparison to what was being recouped. £5m centre forwards don't play for **** all as far as I am aware and their Agent's don't work for **** all on the transfer either and whilst we are at it neither do the solicitor's doing the legal stuff on these transfers. Even £1m "punts" at Championship level are spunking more than enough up the wall on wages, agents fees and the like - which means it's not really a £1m punt in any event. You can look at this in plenty of ways to suit an agenda.

I understand where people are coming from but to me that's all fancy stuff in terms of how the message is conveyed and it doesn't really matter right now because what does really, really matter is happens next at the training ground and on the pitch. We have a Manager who is out of action for the foreseeable and if he is to have a future here needs to be given the correct amount of time to improve his health. This leaves an Assistant Manager running the show plus Alex Ball. That is our First team Staff on the management and coaching side and it's a first team that needs a hell of a lot of coaching right now together with a lot of one to one conversations between staff and players to re-focus minds, Saturday made that plainly obvious. We can't be giving the gutless tossers we have playing for us days off because we have hit a bit of a tricky situation. The ones left in Bristol need to be in working......and working bloody hard. We are in a bit of a pickle now and this is the first test that Richard Gould has had to deal with........and it's about as hard a first test as you could ask for in truth. We need to see a plan delivered quickly and clearly implemented over the next 6 weeks and that means reinforcements on the coaching side of things. If we do things the usual Steve Lansdown trademark way of pretty much **** all for 6-8 weeks and then act out of desperation when it's far too late we will end up sleepwalking our way out of this league with barely a whimper.

He can't continue on his own, that would be sheer lunacy........not to mention very unfair on Curtis Fleming.

It's not insurmountable....................until you realise this is Bristol City ownership and boardroom management we are talking about.

That's the key for me. Pearson's situation will take as long as it needs to take but we can't completely throw the towel in. Someone in a leadership position at the club needs to show a bit of leadership. If it's Curtis Fleming, fine, if it's Colin on a three month contract then so be it BUT something needs to be thought out.
