    Hmmm.

It would appear that, despite my recommendation, you still haven't read that book by Lynne Truss.

I suggest you jog on and don't comment on my post s plenty of others you can stalk .

Another pointless Johnson signing. Buy him, give him a pre season then run after Palmer when Swansea showed interest. Felt sorry for him here.

Footage of LJ at the time.

He had to have his full quota of twenty subs getting splinters .

Johnny Quigley, Bobby Kellard and Gerry Gow; all great, tough midfielders from my youth and, sadly, all now departed.

Whilst I never had the privilege of meeting the late Gerry Gow, I had the dubious pleasure of meeting Johnny Quigley and, indeed, played in the same team as him for one season - he would have been in his mid/late 40s at the time, and I can confirm he was an extremely hard b*stard, both on and off the pitch.

Once (in drink) he threatened to punch me/knock me out when I had the temerity to suggest that, alongside Bobby Kellard and Gerry Gow, he was one of my favourite City midfielders - he dismissed Bobby Kellard as a fat Cockney b*stard and, whilst they were both Glaswegians, he dismissed Gerry Gow as not being as good or as hard as he thought he was and that he wouldn't have lasted two minutes against him were they ever to have played against each other.

Bobby Kellard, in contrast, I found quite warm and softly spoken, though he certainly had a very strong 'cockney' accent.

I had occasion to meet him on several occasions professionally when he became an antique dealer after retiring and he was always very welcoming and happy to chat about football and life in general.

When last I heard,he was living contentedly in Canvey Island.

    R.I.P.

Spoke to his son told him what a great player he was .

Kiefer Moore is an international striker who will cause problems for most defenders in this league with his movement, strength and jumping to judge Vyner against him is a bit unfair.

Vyner has come a long way even since last season and looks a decent player. Can play in a 3 or 2 central defence, can play at right back if needed. In the games I've watched he's been decent.

Whilst I agree we need to strengthen CB in January it's more to do with injuries rather than Zak Vyner.

Yeh not much better than keifer moore we were looking at him like others watkins Toney etc cant help feeling we missed out here and i agree vyner did ok for a young un against that quality opposition.

See our City women thrashed again 6-1, after a being a goal up. GD now -28 from just 11 games.

A bit off reading that the Man.Utd women's manager says the WSL needs Liverpool (currently bottom) to not be relegated as they want the 'big name' to help promote the WSL, essentially inferring let's get rid of Bristol City instead. City women's next game is against Liverpool, so a crucial one for them to win.

    Is lee manager.??

Or we might have got hit on the break by a team who specialise in counterattacking, physical, reactive football.

It's a fine balancing act for a manager. Overcommit too early and it can go one of 2 ways...besides extra strikers, is a simple solution when chasing a game. Simple, but not always correct.

I went we had them on toast he was gonna make the subs a bit earlier Taylor an mo ready on touchline till patterson scored but understand what you are saying

I’m not quite sure what some people expect from a mid-table Championship team that has just sold over £25m worth of players but I was happy enough with the performance.

City completely controlled the game away from home and if it wasn’t for a ridiculous 3 minute spell of sucidal defending, I think we’d have won.

Tempo could have been better first half and we certainly lack the threat and presence of Diedhiou but there were some good performances. Bolton defended well and in numbers making them hard to break down. 2 teams make a game btw, some people don’t seem to get that it’s not just City that dictate the flow of a match. Bolton must have committed about a foul every few minutes today.

Surprised at some of what I’m reading. Maybe my expectations are lower than others this year.

I agree with your comments just a shame Mo Eisa wasent given another fifteen to twenty minutes game time i think we would have won it
