Have to agree on that although I think it's more a case of people almost "wanting" a certain scenario to be true which has caused 20 pages of complete and utter shite.

Some people who want a change of Manager are going to be so deflated.......it will be a bog standard update.

Sometimes the information is just plain bollocks and was never true in the first place............

I think you'll find it was people wanting things to be true, getting all excited and jizzing in their pants that caused all this mess.........
  6. Massengo gets sod all from me because his lack of concentration in injury time lost us the game. Same with Bentley and Kalas on the second goal. Players doing alright for 94 minutes out of 96 doesn't cut it at that level on those wages. If I get 98% of my work right and the other 2% costs my Client big time firstly I could be looking at a PI Insurance Claim made against me and secondly I don't get the repeat business not to mention the reputational damage. No ******* about in my industry. These boys get chance after chance after chance to make mistakes, the same mistakes too.
  7. The worst bit is that clubs are now being completely open about it and aren't even hiding it. Stoke, Millwall, Birmingham and Coventry have all made comments about our lack of balls and fragile confidence. Every single team in that league will know what they have to try and do against us - we have no alternative way of playing to counter it either.
  8. It sounds like a good argument until you look at our players - generally speaking most of them are shit. Under pressure at Championship level their first touch is shite meaning their second touch normally ends up being a tackle, they cant pass, they cant shoot, they have no bollocks, they don't concentrate for 90 minutes etc. etc. They are a very bang average group of LEAGUE 1 standard players bar three of four that are being rapidly exposed at Championship level. I guarantee you 100% now that if the players don't change they will get to exactly where they are now with the next manager. Guaranteed.
  9. Still advocating how other people should spend their money on your behalf then....................... You can't educate pork.
  10. NP needs to get better first, let's get priorities straight. Fleming did come out and say exactly as it was last night yet it seemed to really upset many poor souls who hate to see the players being asked to take responsibility. Nah, a Division 7 Suburban League standard header from an international player on twenty odd large a week followed by Division 8 goalkeeping clearly has to be a coaching or lack of motivation issue rather than a player issue doesn't it? Well it does if you don't have the first clue about how football is played. Poor Tamas, I feel so gutted for him that he can't execute a free header properly and people are looking at him for an explanation. And David, fancy having to take questions on why a pea roller went past you. Han Noah, how dare people even contemplate why you couldn't be arsed to track a runner in the 91st minute, despicable behaviour. How inconvenient that must be for the poor young men to have know nothing supporters asking questions like that having given up their entire Saturday to be there.
  11. This is sleepy Bristol where we listen to what we are told and do what we are told. "Shut the **** up and pay your season ticket money"..........
  12. I think it would take around FIFTEEN before the penny dropped.......
  13. It's not about being sensitive over those things in themselves it's about seeing the gradual changes that are being made over time and instead of just ignoring it thinking "what comes next?". Simple things many supporters do not notice is that if English Rugby ignore our fixtures and decree that Bristol are at home the same weekend as us then one team (usually Bristol) plays Friday and the other Sunday. Stadium rules do not allow Friday and Saturday consecutive day fixtures. The rules are that Bristol get first choice on the fixtures not us - English Premier Rugby rules. Sunday fixtures are a complete pain in the arse for many supporters and so there you have a direct example of rugby affecting football. Hasn't happened this season so far, granted but has happened before. Our only home Sunday fixture at the moment is Millwall which is simply because the Police wouldn't police the game on New Years Day.
  14. By the way I 1000% do have an agenda, you are right about that, an agenda which simply wants to go down to Ashton Gate on a Saturday and actually ENJOY watching the football on offer at least SOME OF THE TIME. I have little interest in the business side of the game, it's FOOTBALL that made me support the club in the first place and all I am really interested in. I can promise you that if the next 18 months of football is the same quality as the last three years I certainly won't be laying out my season ticket money out of blind loyalty for the club. Feel free to disagree but it's my money, my choice at the end of the day. I owe Mr Lansdown nothing........and I'm speaking as someone who completely understands the scale of job and the issues with players that Nige and Curtis have on their plates.
  15. Nothing to do with Rugby pictures. Twitter account - Ashton Gate Stadium home of Bristol Bears and Bristol City. The club who have been here 8 years are now the first name on the website. We are also SECOND PRIORITY on fixtures, that is fact not my thoughts passed off to suit my agenda. Go and have a read of English Premiership Rugby stadium requirements. The longer this Bristol Sport thing has gone on the less I am liking it to be perfectly honest - there is little benefit to us in terms of funds and we are seeing that right now - both Bristol RFC and ourselves pay rent to Steve Lansdown's holding company and I see little in the way of additional funds that can be reinvested into football in line with the rules of FFP.
  16. You like spending other people's money don't you?
  17. You could tell by the shocked look on his face that he has never encountered this before in his career. This is the first time he has ever had to call a "collective" rather than the odd individual, which can sometimes happen for various reasons, out for lack of desire and I genuinely think he couldn't get his head round it. And you have hundreds of player apologists on here saying that the poor little petals picking up their £20K per week and who can't even execute a free header from a corner properly need to be given a Churchillian speech pre-game or alternatively the latest psychological motivation lecture on powerpoint in order to be motivated? It is now officially acceptable for players at Bristol City FC to totally lack enthusiasm, self-motivation, focus and concentration - yes, we totally accept your mental weakness and if Curtis cannot sort that out in an hour or so pre-game that's on him.........that is right isn't it?
  18. You could try and sell a BCFC only who would have no ownership of Ashton Gate - and have ZERO bidders - or you would have to offer up AG as well and that's where Steve gets a large chunk of his investment back in one hit. I'm not sure the Rugby Club would be overly happy about that either because such a sale might contravene English Premier League Rugby rules which basically say that Bristol, tenants for 8 years, have priority on fixtures over Bristol City (in effect) in a stadium that has been hosting football for 120 years, and also if some Arab businessman with no interest in rugby whatsoever came in they could be in an awkward position of being told to do one and I don't see Lansdown allowing that as, lets be honest about this, the successful Premiership rugby club IS his legacy to Bristol, not the football club which is too expensive to achieve success with given his lack of football knowledge and therefore a drain on his pocket. We are second class citizens in what was always our own stadium but is no more. That's what "Bristol Sport" has achieved. Give it another five years and half the ground should have navy blue seats - you wait and see.
  19. I'd make the bastards train on The Netham............that's about the level of game management they displayed yesterday so let them ******* have it.
  20. Agreed. You get the impression that the football side of the operation is wholly dependent upon the Owners latest "whim".
  21. No evidence Mr Barrister. We'll have to wait and see. However that one point doesn't detract from my overriding point that watching football at AG right now is as boring an experience as it gets and has been for a number of seasons now. Do I need to put that assertion past the Crown Prosecution Service because if you do I'll just link the last 60 odd games played at the stadium for you to enjoy?
  22. I have had a season ticket since I stopped playing football around 15-16 years ago but my patience and loyalty are being severely tested now. If my elderly uncle who comes to the Gate for the social more than anything wants to carry on then so will I. If he knocks it on the head I will be seriously thinking about groundhopping from next season. The football is so bad that I just won't miss it. Like others I just stayed in my seat when we equalised last week because I was so bloody disappointed in the 40 minutes that preceeded it - I had no enthusiasm whatsoever and that can't be right. I don't blame Nigel Pearson for that because I know what a shambles he has inherited and also this has been going on for years. Grateful to our Owner for the current state of affairs - **** that.
  23. Wow. Perhaps it is the recruitment from the pair of them and the financial management from Swiss Tony and condoned by the Owner, who couldn't wait to proclaim that the fans were ignorant, that has led to this mess? Actually, there's no perhaps about it. Apologies for stating the completely obvious.
  24. Yeah, you would expect pro's to be properly motivated by that.......rather than needing an old bloke on the touchline with a tracksuit on having to shout things at them.
  25. Forgive my lack of enthusiasm but a rugby club that has been at the Gate 7-8 years and is now apparently getting a stand named after one of it's players in a stadium that has been a football ground for 120 years. I don't begrudge the rugby boys any success whatsoever and I'm glad that you do find something to get enthused about at the Gate because if you were relying on the football...................but everything happening with them sort of proves my point about the ownership of the football side of things that people are telling me I should be grateful about.
