He has improved for sure but no doubt a new keeper is going to be on the list this summer. Someone stronger with ball at feet and genuinely more commanding.
I actually do doubt that theres a keeper on the shopping list this year, not a number 1 anyway. Maxs distribution in our third is generally very good, it's when he has to hit it longer then he has a bit of a weakness (though he did easily hit halfway last night with a monster throw).
I also think it's a myth he isn't commanding. Very rarely is there any sort of mix up with him and the defence, he's more than happy to come clear the ball outside of the box and has caught more crosses this season than Bentley did in his entire stay with us. His stature probably gives the impression he isn't commanding but he actually marshals the box very well1 hour ago, Shauntaylor85 said:- 5

The Lino on my side (LS) was absolutely abysmal.
Seated near you and you were giving him pelters

I love how we've gone down our (Bristols) heritage with street art! I've always wondered why we haven't done something like that with an away shirt, or evening with that hideous grey mass at the front of the Dolman stand. That is calling for something to be put / written on it.
We had that training top with Bristol City written in
comic sansstreet writing as a nod to Bristols heritage -
I like Owers a lot but sometimes when we go close or score he completely obliterates any other sound around him including commentary and crowd noise. Love the passion but hard to know what's happened sometimes

I'm talking out and out centre forwards not wide strikers who rarely score (with the exception of Sykes) That leaves us the three centre forwards you've mentioned of which Cornick never played that roll at Luton, Wells is well passed it which leaves us with the still very young and inexperienced Conway, we were well under-cooked in the CF department going into the new season
Nobody was asking for another CF till Conway got injured and by that time Nigel spent the 25p he was given from the Scott money in the positions we did need reinforcements eg midfield and defence. If you remember we were then told we had hit the wage limit and he couldn't sign anyone.
So rather than blame Nige, if you think we were in such dire need for a striker, what's Manning done to fill that void- 8

The fact that Pearson didn't address the fact in the summer that we needed a striker is half the problem
In the summer we were playing a different system with 3 forwards. We had Bell, Mehmeti, Weimann and Sykes as wide forwards, and Conway, Wells and Cornick as central strikers. Cornick and Weimann could also play central or wide and let's not forget Yeboah was also getting minutes.
I'd say we were pretty well stocked in the forward department at the start of the season and it was only a significant run of injuries that started eating into these options. Though as I remember it I think the issues were more in defence and midfield that up top.
So I'm not having Pearson being to blame for that, let's not forget Manning inherited a top 6 squad

At least with the three up top with Anis and Sykes (or Bell Weimann Cornick etc) there was a bit of excitement with us going forward.

At Arsenal you have to attend 10 games a season on your digital ticket or you lose it for the next season. But you can transfer it to another person’s mobile if you add them to your community. Surely the club can find a more flexible way.
I'm sure that's easier to enforce at a club with a waiting list on season tickets.

Not sure you can enforce a no show policy. Someone's paid for that seat for the season, it's up to them how often they go. One of our group due to personal circumstances has only been once this season and I'd be disgusted if the club tried to do something to take his ticket away.
Essentially the clubs decided on the price of a seat, someone's decided to pay that price. Not the clubs business if that seat is filled on the day or not.
Also, to get a kids ticket you have to show a birth certificate for that child

For a team playing possession football we seemed pretty intent on giving the ball to Leeds fairly regularly

There's no plan B. Rotates the same players in the same positions and that appears to be his attempt of changing it to impact a game

Any reason why its not even open for consideration?
This is Bristol, This is Ashton Gate. Promote it
Maybe it's more cost effective to have Downsy remind us of this every game

It looks like it's been put together with clip art images. That said I've seen worse efforts - Leeds I'm looking at you.
It's also better than ours -
Was excellent under Pearson, was in with a shout for player of the year had he kept it up, but doesn't fit the style Manning wants to play. He might have to tweak his game a bit more or Manning might need to find new ways to use him. I'm confident he will come good

Wasn't there a stipulation that if 3 of 5
attendances at AG were over 25k the club were obliged to do something with parking?
Forest
Watford
Bears v Bath
City Women v West Ham
Leeds
Is this going to make that applicable?

The trick is to get the ground shop right. I’m just back from Copenhagen and visited both their ground and Malmö’s while there. Great stock levels, wide choice and in each store there was also museum type memorabilia dotted around - meant you looked around more, and gave the places an identity. The club mooted a museum in the past - that can’t be chargeable (wouldn’t make enough) so making it part of a revamped shop in the sporting quarter would be a great step forward.
The shop at West Ham had the old gates from Upton Park in which was a nice feature. Hopefully phase two of the redevelopment has a new shop built into the design, even over two floors.
Personally I don't see how difficult it would be to swap the merchandise around based on who is playing. A couple of clothing rack on wheels, an hours worth of time , and somewhere to store it is all it would take. Keep it mixed during the week. Much more space for different variety of items, makes it feel more like a 'home' club shop.

Has made the Premier League far more entertaining over the last few years. Probably gets some credit for making Man C a better team in some way too. Without Liverpool pushing them they could have won the league without breaking sweat most years. He's made them up their game.

Yes, I literally just said we have them. Although personally find them a bit dull (burgers etc), bring back the Mexican van IMO.
Anyway my main point is it's not a stick to beat Rovers with, it's a good thing!
The Mexican stand was the best food down there and nothings got close to it since

Surely the answer is to load up ST cards with the game. That would solve it. It was absolute carnage getting in last night
Not sure if I'm misremembering here but when we had the physical cards weren't they loaded with cup games once a ticket was purchased?

Thought he was great for a first start after a long time out. No coincidence that Tanner had his best game for ages. Lots of good talking too.

I got some Reebok Sidewinders from the shop in the Arcade as my first pair. Must have been about 1995? Worn by Cole, Klinnsman, Giggs. I loved those boots and wore them well after they were too small for me.
Interesting someone mentioned the Adidas World Cups for narrow feet, I bought a pair of Predators when they were the big thing and they destroyed my feet every game. Only then did I learn that us wide feet footballers were not welcome at adidas! Nike or Puma ever since -
Wouldn't be surprised if there was the 'second' smaller stager in the Lansdown concourse or even in the car park

Liverpool don't win much compared with Man City
Pretty sure under Klopp they've won the Prem, CL, FA Cup, League cup, club World Cup and the super cup. Not bad going really is it.

Beautiful shirt, everything that the 125 year anniversary shirt should have been. But to echo the above I hate that it's to celebrate a one off win over Leeds. Looking forward to the retro inspired shirt for last nights win
