  1. I still cannot see any point in Andy King coming on for Vyner to sit alongside klose. Can anyone explain adjust don’t get some of Pearson substitutions?
  2. I was at both & as you say chalk and cheese. The subs as you say we’re odd & as a defender I’d rather mark Martin & Conway than Wells and Semenyo. Take one off maybe but what service did they have. Personally, thought Vyner was ok whilst Klose, Sykes, Jay were shocking. Also add in that thought that was Scott’s worst game for us so bad day all round. Game of opinions but only person for me in credit was Williams. Talk about highs and lows
  3. Spot on & Pring did more in 20 mins than Jay did. Wing backs are 100% our problem as essential that their delivery is spot on but both JD and Sykes rarely deliver. If they were on bonuses for hitting the first man they’d be millionaires!
  4. At West Brom we scored & had something to fight for. We were flying into challenges there but scored twice from our only shots on target. We were more careful in possession. Today we were slow moving the ball, careless with the ball and seemed very lethargic. We were also lightweight and lost most of the 50/50s. A completely different performance from Tuesday with only Williams at it from start
  5. The fact so many players have been nominated for MOM says it all in that it was a superb team performance. Shout out to the support who to a person were behind the team as when you see the effort like that, how could you not respond. Apart from traffic was a top day out. @Olégood to meet you and SCP will come again.
  6. Decent episode & well done to all involved. Neil provides good balance and a bit of a first for me, in that I agreed with lots of the comments today including Ian. However, a little humility from Ian would go a long way as he states the most obvious things such as I tweeted their dangermen and threats (it’s Millwall we know) & a team for West Brom which if that started then I might as well not travel. Thanks for taking the time to produce as know you all take some stick.
  7. I thought real time it was a great save but in reality as you say the ball was pushed back centrally to Bradshaw. My view for 2nd is that if Max shouted then only if a Millwall player wins the first contact is it his fault. All defenders should leave it once the shout made.

    Weimann

Pearson has often said that players have to perform to keep the shirt and that the rules apply to everyone only this week, with the dropping of Bentley. As a manager, you need to demonstrate a consistent approach and therefore how is Weimann still starting. He was superb last season and started like a house on fire but gone 11 without a goal now. As others have said, he had a two week break since last season, so it’s reasonable to assume he’s burned out. Take him out the firing line for a couple of games as been awful for a while. My real issue is that Pearson isn’t being consistent in his actions and as a manager that needs to be a given.

    Cam Pring

Well Pearson without naming him just said it was bizarre choice of throw. After PNE away last year, I don’t think Pearson is having him.
  10. It’s probably a case of being our 3rd choice keeper and a game today was too risky so close to PNE. I think Bajic looked excellent when I’ve seen him and does come and punch rather than catch but to me Bentley was culpable for all 3 goals as just stays planted to goal line. That said, I wouldn’t leave Bentley out just yet.
  11. It’s clear that this podcast divides opinion but if it’s not your bag then just ignore it…..everyone is entitled to opinions and everyone has a choice.
  12. Never been a great fan of zonal marking especially if there are no blockers as all the advantage is with the attacker as you say. The first & third were in Bentleys area and why he didn’t towards the ball after it hit the post I don’t know. Every time our opponents have a corner or set play your hearts in your mouth whilst I never get excited when we are. Our crossing is terrible with the exception of the occasional good delivery from Naismith.
  13. I did tweet yesterday that for all the plaudits he gets for our attacking players (all of whom were at club) he deserves stick for our defensive inadequacies. Even more so when you think of the players he has signed in Atkinson, Klose, Naismith, Tanner, Wilson, Sykes, Baker (very unlucky), Simpson. Some have been good & some not so but what limited budget he has had, the bulk has gone to defenders & we still ship goals. It was suicide to play King yesterday at CB & if Klose was fit enough for bench then start him. Imagine the carnage if Deeney has started so we got away with 3.
  14. Was a shambles today and what a waste of a day for over 2200 of us. Your last sentence is both worrying and incredibly accurate. Can’t see where the next win comes from. Only part I disagree with is an 18 year old Kadji was better than a 4 as least he showed some heart.
  15. Agree with names mentioned and throw in Vyner & Weimann.Felt for Wells & Conway as no service as you say although Wells overplayed to concede corner for first goal.
  16. That sums up exactly how I felt & was embarrassed at our lack of fight.
  17. Left before the end as was just plain embarrassing. Only players with any credit were Scott, Martin & Semenyo but the rest should be ashamed. Were never up for the fight & just rolled over. Depressing hearing your own fans sing we’re ******* shit but we were. If Klose was fit enough for bench then start him. Andy king was never going to work twice & not his faults. Weird thing for me is that there are some on here who bury there heads as far as Pearson goes & he deservedly got plaudits for getting it right before break but he has not addressed defence in 2 years yet most signings have been defenders. Rightly deserves criticism for that & today & honestly after watching that today fear where our next win is coming from.
  18. Playing devils advocate just maybe some of the players out on loan are at that level & their abilities have been over hyped? The Buse one I agree was a strange one as they had an established number 1.
  19. Got to be honest, I moaned when I saw King named in the team as thought he’d struggle to get about the pitch. What he lacks in pace is compensated for with his brain and experience as bar one mistake when ball went under his foot, I thought he was superb. Wouldn’t want him to play CB really but would have no qualms about starting him with Scott on Saturday. Bamba still training at club & wonder if we will expedite a short term contract to act as cover as clearly NP doesn’t fancy any of the fringe players.
  20. They recalled Omar Taylor Clark back from there as wasn’t doing his football education any good. Are they a route 1 team these days?
  21. Or was it Sykes ? Either way one long ball went to someone between the two and that shouldn’t happen.
  22. Just tweeted exactly the same thing regarding subs as pushed our threats wide & lost any cohesion. Also felt he took our best defender off but that was a low bar today. Like you say we’d not long scored so to change it up at that time wasn’t essential. On balance of play the best team won but subs didn’t help us for sure.
  23. Naismith can certainly play but has to learn a role that he is still new to as too many risks. His decision making has been horrendous but offset by goal contributions & ironically a great defensive display v Cardiff & Luton. You can get away with it when getting results as gets masked but today he was horrendous as made constant mistakes when doing even the basics. Problem in that no squad depth gives us any options to change at the back. Sykes and Weimann were really poor today and Williams struggled. One of those days as could keep going through the team.
  24. Looks decent …. Very confident with ball at feet & talked all game. Came & punched & made 1 decent save when he was out very quick to cut down angle. Didn’t have a lot to do & no chance with their goal
  25. Was tidy on the ball but unfortunately got injured but can definitely play. To be fair it was a good game and Swansea whilst having more of the ball didn’t really create too many chances. Sam Bell took his chances brilliantly and looked very lively. I was keen to watch Joe Low for the first time & came away with mixed feelings. He is certainly commanding & reads the game well as demonstrated by his clearance of the line. In my opinion, he was lucky not to get sent off as booked for pretty much grappling their CF and then made an off the ball kick that brought one of their players down. It seemed he didn’t quite trust his pace but he’s certainly no slouch & just seemed to want to get involved. In fairness he managed the second half very well and looks a player. Thought Kadji was our best player and is developing incredibly well from last season as seems fitter & quicker. Shout out to Taylor-Clark who was also very good and can dig in and technically very good.
