  1. Looks like a job for “star boy”!
  2. Oh, no, just seen. Awareness poor. Then he almost got caught, but luckily got fouled. Not a great start.
  3. Wonderful athlete in the Spence mould, but technically has some improvement to do.
  4. I’ve no idea, but had Stratford not paid them, they’d have likely missed the wages payment for this month and get minus 3 points.
  5. Could be, although as training camp is in Austria and he’s an EU citizen…he could partake in the training camp. I wanted to put the “?” emoji after it….but I am purely guessing. ???
  6. He can play either Mr P. His attacking qualities lended itself well to FGR’s system last year, as it did with Cadden on the other side, who is a LM by trade. The season before Wilson played a lot as RB. A case of OTIB pigeon-holing players. Wilson himself said he likes the defensive side too. In fact, he’s played LB too.
  7. Buse was offered his year as part of the released / retained announcement, so some time before the interest in Bajic. I’m not convinced the two are linked. My thinking is that Buse is competing with Wiles-Richards, and that Harv may be going on another progressive loan after Gloucester last season, and that Will will become 3rd choice first team and u23 keeper this season. If Bajic comes in, O’Leary will be moved on. Thats my logic anyway. ? Too quick for me.
  8. Forgot to add that I read somewhere that you have to spend the minimum amount….think Brum have lost their cat1 status partly because they didn’t spend enough, I.e. you can’t have cat1 status and then do it in the cheap.
  9. It’s impressive isn’t it? Did you see the magnetic boards with all the players on it across every academy team, up to u23s, with little things like, who is gonna “train-up” with a higher age group that week. Lots of detail goes into it.
  10. Yep, happens all the time…whether it should be is another matter.
  11. Yes, he was at the back of the “peloton” in one if the videos.
  12. I feel a squad that has Naismith added and O’Dowda removed is stronger. That’s not a slight on O’Dowda nor am I comparing them like for like. I see a genuine first team starter added and a squad member leaving. Add in Wilson to compete with Tanner, to allow Scott to play in midfield (as you say) strengthens us too. A fit Williams couid turn us into a top 10 team based on his involvement last season. It’s a big if, but he is actually getting to do pre-season this time around, something he’s not been able to do so far. With him on the pitch we average 1.86 points per game. That is significant, it’s top 6 (85 points). I don’t know yet the impact Sykes will make. Plus I expect another couple of signings to improve upon those that go out the door. Everytime we do that transaction (one better in, one worse out) we are improving the squad.
  13. No, he’s not a defensive coach, he’s the assistant manager. He doesn’t have a positional role.
  14. …guess that is why loyal-Wayne left WRDC then!
  15. Me too. I’ve worked with people who are great fun, very likeable, but also lazy piss-takers too…and you find that out when the going gets tough and they don’t pull their weight when you’re on the same project.
  16. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2022/06/27/exclusive-wayne-rooneys-agent-investigated-secretly-paying-derby/?utm_content=football&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=Echobox&utm_source=Twitter#Echobox=1656362705 Stretford paid the wages!
  17. I can only go on what we’ve seen published from the EFL…which in fairness is a bit vague! On income, I’ve already stated that I think income will be higher than my projections. I think we are between the £39m and the £42m I predicted. Every little outward deal helps.
  18. I ? agree that points deductions can happen in the season, based on projections…I just don’t think City will fall foul of it. Waiting for news on how the EFL are gonna adopt the new UEFA FFP rules.
  19. I bet detailed football data had very little to do with Wells’s signing. I suspect “pound sign” data and the fact he was owned by Burnley (who wanted Brownhill) had much more to do with it….don’t you?
  20. My guess, small transfer fee and a sell-on.
