It appears there was terrible flooding in the Horfield area last night.

Wessex Water say the local drainage system was overwhelmed by an avalanche of tears (and apparently out-of-date Fanta) sometime after 9.30pm.

    Such a shame.

    "Don't cry for me Irene-tina"

Sorry Joe,I live in Horfield and there was no avalanche……………….it was a tsunami 😂

Norwich are 2 points off the play offs in the Championship, the prize of winning tonight’s game is a trip to a ground they already visit every few years where they normally get beat.

I think anyone expecting Norwich to bust a gut tonight in an effort to clog up their own fixture list after they’ve got themselves back into Championship PO contention is going to be very disappointed.

This has got ‘upset’ written all over it, if Rovers don’t go through I’ll eat my own nuts.

Well according to some sags,if Norwich win then that’s the giant killing.

I'll give you that, we have a chance obviously, but no more than that, its more than possible that it could be over by half time. Fair play to you ******* last night, totally deserved. Even wth a tenner on you at 3/1, I still couldn't bring myself to raise a smile though.

Well you can’t blow you winnings on a lovely Chicken Jerk,Pasty is is then.

Not sure really, but I know during wartime the Bristol area had a sizeable Polish contingent based around here, a number of whom stayed post-War.  Hence the excellent Polish Club in Clifton.

Used to be a fair few living up Gloucester rd,St Andrew’s and Bishopston mainly.

A City lad made several trips to their ticket office, he gave out the tickets in The Bell on the day of the game,  then everyone went up to Eastville in small groups

We definitely had forgeries, met up in the Sevenways pub(?) in St Jude’s.

Most pleasing on the eye was world cups. Loved them. Bought one pair , played about 5 games in them 50-50 tackle they split toe to heal . Adidas wouldn’t replace them . 😫

Puma Kings for wide feet,World cups narrower feet, that’s what I found anyway. When I wore Kings,I wore two pairs of socks.

  7. Puma Kings or Adidas World Cups, the two best pairs of boots ever,in my humble opinion.Paid £80 for a pair Kings in about 1983/84 kangaroo leather, like wearing slippers, anyway it must of been around April at the end of the season, pitch was bone hard,so I decided to wear my Sambas, my brother asked if he could wear my Kings, what harm could it do?,well he kicked the toe out of the right boot, the rest of the team thought it was hilarious.I’ve never really forgiven him.

was some good followings in them days for the London games , usually made up of how shall I say ( Lads )

easy & cheap trains to London back then

Can remember paying £3.50 return to many a London game, late seventies early eighties, could only travel after 09.30 though. Some really good away days back then.

Yeah, 33 years now as a fan - it's been non-stop success in that time hasn't it. I grew up outside of Bristol, surrounded by PL fans and no City fans at school/uni/work but I still supported my team. As I've become older I've lost patience with the years of crap decisions by this board and that patience has snapped in the past few weeks.

But fairweather? Do me a favour.

    Gas head! 😂

    Three more welcome points.

Don't care how we get them, as long as we get them.

Makes me even happier to hear the opposition's fans say we didn't deserve them.

Chatting to two Makems on way back to car after the game, they said we played well,I said no ,you played well, but we won, and that is the Championship,a truly mental division.

This new stand. I may have missed it but have they got planning permission for it yet? I know they started the build without it but has it now gone through? Or do they still not have permission to actually let anyone in yet?

And, with that roof! Why did they make it so high? Looks ridiculous.

Harry, think about it,high roof, better view of the ball.
