  1. I can't see why there would be no relegation if they've just announced automatic promotion into the premiership with no play offs, and i can't see teams such as Yorkshire Carnegie or bedford wanting to come up either
  2. http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/ian-madigan-signs-three-year-deal-at-bristol-rugby/ Been confirmed Hopefully we can put Gav into a coaching role next season and maybe as a back up in case of injury then have madigan as first choice with searle as our number 2, we really need a good goal kicker who can play week in week out and hopefully a season in the championship will allow madigan and luatua to gel with the others so we are ready for the premiership
  3. shows how much of an influence Pat Lam is going to be, money probably had something to do with it as well....
  4. I'm sure your buzzing for your cup finals next season, will be the biggest games in the last decade for you
  5. Having just beaten Oxford away 2-0 you come straight onto our forum to post, obsessed doesn't even cover it....
  6. Good to see Varndell back starting for Sunday, looks like Bristol's strongest possible team, i reckon gav could make the difference if he doesn't get injured.
  7. I reckon looking at the teams Bristol have a very good chance of winning this one, the backs bris have put out are too good to be in a relegation fight and i can see them winning. With regards to the tickets, Sarries are overjoyed at getting over 10k for their game this weekend so that puts things into perspective, i doubt you'll find many other bottom clubs getting 14k plus week in week out
  8. Bristol were appalling today apparently, so pleased I decided not to go. Pat Lam has a lot of work to do to get this group back to the Premiership and keep some of our decent players
  9. With the squad Bristol have and with Pat Lam at the helm they'll go straight up surely, especially with the lack quality in the league at the minute. If they can keep Wooward and Hurrell i struggle to see anyone coming near them tbf
  10. Signed Steven Luatua from Auckland Blues for next season, 25 year old with 15 caps for new zealand, hope he's looking forward to the championship....
  11. varndell scored a great try but went off injured, i reckon Bristol may win this with the bench
  12. down here now, they're expecting 15k plus apparently so it should be a good atmosphere and hopefully a good performance...
  13. Looking forward to Friday, Quins are awful away from home (worse than rotherham....) and are without Robshaw, Marler, Brown etc, with Woodward coming back bristol have a massive chance of picking up 4-5 points and with worcester playing sarries and sale playing an in form Newcastle it could be a massive weekend
  14. Did you watch us under O'Driscoll? Worst football we've played in years, went down without a whimper, then wwe were bottom of league one when he left, much worse than Johnson
  15. And then claim we attacked them....
  16. All it will end in is a ban for Luke and a fine at most, doesn't look good for the club though
  17. Bath dominated tonight, when they put out a full strength side against us making 7 changes it was always going to be difficult Bristol needed to start strongly but they didn't and Bath were on top from the beginning, Bristol, under pressure made mistakes at the line out and were dominated at the scrum which made it difficult Mitch eadie was the only player to impress me tonight, varndell finished well but as per usual was at fault for a try we obviously need additions and as shown by the team selection survival is the main aim this season and if we do that i can see us pushing on next season and beyond
  18. Bris have made a few changes looking at the line up, Tuohy isn't injured from what I've seen but we don't have the best strength in depth at lock so we don't want him being injured for quins, especially with his injury record not being the best. I think thats just why we signed Matthewson, he has tonnes of experience and from what I've seen of him looks like a good player for a team in our position, especially with Worcester selling players in recent weeks it's good to see us bringing in fresh talent
  19. Teams out for tomorrow both teams putting out strong sides http://www.premiershiprugby.com/news/robbie-fruean-to-make-starting-debut-anthony-watson-on-the-wing-against-bristol-rugby/ http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/team-news-bristol-rugby-vs-bath-rugby/
  20. Weird one imo, hes obviously a top player but we have williams and cliff who are two good scrum halves, getting an All black can only be good though!
  21. Good for Bristol to have a few weeks break from the league, a win on Friday v Bath would be massive for confidence and with Woodward looking like he might be out its good they don't have a premiership game on the weekend Quins will be a must win game imo, they've lost every away game this season and will be without their England internationals, and with Worcester playing sarries it will be a massive opportunity to overtake them
  22. Something i noticed yesterday is just how good tammy's hold up play is, for a 19 year old he has a lot of strength and is able to keep the ball really well, even better than wilbs imo
  23. thought bobby reid was one of our best players today, better than pack abd o neil definitely
