We could have given it a go first half but we did not. They looked tired and disinterested but we played the game in to their hands acting with zero committment or pace.

I don't agree. In the 1st half we went toe to toe with Stoke, it was a very scrappy game due to the style Stoke play, we did struggle to deal with that style in the 1st half but we certainly got stuck in.

No chance. Made two great saves but had nothing to do otherwise.

We can’t expect to win games if we only decide to start trying after 65 mins.

Honestly it really could have been that many, it's been a long time since I've seen a goal keeper performance like that.

I've come out of the stadium feeling as if we have won because that second half we were Incredible. Absolutely battered them.

Walsh put in a MOTM performance in the second half.

No way does McGregor want a bar of that, he was completely overwhelmed. Khabib mauled him.

Haha definitely- I reckon Dutch courage got a fair few Irish lads a decent hiding last night!

My interest in UFC has been very limited in the past, last night I watched every fight and really enjoyed it, like a real version of wrestling.

All the fights were really good but the main fight was extremely boring, watching Khabib just hold McGregor for 5 minutes at a time was ridiculously boring and it ruined the fight. McGregor could have done a lot better in avoiding getting into those holds imo. When there was actually some boxing you can't say McGregor got mauled.

It was an effective tactic from Khabib for which McGregor had no comeback, Connor looked pretty helpless at times and kept looking at the ref in a way where he was crying for help.

Khabib deserved the victory and he would have deserves all the plaudits however after what happened after his victory is very hollow and tainted. Now instead of everyone talking about his victory the talk is all about how McGregor is the victim and how well he handled the disgusting scenes and acted respectfully. Now people look upon Connor as the winner.

I've heard a lot about how Khabib is a religious guy etc etc and how insulting his religion somehow makes his actions ok, I'm sorry but it simply doesn't, how is it ok to act like that and assault someone just because of something someone has said? Khabib is just a animal who victory wasn't enough for him, he couldn't control himself and that's why to me, he comes out of this as a loser. For him to then kick up a fuss about not being given the belt was laughable.

If they dispose of the only manager that’s ever taken them down to non league, you think they’ll end up in non league..?!

As much as I dislike the guy, I'm not sure their relegation was his fault. The damage had been done before he became manager.

Trollope was only any good whilst he had Lennie Lawrence along side him. As soon as Lawrence left, it all fell apart, iirc.

We have a decent structure in place with Mark Ashton, Lee Johnson and the two assistants and if any were to leave it could all fall apart. It just works and worked with Trollope and Lawrence, when you change the dynamics you take the risk of things turning bad. It was a very poor decision of them to part with Lawrence imo. They had a structure in place and when times got a bit tough they didn't have the conviction to see it through like we did.

I think we were actually in the bottom 4 when Trollope went (Could be wrong though). We got done 6-2 at Sheffield Wednesday and I remember driving back thinking that he would be gone soon, Personally I think he was a good coach and we should have stuck with him , and I would say the same for Clarke. I just do not agree with continual hiring and firing. You have to accept that every season some teams will be relegated and I don't think that should necessarily cost the manager his job.

Quite a reasonable post from a sag I have to admit.

I think the problem you have is that you have been so far behind us for so many years, I don't want to sound big headed but your fans look across the river to us and are desperate to be up here with us and I think that's what makes them impatient. They fail to accept that with the current infrastructure etc that you have mid table in league one is realistically the best you can achieve.

Trollope and Clarke both did well to maintain the level that your currently at, they both know your club inside out and I don't think there is a manager that could push you onto the next level without a clear plan and some serious investment from your owners.

Sometimes your fans have to accept that managers like Clarke and Trollope are doing the best with what they have got. If you dispose of Clarke I'd be inclined to say your football league status may be at risk again.

I've just had a quick read of their forum and the tide against Clarke is growing.

To our visitors from the dark side I will say this, Clarke is the only thing with any semblance of respect in your club and you are hounding out the only thing holding your club together. If you pay peanuts, you get monkeys so the issue is the budget he is given and NOT the Manager.

Sack him / hound him out and you're properly screwed so, as a red, knock yourselves out!! :)

We can see it, you, with your self important, deluded specs on, can't. If he leaves, you are definitely going down, bloody good!

    OTIB

Sounds similar to when they hounded Paul Trollope out. He did a decent job of keeping them in mid table but that wasn't good enough for them so they got him out and then tumbled all the way down to non league.

Seen pics of loads of Gasheads down the Gate enjoying the festivities. A masterstroke from Bristol Sport, the first step to them all joining the bandwagon in South Bristol.

A couple of them were singing that god awful song in the concourse and at 1st I wanted to say something but then realised I wasn’t at a Cith game. Instead I just let them get on with thinking they have got one over us by singing that song in an empty concourse.

For the record even if the mem has the worlds largest screen and we’re giving out free beer and there was topless girls I still wouldn’t go there to watch an England game. There is other places in Bristol to watch the game so why are they choosing to come to the home of Bristol City to watch?

  8. I really enjoyed the evening. Personally attending rugby is very much a one off for me as I prefer the intensity of football, rugby is too laid back for my liking in the stands.

From the SS it was really difficult to even try and see what was happening.

I’ve always followed Bristol’s fortunes from afar and it was great to take part in the celebrations, although I did feel like an outsider. Always enjoy a good pitch invasion also.
