  1. Tan built a team that made the prem but he never built one that was going to stay there, lansdown has built a team that will be a solid prem team next year. And lansdown hasn't 'shit on generations of history' either...
  2. The difference between Tan and Lansdown is that Lansdown is securing Bristol for the future and building a team that will challenge at the top of rugby, however I do agree that the red shouldn't be on the home kit, Bristol have always been blue and white hoops, never red
  3. Really like the away shirt but i wish they would get rid of the red on the home kit
  4. We can't, especially now they are the 6th richest club in the world and have a new 20000 seater stadium at UWE coming soon Oh wait....
  5. Lets not forget also when they travel away and the thousands they take around the country, which far outweigh our away attendances (despite having a lower average every year...) and then the 50000 they took to wembley for the non league play off final and the thousands they have locked out of every home and away game...
  6. The same trashton gate where those '82er teds' play at, they are so witty and original...
  7. Yes, look at us mistreating families by putting them in the top tier of a new 12000 capacity stand, if only we were as good as the gas with our welcome to new families...
  8. 34-31 defeat today v Bath Some really positive things on show. especially 2nd half Found ourselves 34-7 down at half time and then to fight back in the way we did was very promising
  9. Manor Farm are 5-2 up in their first game in the southern league, at least there is some good news...
  10. And according to the Telegraph, Piutau is on 1 million a year, making him the best paid rugby player in the world, we certainly aren't messing about!
  11. Under Pat Lam we aren't going to mess about, we'll be going straight back up and then challenging for top half with a couple more additions, the crowds will go above 20k if we are getting top 6
  12. http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/charles-piutau-to-join-bristol-rugby-for-201819-season/ We've only gone and pulled this one out of the bag...
  13. Yep, Bath at home at Clifton RFC, Saturday 2:30 pm, 12 quid for adults, 6 quid for Bris Season ticket holders, Under 12s are free
  14. 33-19 to Quins, score was level till 72 minutes then Quins ran away with it, promising signs though
  15. If anyone isn't going to the Gate tomorrow, Bris are playing Quins at Cleve, 2:30 kick off
  16. Seems like they still haven't got over us buying Matty Taylor, yet another thread on gaschat about him.
  17. My first Bristol game was v Leinster A, hopefully we can do well in the B and I cup, always good to get a good cup run
  18. Pre season games have been released, good opportunity to see the new faces in action http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/bristol-rugby-confirm-pre-season-dates-and-kick-offs/ And the games v ealing and hartbury are going to be on sky so dates have been moved http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/september-fixtures-selected-for-sky-sports-coverage/
  19. Definitely, Perenara and Ryan Crotty were both all but done earlier this year apparently but they pulled out because we went down, I'd imagine we'll get a top class front 3 for the premiership season as well, Pat Lam will have a checklist of players he wants and with SL's money and Lam's puling factor we are in for a very exciting time
  20. On the same day we sign a new striker for 5.3 million Rovers have a bid turned down by Peterborough for Luke James, the same Luke James that was meant to be the replacement for Matty Taylor last season when he came on loan and ended up scoring 0 in 23....
  21. Bristol sign Ryan Glynn until December, I reckon he's come in as cover and then in January when we are all but up TJ Perenara will be announced...
  22. Alapayi Leiua scores as Samoa lose 19-17 to wales, always good to see Bristol players score on the international stage
  23. still a learning curve, playing against the best in the world is only going to improve your game
  24. New Zealand won comfortably, still a good experience to play against the best in the world and samoa started off well
  25. Tusi Pisi, Jack Lam, Chris Vui and Alapati Leuia have all be selected to start v New Zealand for Samoa on Friday, on Sky Sports 1 at 9 if anyone's interested, should be especially good to see Vui and Leiua in action against the best in the world before they join
