  1. Did Joe provide the data though? ??? How tall is his dad then!!!
  2. I’m kinda with you on that.
  3. Shows what he can do. However in the full Robins Uncut 19 video, watch the little sequence at 7:49. Up against Joe Williams, Joe just gets his arm across, leans into Callum and dispossessed him. If Callum gets his left arm across Joe, Williams can’t shove him off the ball. It would make a huge difference to Callum’s ability to dribble past opponents.
  4. I only watched about 10 minutes of each half. It felt pretty similar to many England performances. We are decent but not top-class team. We will always be there or thereabouts. We qualify relatively easily for each tournament, which has not been the case in the past (tournament expansion has helped!). Southgate has done a decent job. I’ve never thought we looked like winning a tournament in recent times, so his record is good.
  5. I think in general we miss having a true world class player….a player that “does it” when needed, a Ronaldo, Modric, etc. We have good international players, but not truly world-class.
  6. Under Mel’s old model, Lawrence would probably still be worth £5m in the books, maybe slightly less now in final year. But under new amortisation method, will be less than £1m. Whether that will influence any fee the Administrators might accept I don’t know?
  7. The keep them guessing bit.
  8. I think there’s a bit of truth in that.
  9. Others not seen, which doesn’t necessarily mean they are injured: Dasilva Baker Atkinson Cundy Semenyo Pring not in early clips, but in last section. Wells seen in dressing room, but can’t recall him on the grass.
  10. Think I was gonna write earlier - cake and eat it. Your post articulates it nicely.
  11. ….and importantly these companies don’t pay us individuals for our data do they? Precedent set imho.
  12. …..and delaying tactics look to be exactly the opposite of what is required at this point.
  13. Yes, read about this a while back. I guess much depends on how the data companies (betting in particular) get their data. Clubs run their own GPS type data either through the tracking device in their vest, or in City’s case they are using cameras / software to track (I believe). I’m guessing they aren’t flogging to the betting companies??? @Hamdon Mart you got a view on this? Do the likes of Opta, collect data then sell it to the betting companies. What sort of data do you collect yourself, are there a small army of you at each match?
  14. In a nutshell….great post.
  15. I’ll assist, you put it in the net.
  16. Best retort I heard from a ref was “don’t talk like a c#£& and play like one too” ?
  17. I cobbled this thread together on Towler, video included in second tweet.
  18. I guess the point I’m making is if your “risk based approach” is to always look at the best case scenario, then you’re gonna make mistakes. If Covid / Brexit has taught the average person something it’s about planning and the use of terms like “most likely worst case scenario” etc. It appears that there was little thought about mitigating against the wearing of rose-tinted specs. And then you (Derby / Mel / Administration team, not you literally) moan about it.
  19. I think that is just poor terminology/ ambiguity from Percy. He’s not secured like a charge over a loan, but he is a football creditor….and will be ahead on non-football creditors….imho.
  20. I would hope that regular snapshots and projections were done, on various scenarios: best case, season started but full crowds by Sept/Oct worst case, no crowds in 20/21 sone scenarios in between But, even if this scenario planning did take place, Mel just went with the most risky / reckless option. Other clubs didn’t, they scaled back. So did Derby to some extent, but you still sacked Cocu at a huge cost. You still spent more than us on signings.
