  1. Even their club makes up crowds, oh dear ? ?
  2. Having a look it was 48000, according to grimsby they sold 19000, that leaves 29000 tickets left for gas and corporate...
  3. This gashead has inadvertently come up with a great business idea for wally. Whilst we have two luxury hotels at the gate, they could do overnight camping visits at the mem. Imagine the Tilsons that would bring in!
  4. Love the 1 tier bit. Therefore if we were to go up would we suddenly be on par with the Manchester clubs and chelsea/liverpool/arsenal? Don't think so...
  5. That was our biggest ever crowd, and although I'm not saying it couldn't happen again, it is unlikely unless we start becoming very successful. If we could buy back the mem and then upgrade it to a 20000 all seater with room for more that would be perfect for the club at the minute
  6. Don't normally get riled up by them, but this irritated me quite a bit... Yes Neil, Bristol don't play at their spiritual home anymore, that's correct. Now, let's think about why bristol rugby club were forced to move out of their home of 97 years. It was because your horrible lot pounced on them when they were at their weakness, went on to take the ground over from them before gradually making it harder and harder for them to play there before SL saved them and brought them over here. As much as myself amongst many bristol fans are enjoying playing at ashton gate in front of big crowds, our spiritual home has been and always will be the Memorial Ground. So realistically, we'd love it much more if you lot just buggered off out of there and gave us our home back, then maybe SL fan upgrade it and turn our historic home into a decent ground. But as that won't happen, you enjoy being in the knowledge that you'll stole your ground off of the rugby club who you are glad don't play there any more whilst you sit there seething about what they now have compared to you. Rant over...
  7. Big game for the sags tonight at home to West ham u12s
  8. Ah OK it's clear now. So they've picked up 5 points from their first 8 games not because of anything other than the fact other teams are good at feigning injury... Makes sense now
  9. George smith with a harsh red card (yellow at most imo), saracens go to 30-18 up
  10. When you consider that we've made 8 changes that is a very strong line up. Makes such a difference from lsdt time where we had no depth whatsoever
  11. I’d play morahan at full back against sarries and put Pincus on the wing, personally I don’t rate Tovey Can see a few changes for Saturday though, we may almost ‘concede’ the game, and then have our best players fit for games where we’ll have a bigger chance of winning
  12. Can't see us getting anything from sarries. Gloucester could be a losing bonus point if we are at our best but still highly doubtful. The aim for this season has to be to win as many home games as possible and realistically Quins and Saints provide us with a near perfect opportunity for that. Let's hope that Friday nights game provides us with confidence and shows the players that with success on the field, we are a club with the potential to be getting 20000 every week and so it is their job to continue to keep the fans coming in the gates and behind them.
  13. Going to be more fans at bristol rugby tonight than there have been at rovers first four home games this season combined... Mind the gap gasheads
  14. Any pub that has BT Sport will show it if you ask I’d imagine
  15. Although that figure has since been stated to be incorrect. It works out at around 19k a week, I’d imagine there are a few city players on that sort of money
  16. They are much better prepared for it, a much stronger squad and a coach who knows something about rugby... Whether they'll do any better is completely unknown though, going to depend on injuries and keeping key players fit
  17. Not saying you have to embrace it, it's more the fact that tomorrow night will bring in a good bit of money for Bristol sport, as well as national recognition which has surely got to be good for city as well? Mine arrived a few hours ago, cutting it fine...
  18. Money made from this will go onto the Bristol sport coffers, which in turn will be used for both the rugby and City. So I guess it kind of is...
  19. Really nervous now for tomorrow. Going to be a big game and another great opportunity to show off AG to a different audience Come on Bris!
  20. Bournemouth get around 10/11k at home, so maybe that's what he is referring to? No, not on sky or anything... But still, they are obviously massive
  21. Looks like gaslogic has returned... Although I guess if you take the attendance at Cheddar last night, rovers probably did have more than twice as many fans as us for a midweek fixture...
  22. Obviously a gurt Ted, surprised he's held his disguise for so long...
  23. 23000 tickets now sold for Friday, making it the biggest crowd at AG this season... Hopefully Bris can win and bring some of those fans back for quins/saints
  24. Apparently DC is a better manager than LJ because he has four promotions to his name. 3 of those promotions were in non league and the fourth was in league 2, LJ has never managed below league one... The deluded ones keep on giving
