  1. Not sure Swansea counts as a decent performance as only got going in the last 30 mins.
  2. Thought the same yesterday as just wasn’t at it. That said, went to Cov where I thought he was outstanding & back to his old self.
  3. I know the gas head who tweeted this & he’s actually a decent bloke until you talk to him about City or Rovers. Loved the comment about Rovers being the Prince Harry of Bristol football as he loses all sense of reason & the bitterness & jealousy oozes out.
  4. Not disputing that but imo it’s not right for us.
  5. We all moaned when King was played out of position, so we do the same with Naismith. He is a decent footballer as you say and technically very good. We haven’t got time to experiment and personal view is that game is too quick and congested for him to play there. All about opinions though and worrying thing is we have very little options as squad threadbare.
  6. He was a lump wasnt he and loved it when he fell over!
  7. I wouldn’t change shape for Brum as not wishing to sound like Ian Gay, we need to be physically as strong as we can be, as we will have to be fully on alert for Deeney, Long, Austin, Roberts, Sanderson as everything will be long. I think we can change shape for certain games but not this one.
  8. The problem was not the personnel but was the formation in that Swans had extra man in midfield. It was crying out for a change & thankfully Pearson made it but why move Naismith into the midfield when Williams was on the bench.
  9. How many times do we play Swansea & have problems in the corner of Atyeo/Dolman. Swans today took the piss in removing netting to get closer to City fans. Feel for stewards who aren’t paid enough to deal with that but yet again we fail to learn.
  10. The one on Atkinson, Pawson 100% moved whistle to mouth before pulling it away. Not seen Semenyo one back but thought at time it was a pen.
  11. James was the least of our worries as was one of the players that significantly improved as game went on. I do question his mobility but we are a better side with him in it with what we have available.
  12. Was a great game and when they went practically to the team we played, Wrexham struggled. Thought KP was very good as he was last week & seems to have finally found a home.
  13. Personally hoping to see the lesser spotted Kalas as imo our best defender. The financial rewards alone are enough for us to go strong & build some confidence that we can start winning at home.
  14. I like Jay but with Pring’s recent performances it does beg the question how did he keep his place for so long. Jay is a decent championship player and we need competition, so more than happy for him to stay on reduced terms. Believe there’s more to come from Jay & would imagine he wouldn’t be short of suitors but needs more assists and goals as technically very good. It’s a keep from me.
  15. Great report & thanks for taking the time to write these @OléWas a good away day & on better chances created we should have won. Football is all about opinions but didn’t see Naismith as a 5 & made a superb tackle first half when 1.1 as last man. Only player I thought was well off it was Weimann who was sloppy in possession & inexplicably failed to force ball home for a winner. A good away & only negative were numpties (albeit not many) “singing you’re getting sacked in the morning”after going 1-0 down as that’s plain ridiculous.
  16. We need to start Antoine & let him play his way back into form. End of last season he was unplayable but had a stop/start season so not anywhere near those highs. Pace and power is a defenders nightmare so we need to stick with him imo.
  17. Agent trying to protect his client and gravy train.
  18. Too ugly to post a picture of myself but here’s my friend @Davefevs
  19. Apologies I posted the same team & could have saved myself a lot of time !
  20. O’Leary Vyner Naismith Atkinson Tanner Scott James Pring Weimann Wells Semenyo it’s going to be physical and set plays are going to be key. We need our strongest players out there imo but don’t think for one minute he will go with this team. We need Semenyo to play his way back into form for our benefit or to re-hike his price.
  21. We all know that he inherited a massive financial challenge but I genuinely feel that we have a squad that should be doing better than we are currently. However, what I’m struggling with is the following: Playing players out of position How many players has Pearson fallen out with over his tenure….. my impression is that he is too stubborn and cuts off his nose to spite his face Poor signings inability to address defensive problems Too rigid in formations -3-5-2 isn’t working but we persist and don’t adapt to try anything different Poor use of substitutions - yesterday was final straw i do accept that the wage bill has come down and that the culture of the club has shifted to probably a more professional environment. At the end of the day everyone who posts on here wants City to succeed & therefore Pearson to be a success. Football is a results business and whilst he hasn’t done a bad job off the field and left us in a better position both financially & culturally, we are going backwards. Time for a change
  22. Why oh why does it take a mistake to prove to absolutely everyone that he’s not a CB. He’s played no more than a dozen games there in his career & most of those here. In fairness he has done ok in some games but was an accident waiting to happen. I despair at Pearson at times as must see things we don’t or just bloody stubborn
  23. Football is very much a confidence game and if you lose that then it can take a time to recover. Not sure how keen he was to go to Carlisle in the first place due to distance but was keen to go out on loan and the move hasn't worked out. Interesting to see how he responds to this setback but needs to be playing games again.
  24. He’s done very well Birmingham aside & wasn’t optimistic when I saw back 3 but credit where it’s due as been good. Experience gives him a yard & demonstrated he can step in but horses for courses in the future. Assume Klose so far out of picture he could be on a plane come January back to Switzerland
