We won't be replacing Steve any time soon unless he decides to jack it all in (so no point flogging that horse to death) AND, whilst we are on that subject, Steve himself has given Nigel a three year job to get the club out of the mess it is in and will not be replacing him any time soon either............I've said it before and I'll say it again anyone who thinks Steve is going to pay-up Managers out of his own pocket every six months is living in Cloud Cuckoo Land.

Of course but you still have to watch the game and say what you see. If your world means win = brilliant performance and lose = shit performance regardless of what actually happened on the pitch then it's a strange way of looking at things imo. We created plenty of chances, that is a fact and you'll have to trust me on that as you have stated you didn't go today.

You can coach until you are blue in the face but the truth is no amount of coaching can prevent a player doing what you ask him to do properly one week and not the next. In the case of Atkinson he did well against Derby and was shocking today. How is that down to coaching? He proved against Derby that he can put the coaching into practice but also proved today that he can't do it every week whilst he is coming to terms with the higher standard. What cannot be coached is the split second concentration levels needed to play elite level football. You either have it or you have to learn it through the odd mistake or you don't have it and end up in the National League. Look at the Leeds kid at right back tonight who would no doubt have been coached to death since he was 8 and has recently been coached by that "mug" Bielsa who presumably doesn't know jack shit either, literally lost concentration for a split second and bang, 1-0 down two seconds later.

100% on the owner in my book. He gave his mate Swiss free rein to build his empire here then defended the bloke from fan criticism. Nailed your colours to the mast there Stevie Boy. That makes the owner 100% responsible for the utter mess we are in.

Yet there are fans who think the likes of Atkinson and Tanner will come in and be Van Dyke/Cafu within weeks of being here. The truth is there are too many fans who don’t have the bollocks to deal with the frustrations that occur when a manager has to build a team from a very low base. What sort of fool do you have to be to think the Owner will change manager every half season and pay for it out of his own pocket? I go to matches and know what I’m watching and what squad we are working with. I assume you were there today given all the stuff you are coming out with. Did we or did we not create enough chances to win the game today?

It’s slow progress but our attacking play is definitely improving. Anyone who thought it would be anything other than slow progress this season with the squad we have is a nutter.

I’ll start, since Semenyo has come back from injury we are a goal threat. We created enough to win that game today. We are also seeing more of the ball. Defensively we were poor and I think Nige went hung ho with the wing backs. He needs to find a way to tighten up defensively and create the same chances. Stick the best player at the club in midfield today and we win that game.

Agreed, two kids at wing back and guess where Huddersfield destroyed us………..

The second goal started with Martin on his heels. He’s been shite today.

It’s going to be a tough season to the end but playing two 18 year olds at wing back today was mental. As for the idiots throwing bottles publish the CCTV and give them 5 year bans.

I will be going today and expecting it to be the last game anyone will be attending before February/March time. I will be surprised if there is football on Boxing Day tbh.

Sunderland seem to be starting one of LJ’s good streaks too……Swiss really needs Ipswich to grind out a result on Saturday otherwise the doubts will get louder. Shame.
