  1. Are Bristol Rugby who are now playing when we should have been playing, are they now deemed disrespectful? What a joke
  2. I guess the question then in why do the police forces in other areas think it’s ok for other clubs but A&S don’t for us? Do we have a completely unique set of circumstances which are non comparable or are A&S overzealous?
  3. If everything in the UK shuts down this weekend as a mark of respect then fair enough, but why does football need to stop for a weekend but The Mall stays open, or the cinema stays open, or the pubs stay open etc etc it makes no sense whatsoever.
  4. Is it advice I.e. the club could ignore it if they wanted, or do the police have the right to tell the club where they can put away fans and there is nothing we can do about it?
  5. Especially as we don’t give the away team the whole front of the stand anyway, even if they could sell it out, meaning always a few thousand seats empty. Better to give the away team just under the left half, one block is blocked off for segregation, then the other half for home fans. You could always shift the segregation block along (either way) depending on expected demand or if FA cup where you need to give more away seats.
  6. At times like these it’s worth remembering the difference between 1 million and 1 billion. A good example is using time: 1 million seconds = 12 days 1 billion seconds = 31 years SL is still a billionaire and has ‘years’ of £££ left (not that he can spend it with us on players due to FFP!). Not wanting to get too political but when you realise the COVID track and trace system (including app and testing etc) cost £37billion over just 2 years, it does make you think where all that £££ went (as a comparison the new Elizabeth line took 23 years to build and still cost £12billion LESS than the track and trace at £25billion!).
  7. I must admit I didn’t recognise him, only that he had an Irish accent, I then searched out which of their players was Irish, then saw the pic, same guy, easy
  8. Saw this thread on Gas Chat re: Trevor Clarke. I’ve been waiting for a thread before posting here, but TC and another Rovers player were hanging out at my gym a couple of weeks back, I was sat next to them, and could hear them discussing how TC could force a move out of the club. Not sure what’s gone on there, but nice to hear there is trouble t’mill!
  9. I think the improvements in sports science you could see a lot more players playing until their late 30’s if they stay serious injury free, you need to adapt your game potentially but possible if you have the desire to keep going
  10. Yeh no worries, thanks for the reply, seems a strange change in legislation really but there you go!
  11. I was rewatching the highlights of yesterdays great win and noticed both teams were wearing white shorts, and Blackburn also had 1 white sleeve. For a colour blind sufferer it was making it more difficult to pick out the teams. With the shorts I’m surprised we didn’t change to the black ones if the alternative shirts are not sufficient. Who cares we won, but surprised they were allowed?
  12. Watch us wreck the mic Watch us wreck the mic Watch us wreck the mic…..Sykes Lets get ready to rumble etc etc etc
  13. We have character, commitment and confidence which has been severely lacking in the last few years, great to see!
  14. That’s the best thing to happen at Rovers since the championship ready sprinklers were installed! Fair play
  15. I’ll always take a draw away and that’s defo the case today! 2-2 I reckon! COYR
  16. Sounds great to me a few months in Greece with a huge club!
  17. That’s all fair enough, but I think the problem is the distance he is trying to pass the ball between defenders, and his ability to pull off those passes. The 3rd Blackpool goal wasn’t a result of Naismith playing from the back and getting caught in possession, it was a complete hospital pass in injury time from Naismith and could easily have been avoided with a pass to Bentley. The pass last night from which they nearly scored was a crazy pass across half the width of the pitch, asking to be intercepted, and not in Naismiths locker to pull off. As someone else has said, I think he thinks he’s better than he is at passing and he thinks he can execute raking passes across the pitch at will. Passing the ball that distance between the back 2 shouldn’t happen IMO, There is a difference between playing out from the back and getting tackled, to giving the ball away when passing to a team mate. The latter is the problem he needs to address.
  18. Nige came in and had 2 jobs to sort on the playing side: Scoring: He took over a team which couldn’t score, he changed that last season and we started to create chances, which this season we are converting. Defending - However, the increased scoring chances left us weak in defence, along with the personnel to defend well. This season he has recruited well and we are now getting clean sheets and looking more solid. Nige has slowly but surely turned the ship around, and if we can keep everyone tomorrow then playoffs have to be a possibility.
  19. Adults who collect stickers are behaving like “a person who commits a crime involving sex, especially sex with a child”* Bit harsh! *Cambridge dictionary definition
