  1. That's a pretty decent first half against a team like Cardiff who ask you a lot of questions. Had a good spell in the middle and Martin and Weimann causing them lots of problems with one dropping / one spinning. None of their 3 CBs want to go with the "dropper", dos we get a bit of space. Got to say the ball rarely runs for us, a couple of real 'nearly' moments. Lot of hard work needed second half, can't let Cardiff have a spell. Pring bloody excellent so far.
  2. Han doing a job in unnatural position, tucking in when needed.
  3. I'm excited to see whether Nige's system / set-up has flexibility within personnel and instruction to adapt to different opponents without resorting to wholesale change in systems.
  4. Yes, Nige said Baker LB. Gregor just said Massengo on RM/RW.
  5. I get what you're saying. Vyner has 30-40 Champ appearances at RB. Baker has played PL at LB (some years ago). If you set your heart on exciting flowing football, then I suppose most weeks you'll be disappointed. Its a tough league.
  6. Why....he hasn't deviated from it from the start of pre-season?
  7. Pretty sure it’ll be 4411, with Baker at LB: Weimann James King Pring Massengo Martin or Massengo James King Pring Weimann Martin or Weimann James Massengo Pring King Martin or fluid between all three. Cardiff: 343 Sang and Bagan at WB, but Giles and Bacuna wide forwards. If you line up ours v theirs both line-ups go man-for-man except both have a CB spare.
  8. So if everyone is predicting a Cardiff win (with a Flint or Pack goal), should we lose, everyone will be chilled, because it’s what you expected….right? ???
  9. As soon as some club makes a bid and he agrees to forego any wages obligation we have. I’d say Nige has made up his mind and it’s only the financial climate meaning he’s still our player.
  10. For the first time we can’t say “why would a player choose them, it’s a sh1thole”….Edinburgh is lovely. Agree with pretty much all of that. Not so sure that Cundy would necessarily be on our radar this summer had he not been ours, think you’d be taking Gillingham’s style into account too. Might’ve been one to watch this season. But as you say 24 is no age for the type of CB he is, whereas Moore is very different. Moore has lost sharpness by becoming “bigger”. I suspect he’s quick over a longer distance, but it’s that short, sharp stuff he’s degraded on. I don’t see Moore coming back and playing a part, from what Nige has said about loaning our players out, this is a “I don’t need him” loan. Cundy is much more a Nige type CB….but he needs to show Nige what he can do once back in full training.
