  1. My thoughts are Huddersfield came out of the blocks flying, it caught us slightly off guard. They played a fast tempo high pressing game and for the opening period this worked. For their goal Pack made a good tackle to retain possession but then decided he was Ronaldo and dribbled it out. He was soon disposed and then it was one nil.

We slowly got back in the game and matched their fight, it soon turned into a very hostile game and became extremely open, our goal came somewhat unexpectedly but it changed the game. Tomlin made a good few runs and I was dissapointed he decided to go it alone rather than giving Tammy the throughball.

Freeman has been great but thinj we need to take him off at HT.

Keith Stroud is always a referee who sticks in my mind and I think so far we can see why.

But it takes about 90 minutes to play 80. Not as bad as American Football where a 60 minute lasts about 4 hours.

For a reason that I can't figure out I absolutely love NFL but despite watching many rugby games over the past 20 years I just can't into it. I keep trying but I just find it Impossible.

I don't mind the breaks in NFL, you get a couple of seconds on really intense play and then a couple of minutes to analyse that play.

Even with the big screen at Ashton Gate I was struggling to see what was going on. Couldn't for the life of me see where the ball was during the scrums.

  3. For the first time ever at Ashton Gate I felt completely detached from the action, I even moved into the Lansdown stand to see if it would help, it didn't.

There was a decent crowd but in all honesty it was like no one was actually interested in the rugby, it was like watching a training session rather than an extremely important match.

I used to go up to the memorial ground quite regularly and never once did i feel like I did today, today was my first rugby match at Ashton Gate and maybe that had something to do with it because it is so different to what I am used to?

The most annoying thing was having to stand up every 30 seconds whilst someone got a beer. I did like the rugby pint glasses tho.

  4. I won't be going again. It was a completely different world to Football. It was just far to slow for my liking.

The only good thing was there was more choice for food, I had an amazing burger and my friend was performing on the stage after the match and this produced w very good lively crowd until the bar decided to close early with hundreds still there.

Sometimes I do question if we have monkeys running the show at Ashton Gate???

I don't think we'll get promoted this season. We've been lucky coming from a goal behind too many times for the trend to continue.

But it's all going well so far. One point off the playoffs. Who knows?

Here's a genuine question for you.

If City don't get promotion, would you possibly like the prospect that Rovers could go up, and next year look forward to two of the biggest clashes we've had in 100 years, or do you just want them to stay in the lower league and frick off?

    I can answer this one.

I would absolutely love it. First off we would be guaranteed an easy 6 points. Could even rest our key players.

Your club is in no way prepared for Championship football, a new tent and a new canopy isn't going to cut it in the Championship.

Do you know just what sort of finances are involved at Championship level? Even we have struggled in the past to attract players.

You would face simular fate as Yeovil have so your welcome to a season in the Championship. It will be a welcome reminder to you just how far behind us you actually are. Even if you were in the same league as us you would still be a million miles away from us.

We've stumbled from the Conference to League 1 in two years. The old leadership who led us to the Conference have gone.  Based on last season, we are 7th in home attendance, competing against the likes of Millwall, Coventry and Sheffield United. Away attendances are incredible considering what we've gone through in recent years.

It doesn't match where you are now, but to call it a shambles is frankly nonsense.

But you knew that when you wrote i
