Think NP was right to question quality. Quality players can still put in a performance even if not firing on all cylinders. Not NP’s fault. No resources, no quality. Fans also are quick to condemn players and equally quick to overpraise. I don’ think Semenyo is likely to improve much from this point in.. We have had too many players like him, lauded by fans, who have simply fizzled out. If he was that good there would have been offers in the summer. We are unlikely to receive offers in January. A blind alley I fear.

Yes, over hyped. He is not a solid Championship striker and certainly not a striker at a higher level. just think off the top of your head of really first rate strikers we have had in the past at this level. He is nowhere near Cole,, Goater, Curtis, Garland, let alone Atyeo. And many more.

Absolutely, it’s about culture and the culture of decades can’t be undone in 2 seasons or so.

We’d.luck and Atyeo for true quality, bordering on fooTball genius. I believe both would easily adapt to the modern game, altho Fatty might have to lose a stone or three! But also for their whole hearted commitment in every game. When I watched City with Atyeo playing I never lost hope. He could easily win any game on his own with football magic. When my grandfather watched City with Wedlock in it he always expected clean sheets. I would walk a million miles for one of John’s goals, or at least face the cost of reaching Ashton Gate from deepest Sussex.

Because most other managers at this level would have overseen relegation. Simples!
