  1. This is awkward…https://www.otib.co.uk/index.php?/topic/218004-we-need-to-talk-about-kal/
  2. I get the Risk and Reward comment, but for the first goal it had nothing to do with Naismith trying to get a move going by being adventurous, he tried to control a ball he was never going to control instead of clearing it, that’s an error. The second goal could fall into the risk and reward bracket, but from previous matches there have been, for me, basic errors that were nothing to do with attacking, and all to do with basic defending. I really hope he sorts it out obviously
  3. You can’t drop Conway he’s scoring for fun, can you drop Wells when he’s such a good foil for Conway? Who would be a manager!
  4. I’ve bought some T Shirts from this site, really really top quality, thought you might like this one; https://thenorthcurve.com/products/lazio-classic-retro-football-t-shirt-football-top
  5. If they cancelled all activities, shut the pool and restaurant, and just left people in lodges then I think everyone would say fair enough, but if you’ve travelled far to get there, what exactly can you do! Shocking!
  6. I thought the football decision was bad, Center Parcs are losing for 24 hours on the Monday of the funeral, so those in a Friday to Friday break are getting kicked out at 10am Monday and have been told to find alternative accommodation for 1 night! I would refuse to leave personally
  7. You think you’re right, I think I’m right, let’s leave it at that
  8. I was referring to other comments in this thread when I said there were no issues with acoustics the night of the Man Utd game
  9. 100% my point, if acoustics are bad then it wouldn’t matter how many people were in the ground, who the opposition was, whether it was on Sky etc etc etc you can’t pick or choose when the acoustics are bad. The truth is, since the ground has been renovated we’ve not had much to cheer, that’s changing now and I bet with bigger crowds, better football, more to play for, the atmosphere will be great
  10. It’s not an exception, the acoustics are the acoustics, if people sing then the atmosphere is great, as it was that night, if people don’t sing then it’s not. As others have said, people moaned about the Atyeo acoustics when it was first built, now it’s revered as some sort of acoustic masterpiece!
  11. I’m not sure I buy this acoustics reason for poor atmosphere. At the Man Utd game the atmosphere was electric because the whole stadium was singing and the Atyeo was packed.
  12. Last year we were near St Ives when the G7 thing was on and they had police from all over the country staying in make shift camps to help out, so can defo see resources being utilised. FYI we also saw the 48 bus from Downend there, apparently they had a shortage of buses to bus the police around so even got them in from other places!
  13. The joke about the red button I took as more of a joke about OTIB and posts on match day threads, the Queen was just sub context
  14. Apologies if already posted but although a great gesture by Man City, as discussed earlier in this thread, there is a bigger impact of the cancellations at a time when most people can I’ll afford the impact and clubs shouldn’t have to cough up on behalf of a decision by the EFL which didn’t have to happen. The EFL should compensate any club following suit
  15. How dare they be so sensible! Football on Saturday = Disrespectful , Rugby on Saturday = Respectful
  16. They’ve cancelled the games as a “mark of respect” not because they can’t guarantee security or anything like that so not sure it’s really relevant
  17. 100% correct, the decision by Prem and EFL is purely about saving face and playing safe in case they get some bad press. There will be hundreds of pubs and burger vans etc getting little or no revenue this weekend as a direct result of this decision, who may well have paid out for stock etc, but the EFL would rather “respect” the Queen who is no longer here than respect the individuals who run those businesses.
  18. I think it seems the correct decision really, today is the first day of mourning really, it’s all fresh etc etc but back to normal tomorrow. The EFL decision makes the RFU look wrong when I think they are being more sensible.
  19. I wonder if the Queen requested that when she dies, all of the BBC newsreaders have to talk in a slow somber voice all day and definitely need to look sad and can’t smile?
