  1. Spooky! https://twitter.com/bfcstats/status/1495841947071791115?s=21
  2. I have him at £2.8m plus £1m promotion add-on. That’s not to say I’m right though.
  3. No, in virtually all cases their careers petered out. Poor old Trev Tainton ended up suffering having to play half a dozen games in the same team as me!!! ??? Id have to look it all up, I know Sweeney went to York, Trev to Torquay with Rodgers, Merrick to Hong Kong, think Mann might’ve gone to somewhere like Barnsley. Others will rattle it off for you.
  4. Some of their fans are now getting desperate to drag other clubs down with them, to try to cover the mess they are in. Thought we were gonna get a PB last week? What’s the hold-up?
  5. I assume it was filmed by Jonathan Pearce’s dad, rather than “the tv”…maybe he only had b&w???
  6. I was gonna do a fact check on it…because as you point out he only played half a season. He was top of aerial duels per 90 for CBs in Lg1 though. But not for aerial duels won %.
  7. Here’s 11 of the 13. EFL / iFollow cameraman / producer missed two cutting to replays!!
  8. Jon started it with some poor comments in his role as Chairman on Wednesday afternoon at the Huboo launch. Perfectly fine comments from a fan’s view, but as Chairman they were on the inappropriate side.
  9. Until 3 games ago we were the cleanest team in the Champ based on fouls committed. We’ve moved up 3 places due to some awful referees.
  10. Thought these might be of interest to you…from TheAnalyst website. Passing sequences of 10+ passes: City well down the list. I’ve highlighted in green those teams that benefit from passing it a lot, and those in red who I’d say pass it for passing’s sake! Derby’s is probably a bit harsh, as they’d be higher up the table w/o their points deduction. Then I look at who creates the most direct attacks: City now in the top half, but none of the teams who are really struggling counter attack better than the top teams. Watch out for Coventry on the break tomorrow night.
  11. Sorry, not my usual “habit”!
  12. They’ve been rotating their four strikers of late, seems to be Balogun / Connolly or Whatmore / Sporar, Wilder plumping for the first pair on Saturday. I don’t think they caused us too many problems in the main. We were very effective at stopping McNair building attacks by coming forward from the left side, we were happy to let Fry have it centrally, and he looked lost if he had to moving forward with the ball. When they did get good “territory” in our third, I did like the rotation of their midfield runners, working in pairs to come short and go long. That 15 minute period at the end of the first half had me worried, but they didn’t create much. Second half the game became a bit more open, but although their shot count grew, it was mainly chances from angles or outside the box. We defended well.
  13. Simon Church up front, Steve Vickers in defence.

    Antoine

There was one occasion where he actually came off worse against Johnny Howson…I was a bit shocked. Was around the h-w line.
  15. @BCFCGavJames should return to training this week.
  16. Bell is a right footer, plays LF / RF in the main, although can play down the middle. You need a Countdown Clock too! It was me who posted the yellow card rules….so Ian was right - “the bloke who said 10 is correct”. Of course I’m right, I deal in facts, not opinions stated a# facts! ??? Re refs, last season, no crowd pressure….gone back to their bad old ways this season. Good recall Neil - Ulloa and Japanese lad! Geoff Merrick - he might be 5’7” now, he’s 70 and shrunk a bit! Agree with Ian re Sweeney at RB in my time too. Also bit about players finally realising that the club (now) recognise them. A good sign, hopefully Gould’s influence. Jimmy Mann’s goal was top corner not bottom corner…was still rising! Neil made me laugh re Jon Lansdown. Brilliant stuff. ??? Jon is a fan, not a Chairman. His comments were made in that vain, he should remember his position. Interesting debate re ownership. Should be a spin-off pod re finances / ownership. Re Kelly, Brownhill and Webster - the last two we would need to probably pay Preston and Ipswich a cut too. Re sell and loan back - can’t see Nige wanting that. Not sure staged payments will make much difference, that is usually reflected by an increase in fee to cover “credit”. We aren’t a club that suffers from cash flow issues per se either. Good point re season tickets, fans will need a boost, contracts would help boost numbers imho. I thought the crowd looked good on Saturday, didn’t look as sparse as recent weeks. A good pod this week. ??????
  17. This is why I think Han will sign too. He played a lot of games in his first season here, but if he gets another 90 on Tuesday he will surpass that and with 12 games left after Tuesday should smash it. He’s playing, he’s trusted…he knows he has areas of his game to improve. He finally looks like he has a group of like minded, dedicated teammates, especially the young ones, like Scott, Conway, etc. Cosy Club to Culture Club.
  18. I hate Barnstaple too…got gobbed at by one of their fans whilst warming up.
  19. Yep….Johnson jr following Johnson snr
  20. Thought this was a Bruce Springsteen b-side? ?
  21. Fouls 3 Time wasting 1 Dissent 1 Scuffle 1
  22. I was in away end, halfway between goal and corner….felt like I was right behind it! In my top 4.
  23. I did that first time around ??? Me too. I took my dad (80) yesterday, so it took me back to standing on his toolbox in the away end with my bruv. Was nice for him to be with me and Joe.
