It's got to be white or black surely. I can't see the need for a third kit with any other colours.

Or you might see less teams relying on long throws!
A shiny shirt won’t have the same effect as a towel.
Gains from a towel must be minimal anyway. I play football with a guy who has a long throw and very rarely has a wet muddy ball stopped him hitting the six yard box from the half way line.

From new EFL guidelines just published. MultiBall is back, not via ball boys is the way I read it, no more towels for long throws. Looking forward to this being abused as soon as Colin works out how to do it
MULTIBALL / TOWELS
The EFL will introduce a multiball system in all its competitions for the 2023/24 season. Match balls will be placed on cones in designated areas at pitch side to help increase the time of the ball being in play. Meanwhile, Clubs will no longer be permitted to use towels or other articles, including items obtained from spectators to dry footballs during matches.

Or even our actual robin from the middle of the new crest by itself if thats the look they wanted. That clip art ruins quite a cool shirt really
This. I thought the idea was we had that part of the crest to use in isolation ala Derby, Swansea (old badge), Liverpools Liver Bird etc. That's been done on training/leisurewear but not the kit. Instead we get this.
Also, on McCrories shirt it looks like the naff bird is now on another bit of material and stitched on rather than printed. Suggests that it's here to stay

I'm not as gutted over this as I thought. In fact given the amount of time since this story first broke and now I'm not sure Bryan has made any pitch time. He's not played a lot of football over the last two years and I think the club is probably being responsible offering a 1 yr contract (I would presume with an option on a second) as he wouldn't be on a low wage, and likely back up to Pring. If he wants to come 'home' and fits with what we are willing to offer, great. If he wants first team football, a decent wage, and can get a 2/3 year deal elsewhere then good on him. Doesn't tarnish his legacy here.
Unless he goes to Cardiff

I went to Fevs Football Analytics and looking at his analytics on him I think you could be right about the QPR fans, although the "only play in a back 3" concerns me as I was hoping we'd moved away from a back 3 so I'm hoping they are wrong. That aside the stats look good to me, he's tall, and has experience, I 'm really hoping it is just sour grapes from the QPR fans.
Could we be moving back to a 3? Would also suit Joe Bryan? Tanner might need some adjusting to it but it also suits Wilson

This strikes me as a Kalas replacement signing. With Dickie we would have him, Vyner, Atkinson and Naismith all fighting for 2 CB roles (assuming we aren't going back to a 3). All would expect to be starting. Throw Kalas into the mix and we have at least one too many senior CBs to keep everyone happy. If we sign O'Brien too then I would expect him to be playing back up at the moment.

cant wait to hear what they call it, suggestions on a postcard please. as they steal everything else, how about endy mc endface end?
Given it'll have seats and a non canvas roof they'll probably refer to it as the 'nice end'

Just going back to Tins, if you look at some of the players he signed while he was in charge of us: Keogh, Orr, Brooker, Russell, gave Lita that starting role. Big players for us in the GJ promotion season and beyond in some cases. Orr and Lita played in the Prem, Keogh played at the top end of the Championship. I'd say he's got an eye for a player.

This is going to be such a tough division next season regardless of who comes down

As the weather has picked up I'm going to finally get around to sorting out my old Eastend seat. One of the brackets is a bit knackered so had a thought that if I can get another seat/bracket set then I can just put both seats together and make a bench.
Has anyone got one hanging around they would be willing to sell me? I don't care if it's red white or black. Either for cash or a donation to charity? Drop me a message if so!

They added on the money spent on season tickets for next year so everyone who has bought one likely has another 350+ points to spend. Oh and you only have 8 days to do it. And it's still full of rubbish nobody wants
-
Sorry to have another f'ing moan about this but I've just noticed another 350 odd points I've collected on May 18th. Seems like loads of concession points have gone on there plus points for next years season ticket purchase.
Now as much as I want 8 windows stickers/other tat wouldn't it have been better to not give City fans another 350+ points each when a) There's nothing on there worth buying, b) Anything that's on there is seeming gone in seconds, and c) they only have 12 days to spend those pointsThis is just not being thought out is it. Why not carry those season ticket points to next season when they might have sorted their act out a bit.
@JerrySLO can't you do something?

We've all seen the decent saves on motd but we haven't seen how he was on crosses and commanding the box and this is why he was allowed to leave.

I think we need to know the amount of changes to the squad first. If we lost Scott Conway and Pring and only replace those players then top 10 is a success for me. If we lose a couple but embark on a high quality refresh of some key positions then we have to be at least challenging for the playoffs come the last few games. I think that'll be SLs view too. If Nige spends 10-15m (assuming money in from AS) and we don't even look like we are pushing on then it'll be deemed a failure and that'll be it for NP I reckon
-
Nige normally drops a few interesting tidbits during these interviews, I reckon we will get some news on outgoings at least

Having replicas to sell isn’t the same as having match wearing stock to supply.
I'd say the quality of the Hummel replicas currently far exceeds the quality of the ONeills ones. I'd be surprised if the match shirts are much different, especially at this level. I know Nike and Adidas do 'player issue' shirts that are more noticeably fitted but no sign of that from Hummel or Oneills

Jon saying they wouldn't have sufficient to see them through until the end of the season.
Blame the kids with the 'give us yer shirt banners!'
Basically he wanted to cash in on the Man City cup game and add extra sponsors etc. This isn't unreasonable, I guess the club would have covered another two weeks of Kalas wages from it , but I don't believe that the club only had a single set of shirts left, so that we didn't have enough to do this. I think the issue was likely supply for the club shop but this was the reason they gave to end the contract early. The fact Hummel still have City replica shirts in stock to sell online probably shows this. They might have had to say to the players 'don't go swapping or giving shirts away, we don't have many left' but I don't believe for a second we couldn't have got to the end of the season

Umbro would have been perfect for me. Excellent quality stuff, already have a relationship with the Bears where the crayons have been allowed to come out, history with the club, good training wear etc.
I reckon with a brand like Umbro, Nike, Puma etc I as a fan am happy to buy other non kit items as they just last longer. I've still got a Puma training too that I run in and that was almost 15 years old

I saw Liverpool have requested to start the season away from home to finish off their (very impressive non sheet metal, no pillared) new Anfield road end stand. Reckon the fewers might make a similar request?

The video is horrific. The speed at which the fire spreads is insane.

Craig Woodman probably the only one who didn't set the world on fire but I wouldn't say he was poor. Fairly solid. Danny Rose?
