  1. We’ll have Berwick back too ???
  2. Has the big impairment wiped out amortisation costs? Guesswork!
  3. Agree, would need a silly offer…and I don’t think it will happen.
  4. Stoke 20/21 was their final year of PPs don’t forget….21/22 just normal revenues.
  5. When you said you were gonna have a go, I felt for you ???
  6. Yep, I look at it in terms of how might James cope without him. Scott gets through so much.
  7. No, you’re right, story definitely started out as a £4m fee / staged payments, etc, etc. But over time it’s been revised to £750. https://www.gloucestershirelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/portsmouth-bristol-city-cardiff-cheltenham-3191012 I do think there might’ve been some good reasons for Ia higher fee getting out into the press!!!
  8. Yes, Jon Palmer has written about it since as £750k.
  9. RIP. Great player, great manager, appeared to be a great bloke too.
  10. Bonkers….sign Nagy and Massengo, both new to this country and the type of football…and then sell the player who the whole system was built around.
  11. @italian davelots of logic in that. re Webster - I believe the story that went “Mark - if we are gonna sell Webster this summer, we do it early, ok?” So I can feel for LJ on this.
  12. I’ve probably posted this before, but I heard it was something like a £1m with a sell on, or £1.75m flat???
  13. One of their posters on their forum - TWTD - has it sussed. Basically you build a really good squad in Lg1, where the owner can inject equity to overcome the SCMP FFP rules and then you quickly get the Champ and into the PL within 2 seasons. However, despite them spending good m9bey, the squad is full of bloat and isn’t anywhere near say Sunderland’s level to think about going “back-to-back”. SCMP - lg1 FFP is wages:turnover based. Here’s a link. https://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/scmp.php
  14. He’s all over twitter today!
  15. Does any Ipswich fan ever think about the players they signed in the summer, or the ones last season…who are just piling up, loaned out or sold at a loss.
  16. So that’s Broadhead, Hirst and Corbeanu that they’ve been linked to today. Luongo might already been done, has been training with them.
  17. Re wage bill - possibly increased again this season. Afobe just been mutually terminated (his contract!!!) btw. Yes, re new FFP (guesswork at this stage), they may have to cut back a bit. Here’s a new version of my Viz for those clubs who’ve submitted 2022 accounts.
  18. I’m the opposite, I want them to stay. I want Antoine to have the impact he did after Xmas last season. Scott I think is important to us. We certainly don’t need a profit next year to avoid FFP. It appears we’ve worked with the EFL to stay within certain budget limits this year.
  19. I thought they drive to the ground early Saturday morning and then got the coach up to the HPC and then back to AG so they could then go in their separate directions post game. I’ve seen Kalas’s car and others at AG on match day
  20. Khadra OOC this summer, guessing they’d offer him a contract to protect compo, hence why Sheff Utd had agreed an obligation to buy on promotion. Difficult to guess what kind of fee they agreed. But it’s a good shout on loan for 5 months. Fee might be too rich for us, even in the summer. i’ll see if the loan happens first, then worry about anything else after that! ? My gut feel is that if we do sell in this window that any fees paid out might still wait until the summer. Loans with option / obligation to buy if we stay up type of thing. We might pay fees for younger players though.
