I don't think anyone in their right mind would condone assault, I certainly don't, but we have courts and procedures to deal with those who break the law. Is it just footballers we think should lose their living as a result of a conviction, or is it everyone? Is it just assault on women that deserves the extra punishment, or should we extend it to assault on men as well, or on a certain age group? Is it just violent crime we want to apply extra sanctions to, or should we apply it to scammers as well who cause such heartbreak and ruin? Or drink drivers, or drug users?
The point is,your club signed a man,who whilst with his previous club, had been accused of assault, rather than waiting for the outcome of the court case you signed him anyway. The company I work for wouldn’t have touched him with a barge pole, with that hanging over him.

My parents (in their mid to late 60s and 70s) have reported that it took them less than a minute to add the tickets to their (inexpensive) smartphones. Nice and easy.
It took me less than 5 minutes to order 3 season cards, simples.

Had my email come through with my ticket yesterday, but also have 2 kids season tickets as well which haven't came through as of yet, problem is I can't remember for the life of me if when I set up their Supporter ID's years ago if they had to have their own email address or whether I had to use mine.
Did 3 on my email address yesterday,as long as your related I don’t think it matters.

“Not much in fanbase size”
We’re certainly not a huge club but they haven’t even averaged over 10k in a season for 45 years. Can’t even fill their tiny ground.
Wael arrived 7 years ago at which point they were all shouting that they were going to be Premier League in 5 years…
Hows that going?
******* state of them, should concentrate on catching up with Exeter and Cheltenham.
They’ll never be as big as Cheltenham or Exeter.

I’ll raise you anything that is blue and white and quartered, now that’s horrendous.

The Championship is always a tough division, with small percentage points between the teams,if you’re not on your game you will lose.

I don't remember that, and I don't think it was even remotely true.
Heysel was an abhorrent tragedy and no doubt Liverpool are rightly ashamed.
And we are hardly golden on the football violence front.
Saw a documentary on the Heysel tragedy once, there were fans of many teams there that day, including City fans, who went for a bit robbing and a punch up.

Think Council’s in the past had the power to CPO land ‘for the proper planning of the area’. Uncertain whether that power still exists. If the ‘Sporting Quarter and the Region’s premier entertainment facility was fully backed by the local Councils, with a bit of creative thinking, that power - or others available in the administrative toolbox - could prove to have some leverage in the matter.
I’ve always found where there’s a will, there is invariably a way. Seems to me that nobody can be arsed to put any effort in to resolving the issue or supporting the only real decent sporting and entertainment facility in the South West. Typical of the mentality of those in control. Compare and contrast the relative ease by which Exeter Chief’s Sandy Park gets supported….major pedestrian road bridge and link to nearby station, junction works, hotel, close P&R, trains, entertainment licences, stadium development …the list goes on.
Ever tried to park near the football ground in Exeter, the rugby ground was built on a more or less blank canvas,so not as straight forward as you say.

I might apply, I’m quite a handy person.
On a totally unrelated note, can anyone lend me some red gloss paint? Enough to paint a whole stadium.
No need for paint,I believe that they are supplying a set of crayons.

Years ago teams might of feared going to the small, tight grounds, however with the improvement of the pitches that fear has all but subsided.I personally think they’ll come straight back down.

Agreed, at some point most footballers will put down roots somewhere, if that is the case here then good luck to him and his family. Good choice of area!
No problem with him at Rovers if that happened, if he can prolong a career then go for it, many don't get that chance.
He wouldn’t see it as a career,just a job.

Now I haven’t read this thread, but it strikes me that if you play good exiting football, you get a decent atmosphere,if you constantly start games on the back foot and let away teams dictate the pace of game,we will and do struggle.Nearly every game I attend, the atmosphere around the ground before the game is good,in the pub before the game it’s also good, before the game it’s decent enough, then the game starts.Within about ten to fifteen minutes,it’s as flat as a pancake,we’re usually on the back foot, and no amount of singing and cheering is going to change that,we need to start on the front foot, something we haven’t been doing for a fair few seasons now.We are turning up expecting the worst, and quite often that’s what we get, imagine turning up and actually expecting to win……..
