  1. I’ve liked him since I first saw him for Bath City. Got a good career ahead of him, hope it’s at this level (or above)….with City.
  2. Absolute negative cock. Possible one or two are ill as Nige made reference to yesterday.
  3. Conspiracy theory no. 26432 ?
  4. I just remember Nagy charging round like a headless chicken getting nowhere near his player and getting picked off leaving Zak exposed.
  5. 3412 imho Bentley Vyner Naismith Atkinson Wilson King Massengo Pring Weimann Wells Conway
  6. Was Nige in charge for Cov (a) season before last when Zak played in midfield. If he was, he won’t be entertaining it again ??? In fairness he wasn’t bad, but Nagy had a shocker alongside him which didn’t help.
  7. Taylor Moore played 45 for Shrewsbury last night in their 3-2 win at home to Carlisle. Came off at h-t for George Nurse when it was 1-1.
  8. I was misinformed…he played RWB last night.
  9. I get why you might suggest that, but why spend all pre-season settling into a system that he feels suits the players he has and has recruited to, to then dispense with it after 2 matches. That is what LJ did, flip flopped game to bane, mid-game, etc. I hope Nige works on fine tuning the back-three based formation, because it isn’t far off clicking. There’s been evidence in the first two games that it can. I don’t think a back four, a back two, a back eight or whatever solves the issues we’ve seen….it’s down to players defending better as a team and as individuals. Ultimately I couldn’t give a toss about formations, it isn’t that that defines success. FWIW, I’d have rather he’d stuck to a back four system last October, but he didn’t and he’s now happy with the system he’s deploying. I’d rather he stuck with it, or where do new signings like Kane Wilson fit in? I guess we will learn more later on this evening.
  10. I think he was partially at fault for the third goal too, but I’d wrapped that up in “bad performances”. You could argue others contributed to that goal, e.g. Williams allowing Pritchard ages to cross. I might also argue he was goal side but badly positioned rather than wrong side per se, but I think we are in agreement he had a poor game overall…that’s the main point. And I agree re Vyner too. My post on Saturday evening was (paraphrased) - why is there a thread for Vyner but not Naismith. Again we agree that Naismith is unlikely (based on history) to be repeating said mistake(s) like Vyner has.
  11. It is my opinion, but some of that opinion is based on facts, certainly the financial mess we are still trying to navigate. I was also posting generally re the “2 game knee-jerkers” Fine if you don’t agree, it’s all about opinions. Not everything done in pre-season comes to fruition from day one once the season starts either. Best laid plans probably meant Kalas in the starting eleven. Best laid plans problem didn’t expect Naismith to eff-up in the fourth minute, etc. It’s football, shit happens.
  12. I think we want to progrsss and earn some money from a cup run. Hope we go strong and they play kids…and we win.
  13. As Naismith was probably our MOTM v Hull, one mistake and one bad performance don’t deserve the hook. As you say, if he continues with rickets then he will find himself out if the team too.
  14. I’m sure the OS pages will be changed at some point to reflect its now u21 league.
  15. I think he will go as strong as he can, whilst considering rest / rotation (minutes). I don’t think the likes of Towler or Kadji will start.
