I would suggest attendances of 5-6k next season IF they go down. Still one of the best in the Championship as that League is tiny but 5-6k probably a likely marker for most games.

How can it be financially viable to having them playing in a stadium with 20k spare seats?

They really need their own smaller stadium (share with BCFC women etc) and then come to AG when they are likely to attract a big crowd.

Genuine question, do you still think LJ is the right manager to establish us quickly in the championship and then take us on to challenge at the top? You seem to be getting excited about us getting a win, one of only a couple in the last three million games or so it feels...

My excitement about winning is because BCFC have won, nothing more nothing less.

I genuinely don't know. My head is torn and has been for a while. I brought into the project and to begin with it was all rosey. Despite our bad run there has been positives.  Its just frustrating that those positives get outweighed by the negatives.

I really want it to work out with LJ because in time he will be a good manager but maybe it's too soon for him?

I don't think without him we would have players like Tammy. LJ is a highly regarded coach in football and thats why we secured the services of Tammy.

I think the problem is too many changes were made in a short space of time. Those changes were needed but when you sign all those players it's going to take a while to find your best team and get them to gel.

What's certain is he's here until the end of the season at least. For me it's these 10 games that will decide if he's up to taking us forward.

Get to the end of season and then this season needs to be picked apart by the powers that be.

I think that's the problem. Lansdown just doesn't 'get' rugby. To him Bristol are just an extension of City, and it really, really annoys me (maybe that's what he wanted) WTF was the point of adding a bit  of red to the kit? I'm all for a local big shot (and realistically Lansdown is the only one who fits the bill) coming along to help our local rugby club do well, but at least try and get a bit of understanding about the game, it's traditions and ethics.  Rant over.

Lansdown has been a rugby fan a lot longer than he has been a football fan. Part of the reason he got involved in football was because of his son.

But let's not turn this into a Rugby V football debate.

Lansdown isn't the reason for their bad form this season. The rugby club has a history of being badly managed and Lansdown came along and saved them, turned them into a professional outfit and has given them a free top class stadium and is about to build a new training ground.

I don't know much about the internal goings on at the rugby club but if your looking for someone to blame I'd look at a few others who have been around since the bad times.

The red on the kit I quite like, it's classy and it ties in with the red stadium. The point is they play in a red stadium so as the colour of the stadium is not going to me changed it makes sense to embrace it whilst keeping the traditional colours.

What's the difference between that and when the rugby club sold its soul to Mitsubishi? Oh didn't they have red on their kits back then? Quite predominantly if I remember. Didn't the hoops disappear too?? But I suppose that's all that is OK because a local rich person who has pumped millions into the club that he cares passionately about is far far worse because he's added a bit of red to the kit.

Im sure he gets the traditions, that's why he's turning our bloody main stand into a Rugby clubhouse!

The only criticism I have of Lansdown is that he has been too trusting of the advice he receives. He doesn't run the football club or rugby club, he's in Guernsey puffing away on a huge Cuban, he leaves it to the people who he believes can run a club successfully and that imo is where the problem lies. The football club and rugby club never want for anything, Lansdown will always give what he's asked to give.

This season was always going to be tough for Bristol. By the time the season ended they couldn't hardly sign anyone. They really needed to get through this season.

Nice to hear that we was united. We can not afford nothing else in this situation. Many games left and hard work in every games must be. This game showed the capasity in our team. If we do the same trick in the rest of the season we will be ok.

At one point the noise from the Newcastle fans was deafening, I had never heard such a noise at a football stadium. Newcastle were really on top of us at this point. Every man and their dog shouted as loud as they could to offer some encouragement.

Well done to you and everyone else who went.

So the findings from Saturdays match then?.. He wished he had not sold Ayling and Freeman and then pretty much only Giefer would have been his purchase on the pitch. So much for the stalwarts not being up to the task. So much for 'his' team.

Makes rather a mockery of Mark Ashtons 'we will leave no stone unturned in our quest to improve the team' remarks.

Well maybe that quest caused the dissenting voices in the squad as each new player came in so the anger and disillusion stepped up and Lee had utterly inadequate skills in which to deal with it.

I suspect JP had a greater influence in yesterdays team selection than much of the nonsense that has gone before.

If Lee does hang around and becomes JP's defacto assistant we may stay up. I think it may have already begun.

It truly was a whole club performance and shows what can be achieved when everyone is United.

You really had to be there to feel how great the atmosphere was. Playing the best team in the league, being up against 49k Geordies and being right up in the heavens ment the team and fans were really up against it but each and every one of us raised our game. We all had to shout as loud as we possibly could to get our message of support accross to the players, every tackle, every clearance and every save was greeted with a war cry from our fans. How we held on I don't know but what I do know is as a club we held on together.

For 90 mins our current situation was forgotten about. Ok it was only a draw but today will go down as one of my most memorable away days.

I was expecting to get hammered by Newcastle, but I treated this game as a cup final and a small part of me believed we could nick a result.

Every Newcastle fan I spoke to were very impressed with our performance and our vocal support.

My MOTM was Giefer, with Cotts coming a very close second.

Giefer was born for today's game. He pulled off some great saves, dominated his area and his performance inspired the defence. Today he looked right at home at St James Park. And then what impressed me the most was when under the cosh he would slow the game right down to relieve pressure, throw himself on the floor when catching the ball, taking an absolute age to take kicks, this game us a chance to regroup and catch our breaths. Not had a keeper of ours do these things for a very long time.

Ok it may be a flash in the pan but on today's performance he gets my full credit.

LJ imo got everything spot on today (which can't often be said) for once he made the right subs at the right times.

  6. We were far to pedestrian, especially in the first half. I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon and call for LJ's head, neither am I a blind follower.

Week after week I see us being pressed and the ball being passed around quickly, we need to get better at this.

Disappointed with the result because had Tammy scored then we would have won

You won't see me reaching for the razor blades because all these games we are losing its very small margins that's costing us.
