Be interested to see if we put a break clause in. Because based on replies on here shirt and trainingwear sales are going to be well down. Most seem to like the design of the shirt (not me) but aren't having the quality. That's a big problem

A pretty overwhelming 'good riddance' from the Wycombe fans there. Brilliant

Out
Kalas JD Wilson Scott Bajic
Potential surprise outs
Vyner Williams Downsy
Ins
No names but CB x 2 LB CM x 2 (one being the Scottish lad who can cover a number of positions) plus maybe one surprise we don't see coming

It's all good giving it the 'what you saying about Ashton now then Bristol City' biggun. Come back in 3/4 years.
Mark my words, he's gambling on selling someone for big money or another promotion- 2

Which is nonsense. We already know our financial position was based on unsustainable player sales, at which point we had Fam and Eliasson who were probably the only two worth even a reasonable amount of money, which might have looked good on paper but didn't address a massive squad, full of underperforming players on big wages. The pandemic if anything hastened the position we found ourselves in by maybe 12 months but the damage was already done.
I'm eternally grateful to Steve for all he's done for the club over the years but I feel like he's backed the wrong horse many times. He should be thanking NP for clearing up the mess, sorting out the squad and keeping us in the division while doing so.
Let's not also forget that if a certain Mr Johnson was still here then Scott and Conway would probably be on their 3rd loan spell each and nowhere near the first team. Nige blooding these players and us being in a position to sell them will allow the club to build and not stagnate. I hope.- 24

Todays game was built up as an Alex Scott tugfest for weeks on social media, Kids only young and the expectations of signing off in style in what might be his final game at the Gate in a City shirt obviously got the better of him. He is only human after all
Absolutely this. He's had a lot of attention in the last few weeks. Winning YPOTY, named in TOTY, named in the list of top young players around Europe, been linked with Brighton and Liverpool, all this has naturally had people discussing him over social media, in the print media, on the radio, and on top of that the club make it Alex Scott day and hand out posters around the ground. It's a LOT for a young kid to handle so I'm willing to cut him a bit of slack for today. If that is the last we see of him at the Gate then he will have wanted to sign off on better terms but at least the fans showed their appreciation and support at the end regardless of the last 90 mins

When was the last time a stand was built at a football stadium with pillars in the way! Wallys clearly asked the designers for the cheapest stand that isn't a tent

Getting the trust of a top side to nurture one of there own isn't something I'd thought about but what a coup if it happened.
I feel like this is an avenue we've been down before. We did had a great season working with Tammy Abraham and subsequently got JD and Palmer at 'development' age. For whatever reason, be that changes in personnel at Chelsea or City or post covid, that relationship seems to have died off. We also had a less than successful relationship with Liverpool and Ryan Kent, and then were unable to get Nketia from Arsenal.

Imagine hearing that your manager wants 12 or 13 new players in, you'd be looking elsewhere already not knowing if you are one of the 3/4 he's going to keep

Maybe he should be concerned with a Third Tier podcast then. Maybe he can make that division engage with his awful uninformed opinions

Muted him and his podcast some time ago. They chat absolute sh*t and aren't willing to take on comments from fans who actually watch and know about their own teams. They are controversial for the sake of engagement only

City ladies were related from the PL because they were out of their depth in such a tough league. The ‘big’ teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City were way to good for them
Next season it’s back up with the ‘big’ girls again and I hope that City ladies will be able to strengthen over the summer. If they don’t it’ll be back down again this time next year.
Top punditry, you just described any relegation and subsequent promotion

I wonder if the club have any plans to present him with something at the final game? Would be pretty unprecedented for an Ex Rovers player!

Probably not, but everyone loves to bash him, so. “Jon and his crayons!”
Did a great job with the badge IMO. I agree the new kits are AWFUL, but we hardly have him praise when the Hummel kits were the best we’ve seen (again, IMO).
He gets as much praise when the kits were good as when they are bad I think.
IMO the new badge is still horrendous and I wish we'd bin it off asap

Were the kits £50 last year?

No thread for Leyton Orient the other night?

The fact they are getting a thread on here every time they play, national coverage, being all over social media and has half of football swooning over there is getting annoying already. It's not an underdog story, it's rich owners buying their way out of non league. I actually like RM and RR, they seem like good guys doing stuff for the wider community in Wrexham but I'm already sick of it.

I hate that PL clubs (lower table ones at that) have the financial clout to hoover up any half decent talent in the Championship and just let them sit on their benches game after game. There's an argument that the player could be more wise to their position but when the bright lights and ££ come calling I guess it's hard to turn down. How many clubs have their bets talent poached when it could be the difference between them pushing on for some time in the Prem of their own or languishing mid table

The PL blurb says its a collective agreement to begin at the start of the 2025/26 season.
Any chance of players names and numbers on the front and advertising on the back?
Not sure how many clubs would be affected if extended to the Championship. We'd be OK but it would give Stoke an interesting dilemma with the Coates family owning Bet365.
Would be a bit hypocritical in the Sky Bet Championship

You’d back him to break into that Liverpool team after a couple of seasons as they definitely need a freshening up. Not sure if I see them taking another youngster though, they have Carvalho, Bajetic and Elliot who are all playing in midfield.
They really should though, as I think he would bring something different.
Sounds like they've been priced out of Bellingham so maybe they are willing to buy a first teamer (someone like Maddison?) and then take a punt on our Alex as the next big thing

If it was a one off mistake it wouldn't be an issue, it would get laughed off (Pete Borough anyone?!) but there is a mistake very single game, some very noticeable, very obvious and I think people are just fed up.
Give me an announcer who announces subs and goals correctly in a simple manner over someone trying to whip the crowd up any day. This simply isn't required at a football match. Nobody comes home and goes 'you know what? That match day announcer really got me hyped up before the game'

Been waiting for those 'coming soon' items to go live for about 10 days. As usual, gone in seconds and missed out. It's appalling how little they have on there, and this is the tat they don't want! Imagine if there was actually something decent on there!
Also as to the previous point made, how the f can a digital £5 voucher sell out. World beating loyalty scheme my @ss. Jokers
