  1. Whether it’s because I’ve seen the newsreel several time, but that seems to have vivid memories, but I don’t remember much about the matches around that time.
  2. He put some thought into the answers, which I liked. He has been good on Robinstv too, a good appreciation of the game.
  3. I think the SPL is growing. We are seeing quite a lot of players coming “down south” and doing well, certainly at Championship level. We’ve had the likes of McGinn at Villa, Tierney at Arsenal, but now seeing Christie and Hedges too. Plus Dykes (although an Aussie), Souttar, C.Paterson, Campbell and McKenna. I’ve probably missed several. They are also operating under slightly different work permit rules, i.e. they still have an exceptions panel and this is allowing them to bring in players that “we” can’t.
  4. I was 11, don’t remember loads about it, except thinking City might not be around any longer and Rovers fans at school taking the pi$$.
  5. Carlisle manager is Agent Keith Millen.
  6. Jon….Wyscout attributed the offside to COD. I think it’s very tight…his head might be offside, but that’s the only thing I can see, unless the Lino is a split second late tracking the point of the pass, in which case he’s just offside. Even VAR might struggle to get their lines right on this one! Martin not influencing play. It can’t be Martin though.
  7. It’s a funny one….I’m pretty critical of refs….for getting lots of little things wrong. Those that get the little things wrong, usually get the big things wrong too, i.e. they are all-round incompetent. This guy I thought got the bits and pieces right, but bottled the big decisions.
  8. Probably because the Holding Company has been used previously by other clubs (Spurs were the first I think - Irving Scholar days), and therefore a precedent set….whilst maybe SL thinks it’s an effective way to structure the business.
  9. I wonder how much impact losing CEO / Recruitment guy Dane Murphy to Forest has had?
  10. Yeah, bound to be gaps in it. It won’t know whether minutes missed were non-selection or injury for example. Its never gonna be perfect, but it’s a really good starting point.
  11. There is definitely £15m slug in their accounts….I’ve not seen an impairment to that….but we’ve not seen accounts. I actually looked at this last week. That to me proves he was their player. Whether they’ve paid or not is a different matter.
  12. Ta, more useable than the one I got recently.
  13. @IAmNick- @Hxjis spot on with his summaries of Bristol City Holdings Ltd, and the companies within that “group”. @Mr Popodopolous- as it currently stands we are miles inside FFP fo the cycle ending 21/22, mainly due to the profit in 18/19, but also the 50% of 19/20 and 20/21. I know you know this. What we don’t know is the level of covid losses allowed, but the EFL Rules look pretty clear…or should do to a Chief Finance Officer and CEO. We know the problem arises for the cycle ending next season, when the 18/19 profit drops off. My estimates for this season are: Income: £26m Costs: £48m Loss: £22m (£17m after allowances removed)
  14. And he got Flint sent off up at Deepdale too. A bit sly.
  15. Thought he had a good game today. Had a poor opening half hour last week at Charlton playing RB rather than RCB as he was today. Not sure if my d.o.b. date is accurate but if so, he’s 20 now….so he’s possibly got a bit to do if he’s not been involved with first team like Towler, etc. But always tough to judge.
  16. He’s the tv producer, presenter and commentator for Robinstv. Not sure if that’s directly for Bristol City, or contracted. He has commentated for Yeovil Town, and City men and womens.
  17. It is, against a good opponent, he had a positive impact on how we played. That’s testament to his ability…often games like this, against good opponents can pass a player by. His performance today wasn’t great for the u23s…far too much flashy stuff, drag-back turns. Expect Nige will bring him back down to earth tomorrow / Thursday! ?
  18. Just you Jon ??? He had a good game, I wouldn’t go as far as brilliant though. ???
  19. I tweeted Dan White after 15 minutes to tell him, he replied at h-t!!! I’m guessing someone told him Semenyo was Antoine’s brother midway through the half too! I get a bit arsey about things like that. I can understand him not knowing much / anything about Cardiff’s u23s, but he should know James Taylor isn’t Duncan Idehen, he’s commentated enough times to know James Taylor is white, whether he’s seen Idehen before or not. I think it’s just a bit of basic preparation before a game. As for a first team game I expect a little bit of knowledge of our opponents also. Surely he must know that team sheets are quite often listed in squad number order, and / or of little relevance to formation, yet he will just blanket assume the first is the GK, the next 4 are defenders etc. Sorry, just a mini-rant.
  20. Oh, I don't know why she's leaving Or where she's gonna go I guess she's got her reasons But I just don't want to know 'Cause for 24 games I've been playing next to Kalas Kalas, Tomas effing Kalas
  21. I thought Cardiff were v.good, good patterns…if anything I thought they shaded it despite being 3-0 down.
  22. They should look at model-pro Josh Brownhill. Keep your head down, keep improving on the pitch, keep the club honest off the pitch by having a good agent. Get your contract renegotiated regularly and when the time comes, go to a club that are gonna play you.
