Absolutely massive game this one, the 7pm kick off means I can't make it but at least it's on sky (which is great on mute)
Biggest game in years for Bristol, probably bigger than the recent play off final, win and we are promoted, lose and its right back in the balance.
Going for a 5-2 bristol win with plenty of tries and a last minute Morahan score to win it!
We need a massive step up from Bedford, the pack needs to be much stronger and we didn't see the best of the backs a couple of weeks back so we need them to get more involved
Got my hartbury tickets this week, I know it's a lonhg way away but excited for the bristol invasion there

One can only imagine what arsenal TV would be like nowadays if they lost 2-0 to Preston....

Good win? Lucky?
Really lucky, Bedford could've been 10 points up at half time if they'd been more decisive, worst performance of the season so far.
Anyway, it maintains our 9 point lead on Ealing and makes the game v them less important next week

If you want some entertainment on Sunday, Bristol v Bedford is going to be a cracker 1st v 3rd highest points scorers in the league and a crowd of over 9k anticipated.
If not it's also on sky sports

They've sold a massive 350 tickets for their trip to Doncaster tomorrow

It was an absolute stroll. A lot of showboating going on in the 2nd half. We were basically playing Cardiff's 3rd team really. What's someone like Madigan is doing playing in a game like that?
They were getting rid of any rust for Bedford next Sunday, and it was obvious for a lot of the game that players were rusty so it was good for them to get some game time after a couple of weeks out

All of them on paper are good signings, good to see us not going down the big name route (bar Afoa) although I do feel we still need some grunt in the forwards, Thacker is a very good rugby player but a bit small and Malton won't be first choice in my opinion.
Stirzaker could well prove to be the best signing of the lot though, getting rave reviews in Australia and sounds like just what we need

I'm pretty annoyed they're ditching the B&I Cup. I think it's a great competition for player development.
Some serious signings for Bristol today!
Think they should do an English cup competition, include teams from the premiership down to the national 2 and give some of the smaller clubs the chance to host the likes of saracens/Leicester etc
Some excellent signings today, building a much better squad for next season than what we had last year, really excited for what the future holds for Bristol

Announced John Afoa, just what we need imo, solid experienced prop who will definitely shore up our scrum and has a bit of extra quality about him

so.....do they qualify (not that I care) ?
Nah it was basically a dead rubber, thankfully that is the last game we will ever play in that dreaded competition!

68-0 win tonight, I guess convincing is an understatement...

9 new signings going to be announced at 12 mid day tomorrow, who do we want then?
-
And now Aaron Chapman is out for 6 months, was really excited about what he could do for hartbury this season, the pains of having players in the England youth setup!

FFS Protheroe is out for 6-9m with the injury he picked up at the weekend
Real shame that, has all the attributes to be a top full back.
Hopefully he'll come back firing in August

Hugely more experienced line up announced for Friday though v. Cardiff. We really need to stop conceding so many points though.
Basically a first team on Friday bar Luatua and Cortes, going to be interesting to see if Cardiff play a stronger side as like us they can't qualify.
I'd imagine the coaching staff don't want the players rusty going into Bedford and Ealing although it is still a risky tactic as injuries now wouldn't be good

37-32 away at Doncaster for the reserves today, good win overall but still lots of poor defending

Some brilliant comments on here, it seems aldershot don't get why he would go to a club 'who will be in league two next season'..

So they've just signed a striker with a 1 in 5 goalscoring ratio in the conference...
They really are coming for us
-
Some brilliant posts from them on their 26 page thread about how far we are above them
Apparently they are going to watch the game tonight to see us get thumped so they can laugh at us about it and apparently, according to one highly deluded sag, the difference between us isn't actually that large....
-
The best bit is the pricing haha
-
Can this talk sport guy stop calling us bristol, we aren't the rugby team...

Yet still we concede far too many tries! If we're shipping points against Richmond and Pirates imagine how Chiefs and Sarries will profit from our usual loss of focus we seem to suffer from.
So true, conceding 7 tries in two games against Pirates and Richmond is unacceptable.
Reckon a new defence coach is a must in the summer, we have some top quality players who can obviously tackle well but if they aren't being told how to defend then their quality is worthless.
The line defence and defence in and around the rucks has improved, massive changes needed in the scrum and defending of mauls though as we were being bullied by amateurs yesterday
