  1. And also JFR is on England's bench v the baabaas, hopefully he makes it, great guy and talented player
  2. Irish went up last night, i can see them coming straight back down unfortunately, defensively they look shambolic. Hope they make a good go of it though and I'd rather we have Carnegie next season than them tbf
  3. A highlights reel of one of Bristol's new signings, only 21 years old, looks very promising imo
  4. wasn't the 2nd leg on saturday and they got knocked out?
  5. http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/bristol-rovers-announce-thousands-spent-49104 Don't worry everyone, they are still coming for us now with new curtains and blinds....
  6. 2nd was better, shame to see Woodward have a howler after such a great season, should have played that pass to Edwards early on so Edwards had an easy score in the corner. JFR and Mitch both have big futures ahead of them, I can see them playing for England one day
  7. Poor result today and the first half performance was dire, but what a top man Jamal Ford-Robinson is, gave away 3 bags of kit after the match before he leaves to Northampton. Managed to bag myself a polo shirt which is a couple of sizes too big but a great gesture nonetheless, he'll be missed
  8. I think in a mentor role he'd be perfect, it'd be a bit like the role Gav has played this year with young Billy Searle in that he's taught him all that he knows whilst playing every game as well, I just reckon he'd be getting offers from Ireland, Wales or France with the lure of European rugby as well
  9. Alby Matthewson has left now ( to go to sale apparently) so that leaves us with Andy Uren (a youth team player) and rhodri Williams, so it's a position i reckon we may be looking to sign one, as much as i think stringer is a good player, Bristol have gone past the stage of signing 30-40 year olds so i doubt he will come here and i doubt he'd want to spend a season in the championship, would be a cracking signing though
  10. Beaten 27-9 by a full strength sarries yesterday, we put in one hell of a shift and were 9-3 up at half time and the result doesn't reflect the performance imo, promising signs for the future though
  11. Bristol lost 38-34 away to Exeter, 77th minute try completing a second half comeback for the chiefs, shows that if we give 100% we can give the best teams a good game
  12. Not really a rumour but a player from Connacht (where Pat Lam came from) called Bundee Aki has been granted Irish residency and so can play for the national side even if he leaves the country. In December, upon the breaking news of pat lam coming to Bristol Aki said on twitter that he was 'pissed', maybe he could be on his way here?
  13. http://www.bristolrugby.co.uk/news/batley-and-latta-sign-for-201718-season/ Two new second rows signed from Gloucester, good to see some competition in the pack with young hungry players coming in
  14. That's true tbf, I was looking at Leinsters team for their game this weekend and when you look at the quality of some of the players not taking part LI could get some real gems there, even players like Cian Healy would do well in the premiership and he doesn't get much game time anymore for Leinster
  15. It's a shame really, you'd think that they would try and have more than 4 Irish players at London Irish really but it's a result based business and when you have a fijian for instance who is of better quality than an irishman it's obvious who you would pick, still think they should look down the irish route in the premiership though
  16. The problem for Irish is that they are a big club playing in a division they shouldn't be in so they are going to struggle to get top Irish players of the quality they need to come to them. I guess unlike Bristol they haven't spent millions to get out of the championship and are doing it a more financially stable way but that could backfire as it did with bristol last season
  17. Irish still can't guarantee premiership rugby next season yet which is what Bristol struggled with last year, whereas Bristol can guarantee more money, a better coach and premiership rugby in 2 years time and i guess Bristol are probably still a more attractive club even in the championship tbf
  18. Both Jack Lam and Piatau have signed on for the next couple of years, great news for Bristol two players who are definitely premiership quality and will help us to go up next year
  19. I try and get down a bit so it's good to see them doing well. It was funny the one guy standing by us trying to start off chants about every single one of the players, seemed like a right character haha. I might try and go down on Tuesday, should be a decent game, then theres last game of the season which is on the same day as Brighton I think which is a shame. If they go up it will be the highest they've ever been which is a great achievement and they'll be up against the likes of Taunton and Yate which will be great for them
  20. Nah I'm talking about Bristol's 2nd team, not some squatters down the road.... ;-)
  21. went down there today, quite a few city fans there as well, was a cracking win
  22. So is the 4200 the amount locked outside then?
  23. 4200, I swear you were going to be taking 3900 yesterday....
