I had him down as CB or CM, but I’m starting to think @GrahamC might be right about RB.

I honestly don’t think the plan is to go to a back three though.

FWIW when McCrorie played CB in 21/22 he played mainly as the LCB (previously rumoured target David Bates as the RCB) of the pair.

I think we will see more clarity when we hear the resolution of Kalas’s contract.  I think he’s off.  And I think between:

Tanner, McCrorie, Vyner, Dickie, (Atkinson), Naismith, Pring and hopefully Roberts we have enough for a back four with plenty of flexibility.

Assuming Roberts signs and Kalas goes, it will be interesting to see if any other defensive targets start being rumoured.

    Its all good debate though.

I'm slightly concerned that we are gathering players who can play in a number of positions but aren't specialists in any! It does sound like dickie, roberts and McCrorie favour a 3 at the back formation so I'm starting to think nige is plotting a move back to it. Given how much we improved going to a back 4 this is a bold move!

Not really sure how i feel about this tbh. He is clearly way down the pecking order, and may as well offload him but i can't help but think HNM has had some shit advice. There is a decent player in their amongst all that hair, but you need to be playing. Concentrate on training well, and play. Show off your talent to get a move away not shut up shop. Disappointing to see a player with such a great opportunity piss around with his own career

Sorry what has he done wrong? Just made it clear he isn't going to sign a new contract which is his prerogative. It's up to Nige if he doesn't want to play him-either due to triggering extra payments to Monaco Or to focus on committed players which is fair enough.  Should Han have signed a new contact if he wants to leave?

I doubt Wells and Weimann are on more than him with their latest contracts!  James I’ve got no idea.

I honestly don’t think there is anything more sinister than he wants a bigger contract than we can afford, and he lost his place and his junior has taken his chance.

Where has that fee come from?  I speculated it might be somewhere in that ballpark, but no ITK from me!

That’s the kind of thinking we need.  Just because we sell a striker doesn’t mean we can’t use the money in other positions. ??

    Common sense fevs

  4. He's a massive bonus and his performances this season are what you would expect from a £5m signing on £25k pw

well done to the academy and I look forward to seeing this lad develop further-great stuff

  5. Actually think he's better at holding up the ball than Chris Martin-really clever flick ons and the timing of his jumps means he wins more than his fair share. Really impressed with workrate and team ethic last two games also-keep it up

  6. That's the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen. Usually if you make a huge mistake (the Scott penalty which at 2-0 the games probably over) then you make up for it in the 2nd half but he doubled down!

Dunne should have had 2nd yellow for that foul on semenyo-was quite nasty and it broke up play so how was that different to kings?

he seemed to give them any foul and didn't give us one! Then he topped it off by missing the handball in build up to them getting corner they scored from!

That bald P**** genuinely cost us 3 points last night!

Thanks for this, didn't know that about taking the mean of ffp losses for those two years so that's reassuring!

fevs can you please share your workings on how we've knocked £12m off the cost base this year please, I'm really struggling to get there once you reflect the new signings made?

    thanks

  8. I thought we did well to get a point today as I fully expect forest to be promoted on that evidence! If we played them in say jan and they were top (which they could be), people would be very pleased with the point.

Obvously lacked a presence up front and our midfield was dominated but the new signings looked like upgrades and there were lots of positives.

another exciting season to look forward to :)
