Pack was a decent player for us, but James has those PL qualities that stand out.

Tbh, I watched him a few times (live on Sky, bits and pieces) and he’s played better for City than he did in any of those games for Pompey. He’s showing the kind of range of his game and promise that he did at Walsall and Newport, where he played at LWB a fair bit….albeit at Lg2. Some very interesting perception from Nige about him not feeling part of the first team, so good man-management too. Early days, opponents will start to look for little weaknesses, like they did with Massengo and Bakinson….so Pring will need to keep working hard.

Too hard to pick out individuals, but what an impact Pring has had on his start to his City first team career.

That’s the way they play, and they generally get results. It’s not easy on the eye, but effective. I thought they were decent enough….just we were better and the more aesthetically pleasing stuff.

That's a pretty decent first half against a team like Cardiff who ask you a lot of questions. Had a good spell in the middle and Martin and Weimann causing them lots of problems with one dropping / one spinning. None of their 3 CBs want to go with the "dropper", dos we get a bit of space. Got to say the ball rarely runs for us, a couple of real 'nearly' moments. Lot of hard work needed second half, can't let Cardiff have a spell. Pring bloody excellent so far.
