  1. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any worse along comes tonight. We are in a rut and badly needed a lift with a win, so Nige makes 8 changes! Players as you say @GrahamCstock has risen are those who didn’t play. Comes to something that we need a 19 & 20 year old to drive us forward. If I was Martin, Klose, Sykes, JD, King, Atkinson, Semenyo watching their effort and desire to get on the ball I would be ashamed tonight as most earning a significant amount more than them but no heart & hiding when we needed them. Never a good time straight after a game to comment but I’m fuming with what I’ve seen tonight & tried to stay patient as lots of posters I respect are so pro Pearson but time for a change as going backwards. Football is a results business and and 29% win ratio is appalling. I appreciate that he’s had a tough hand but are we really as bad as what I’ve witnessed in person as tonight , Reading and Birmingham all within a 4 week period. We won’t make change as can’t afford it but Neil Critchley would be my choice before anyone asks for an option.
  2. Pearson has done that twice this season in fairness
  3. The academy is the most successful part of our club and if that wasn’t performing then I dread to think where we would be as a club. Tinnion & team should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved & with more to come the future is positive. Not only are the youngsters the ones to drive the team forwards but have become our biggest assets.
  4. Wouldn’t crow too much as be interesting to see what we get on Tuesday
  5. Wasn’t Clint Hill & wife at said dinner party when the assault took place? Story I was told was that both mr & Mrs Hill were appalled with what they witnessed and Mrs Hill was adamant that he wouldn’t work with Joe Barton. No idea if correct but that’s what I was told.
  6. I never really swear apart from the occasional f word at football when emotions get the better of me. I believe it’s ok in the heat of a game and with your mates and even if it’s in front of kids and ladies at football. However, some people use swearing in every sentence so it’s as others have said showing some common decency and respect to others around if for arguments sake your swearing constantly for 90 mins. Some of our songs include swearing with one including the C word about whose not singing over there!! People expect to hear it but imo it crosses a line if there are children are about if used constantly.
  7. I have this with friends that if you criticise or question Nige then then instantly become very defensive. Its like they are members of some Nigel Pearson cult as they won’t accept that he ever gets it wrong. it’s a fine line as a couple of positive results then it would even be a discussion. I’m still prepared to give him time and was very impressed by him at the forum & recent sky interview. However, he isn’t perfect and we still leak goals and has signed numerous defenders to make us difficult to beat. I acknowledge that going forward we have been good but we cannot keep relying on us scoring 2 or 3 goals to wing games as we are finding. His subs are also very questionable. Keep offering opinions as that what forums are for & at the end of the day it’s a results business and we are sliding towards the bottom. A win ratio of 30% deserves to be questioned & rightly so as despite the financial backdrop it’s not good enough.
  8. The author is a great young lad who is passionate about City. Fantastic to have written a book at his age but it’s a really good read so fair play to him. Well worth the money so give it a go
  9. Whilst we have been dreadful against Brum, Reading & Possibly Millwall, how disheartening is this table as we should have taken more than 8 points from our last 10. I hadn’t realised how poor our points return has been & with Boro & Watford to come we have to buck the trend of playing well and taking no points. Do I have my red tinted glasses on as believe we are decent in the main this season or are we in trouble? We need our best players fit but guess all teams say the same & players like Weimann & Semenyo to start firing again.
  10. Last 10 games I believe we have picked up 8 points and over those games are bottom of the form table. We need to turn good performances into wins or come out with a point as a minimum. That’s worrying from a points return and we need to stop the slide as good performances mean nowt if results don’t come.
  11. Thought he was poor at Reading and not great v Millwall. The problem he has is that his displays have set the bar so high for himself & raised all our expectations. A decent performance from him gets considered sub standard but in reality he did ok. His performances previously were 8 or 9s out of 10 but he has had a few 6s recently. My biggest frustration is his delivery from set places which by and large have been disappointing when we know the quality he possesses . He’s the one midfielder who can go past an opponent & one of first names on team sheet but I wonder if the summer tournament and lack of a break is impacting him. November a good time to recharge for him.
  12. Never heard of band or song but bloody love that song & be good to hear at every game
  13. Not just me who feels like this then!
  14. The 3 at the back were superb today but we won’t be able to compete with physical players with that 3. Perfect as you say but horses for courses with some teams as we need aerial ability to supplement physicality. As you say, today was perfect for the 3 but boy did they play well.
  15. Trouble before the game on Ashton Rd where there must of been about 60 Swansea youth walking through the park with about 6 police with them. It provoked a reaction from those on the natch wall and bottles were thrown. Why do we as a club not learn as the corner of Atyeo/Dolman has history and yet we allow lots of those brave Welsh boys to walk forward past stewards and offer out all those in the Dolman. Not one was thrown out and there were loads standing on the netting. Why are we not more switched on as a club. When we go away in numbers we get wrapped up pretty quick but Swans seem to have the freedom of our City. As for the **** who ran on the pitch & goad the Dolman after their goal (did he punch the steward?) I hope you enjoy your spell in HMP. To let everyone out at the same time beggars belief. Just wish we held on as Swansea rivalling Cardiff in the dislike stakes.
  16. The only things I would say about subs was Wells the CF who was ill and Semenyo was out on his feet and wasn’t at it today. Seen Bell a few times and he can finish but I was screaming at him when he wasn’t closing down or chasing their players. I think he will come good but did himself no favours today.
  17. Pring is full of power and pace which is the type of player Pearson likes. Thought Jay was ok today but when playing 3 games a week surely we should have seen more of Pring even if it was as a substitute. Clever foul at the end which needed to happen. Well done Cam.
  18. In fairness that’s a great summary
  19. In fairness, the Gas were decent I thought . They carried a threat & looks like another decent loan signing up too for them whilst Collins was a threat. Very physical and pressed well. I thought they would get beat tonight but deserved a result.
  20. Not to mention my mate Steve Badock who remains the easiest gas head to wind up. My local club is AEK and great set up with some good people involved.
  21. Badger is one of the good guys and someone you’d want to play for. Was there for over 6 seasons and played with some great people who are still involved now I believe such as Phil Brake. Played under Derek Robbins, Jamie Patch, Steve D’Arcy and Chris Elston and loved it there. Believe that they are known to throw money about recently & mostly funded by the manager from what I hear. No way are Ash Kington and Joe McLeman paying for the love of the club as both were at Bitton. Could be wrong but it’s a great club.
  22. I’ve watched Mousehole recently & they were very good Turned up in the Cornish Pirates luxury coach. The money comes I believe from camping/caravan park that over looks the ground. God knows what their budget is as told they had 2 lads from Leeds playing for them. Good side though
  23. Something has gone badly wrong at Bitton as they didn’t even make it to Torpoint recently as minibus driver kicked them out at gordano for being too rowdy. The Toolstation has always had a two tier system of those that over pay & those that don’t. Players jump from club to club for money but who can blame them
  24. I know one lad there who was on £200 & he wasnt their highest earner. There’s some serious money being thrown around in the tool station at the moment. Yes there are teams in Cornwall such as Mousehole and who I’ve seen this season & who were decent. Keynsham refused to travel there on a Tuesday night & cited Manchester was closer!! It’s reverting back to regional next season
  25. Big blow to us as come in and just got on with the job in hand. Behaved exactly as you would expect a figurehead to conduct himself without the need for constant profile & adulation.
