It all centres around that cut off date and to me that seems pretty water tight. Anything that happened after that really has no relevance as Sainsburys were perfectly entitled to withdraw.Yeah. I make no comment on their prospects. Application to appeal can be a relatively cheap pursuit.... The appeal however.
I can see Rovers challenging the expert who said Sainsburys only had a 55% chance of winning the appeal over delivery hours.
-
They do know you can't appeal simply because they think the decision is wrong don't they? When they aak for permission to appeal they will have to show the judge got it wrong based on hard facts. Can't see them getting permission to appeal tbh because the judgement looks pretty clear.
-
Just can't see how they can appeal. My understanding is you can't appeal a decision because you think it's wrong. You have to show the judge was wrong and with that clause that the judge picked up on I just cant see how Rovers can appeal that as it seems pretty clear tbh.

How have Sainsburys shit on Rovers? Sainsburys were well within their rights to terminate the contract. Rovers signed the contract knowing the conditions. Forgive me if I'm wrong but I'm sure I've read that it was Rovers who acted in bad faith and not Sainsburys. My god there are some mindless comments on here. Just think back to the JPT at home to the gas. Quite Simply the best atmosphere I have even been in during a football match and I am an old git. Do we really want to see that rivalry die. Sainsbury have sh1t on rovers as they have shit on numerous others, how would you feel if the boot was on the other foot. All this guff of we hate the rovers, the gas took the piss in our hour of need is not better than play ground politics. It's about time we showed them some support. Long live the rivalry that I grew up with. You never know how much you miss things until it's gone, it's then too late.

Can they actually afford an appeal tho?
-
All those who gave Holloway a standing ovation would donate.it would be interesting having buckets at our first home game just to see how much was collected!!

It's like a child who runs away waving their middle finger at the bigger kids.https://www.facebook.com/mike.beaven.7/videos/1636126686602108/
Whens the hilarity going to stop?

I suspect his misses ordered him to go getting some shopping and he's pretended to have a protest for the benefit of his internet buddys.I like the way he automatically went for the cheapest eggs.

What a plonker! Think the joke is actually on him. Now if it was me doing that I wouldn't use a small trolley and wouldnt mainly pick up long life shelf items that can easily be put back on the shelf.http://postimg.org/image/biiu04fr3/
No idea why can't post pics today but please enjoy the attached link, the fightback has started so any Sainsburys shareholders should get onto their stockbrokers as soon as markets open!

If I was a sag head I would be pretty embarrassed. Their fans are constantly posting this sort of drivel all over the Internet. We have one or two that do that but nothing like their fans do. I'm sure if your thick and dumb you support the sags but if your smart you support us.

But only during quiet periods.Oh look the Gas now want charities to pay for them to have a stadium. But it is ok because they will let them use the gym for free. Despicable and shameless, such a horrible little club.
-
With us I'm sure SL knew Sainsburys had started to go cold on the idea of buying AG so instead of doi g what the sags have done he kept that on the quiet came to a compromise over the AV site which I believe will see an academy built etc and came up with decent plans to develop AG. Thats the differwnce between us and them.

Santas Grotto survives!!! Has anyone else noticed that the sags seem to attract the less educated of supporters?
Tbh really delighted with this. A war memorial remains and tbh if I look at it objectively then Bristol keeps a professional football club instead of losing it to another county.
However they have got exactly what they deserve. Been plucky for far too long.
-
I personally feel neither side will win. Both sides did things that were not in the spirit of the contract and some things were even breached so can't see it going anyones way which will of course mean Rovers lose as they wont be able to build a stadium.
-
Am I right in thinking that the terms of the contract state that all money recieved from the possible sale must be spent on the new stadium? Is it a possibility that Sainsburys lose this case and are told they have to stick to the terms of the contract, then UWE falls through anyway (due to increasing costs or UWE themselves not wanting the stadium any more) meaning that rovers can't move out and Sainsburys get to pull out for nothing due to the site not being vacant within any agreed timescale?
-
What time are we likely to hear? Bet there is a few people with squeeky bums this morning!
-
I think it will be a draw. Sainsburys did things Rovers didn't like and Rovers did things Sainsburys didnt like. Cant see either of them winning.
-
The longer it takes the less likely it is that their contract is water tight.
-
Perfect match.
-
So say the judgement goes against them woukd they then suffer a further blow by having to pay compo to Sainsburys?
-
So by the same token 26k for a one off match doesn't mean that much either? In all fairness
40k for a one off match doesnt mean that much
If you got that every week then you could call it incredible
In all fairness if we reached the prem I could see us easily pulling in crowds of 30k + each game and easily 40k for the big ones if we had the capicity.
-
An incredible fanbase yet could only get 26k for the biggest game in their history."We can see why Bristol Rovers is one of the clubs they were interested in talking to. We have an incredible fan base which is the envy of many clubs.
This makes us an attractive proposition for potential investors."

Jesus Christ, we can see where the sags get their delusion from......straight out of the mouth of Piggsy!!
An incredible fanbase is a team that takes over 40k to the national stadium for a poxy cup final.
-
Maybe Higgs knows which way the case is going so has invented this story to soften the blow.

Are they male or female? Difficult to work out.Dursley BFF's Woodsy & Fordy 62.......

Think they are suing Wycombe for them not providing them with their coach.
