Totally agree that a testimonial is in order. Not only was he a superb player for us as the OP said he’s a great ambassador for our club & indeed for Bristol. I’m sure that we can all recount stories of Scott’s kindness & a testimonial would be a great opportunity for us to recognise his contribution to our club & Bristol as raised thousands for charity. About time someone did something nice for Scott so let’s make this happen.

Really decent player for us and got me in trouble at Twerton one year as hit a screamer to put us 1-0 up to which I celebrated on instinct whilst stood in the Rovers end. Not quite sure how I managed to come out of that one. Great passer of the ball and very good in the air and with Shelton alongside him we were strong in midfield.

Was up there as one of the best away days I’ve been to. Quite a few left early & got to say I was so close to joining them. The locals that that day were proper lairy both before and especially after.

Newcastle were the team who certainly played it around more and were more a possession based team. Our game plan is to press and as you say nick balls and that’s what we did. That’s not to say that we didn’t play some good stuff but As I understand it the formation is played all through academy ages. I think if your good enough you’ll adapt to a 3-5-2 or a 4-3-3 and sure they play different formations in training and even if games if it needs changing.

Yes…. Coming up past Long Ashton so HPC on left. There’s no way I’d get a shuttle bus but as I said parking on street left at first lights you hit with a leisurely 10 min walk.

You have to get a ticket that is free and available under home games icon on website. For parking just go past the HPC and left at lights (Weston Rd) & street parking. It’s a 10 min walk max.

Was an excellent performance and a very entertaining game. Bell was superb & is such a cool & natural finisher. His pace with Pearson was too much for them to handle. We’ve only seen him in flashes in first team but he has the main attribute of pace and can finish, so only a matter of time before he becomes a regular. Good to see Joe Low bounce back and had a winning battle with Duncan Ferguson son who is the spit of him. Very commanding and vocal. Shout out to Omar Taylor Clarke who is getting better every game and Zak Bell who Ive yet to see have a bad game.

Thought he was anonymous & too slow moving the ball & himself on Tuesday in the first half. Was ok 2nd half back at CB but we had all the momentum going forward so not tested too much. Would have played Atkinson myself today but no complaints with King as was very good.

We are a far better team with James than without him !

Put me down for an apology as felt pre game that his horrendous performance Tuesday had been wrongly rewarded with a place in the team through the old pals act. King was very good and his reading of the game was excellent & won his duels with Davis who I thought would be too much for him. Certainly not a long term solution but 100% he’s better back there than CM. So happy that I had no cause to doubt him today.

It’s AFC Brislington who play on opposite site of ironmould lane to Toolstation team. Real shame as got a great set up there but clubs not connected.

His form has been dreadful but we’ve all seen his ability which he will get back. As they say form is temporary but we need him to return to his bullying best soon.

Honestly thought I would be last person to advocate Weimann as a RWB but cannot see another option. Fed up of Sykes as offers nothing and same could be said of Jay but with injuries no viable alternative unfortunately he starts.

We can live in hope as our best defender by a mile.

You can add Sykes into the category of bottling tackles. He gets there then slows up so he avoids the tackle . He didn’t start like this and indeed sent off for challenge on Freeman but you can see his confidence ebbing away each week.

Lots of clubs use it as an incentive to get deal done…… he’d be playing in the championship getting games. Why would any team loan players it’s to continue their development. Agree on senior players in the main setting the wrong example

If we can get a sale for Scott & a loan back then take it as we need strengthening elsewhere. Agree with comments if getting high earners off books bit easier said than done

Good post & Pearson has had the added bonus of recruiting his coaching team in Euell & Fleming so has his men on the ground. We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes & the frustrating part is that as well as we played against Sheff U & West bro then in same block of games we witness Brum, Reading & last night. We know these players can play & I left reasonably cheered last Tuesday and totally depressed last night. I think in a nutshell, our strongest starting 11 are decent but we have no depth to us. The passing as you say was atrocious and a simple 10 yard pass either went out of play or under/over hit. I believe this to be the basics that you would expect at an amateur level let alone a professional club. Depressing situation but agree that Pearson has had long enough to make a difference.

We had a great chance to build some momentum and finances with a win so to make 8 changes borders on complete disrespect to Lincoln.

If I was a Ghana scout watching him in last month there’s no way he’s going. Surely had the nod he is though. Two 1:1s missed and touch like a trampoline
