They I should get the landlord to ring a bell when the players come out! At all the pubs around the Houses of Parliament, they have a buzzer that goes off to alert the MP's to get to the chambers to vote -

I'd prefer an actual journalist/presenter supported by ex players personally, rather than a cast of ex pros. The Keys and Gray combo on Sky worked the best for me (until the smash it stuff ?).

Brentry (it's the opposite of Brexit)
Tinmans Love Child replied to Porto Red's topic in Football Chat
After 6 months of no sleep with daughter no 2 I can't think anymore! Are we saying Bre-entry rather than Br-exit? Is that it? Surely the thread should have been something like Nigel Pearsout/in or something? The red herring for me is Brentry near Southmead, I'm thinking what has Brentry got to do with anything! I've been up since 4 forgive me! -

We had the same at home to Leeds thought under SC, the Lansdown stand hadn't been built, the Leeds fans were singing "there's only one Uwe Rosler" at 2-0 up then we scored 2 late on (both from Flint??) and I think Uwe was sacked a few weeks later! Atmosphere was great! Always stay until the end! -

My head says we will get pummelled, my heart says no chance, but my left big toe thinks maybe, just maybe, we might shock the footballing world and ruin some accumulators with a huge away win of 3-1! COYR -
Let's hope we don't get a Boris Johnson to Liz Truss situation if we do sack him! ?? Agreed, I don't need social media to tell me how poor results and performances have been! Don't forget when NP joined on a short term deal the results were awful and we still gave him a contract! What was the point of the trial run if the results are bad but you still get the job? Nothing has really improved since then. I'm gutted as I thought he was the right man (and I wanted him when LJ was hired which would have been perfect timing) but you can't be only winning 30% of your games, have a terrible home record for your whole tenure, and keep your job
-
Maybe not fair to compare but LJ also had the Crown Jewels sold every summer to contend with, interesting debate
-
So doesn't that suggest that in two years, NP has not been able to change the culture, attitude, tactics, training etc etc in anyway whatsoever to improve results by just using his experience, man management skills, tactical brain? If yes then that's pretty poor management in my book. Whatever players you inherit, what ever business you can or cannot do, after 2 years I would expect improvements on the pitch surely? If not by now then when?

I am sensing a horrible 4-1 defeat after we take the lead, maybe it's too many sherries over Xmas blighting my positivity so I hope I'm very wrong! I'll take a draw no problem COYR -
west brom arriving late for Mondays match?
Tinmans Love Child replied to Never to the dark side's topic in Football Chat
? it's taken me longer to get into town sometimes! I think sacrificing most of Xmas day to stay in a hotel for such a short time would have been a touch over the top -
Apart from that kick off! ??

Wow I never expected that! Just goes to show that you never know how players really feel, I've always thought he never wanted to be here but what do I know!

I see comments that this is the most talented group of players in years etc etc but we've heard that since the early 00's with that crop as well, then it was all about Rooney being the special one. I think we are competitive on the world stage for the first time in my 44 years, but probably lack a real top drawer superstar player to take us that extra step. I think Southgate has done an amazing job, and much better than the many many experienced managers before him have done. Would another so say experienced manager done better? No one can say but they havnt in the past
