Huddersfield got one back at Norwich, despite being down to 10 Can 10 man City make it 3? -
I think your first two paragraphs above are spot on. I will support Nige until the last moment. God help us if Nige does decide to go. As the saying goes, we are up a creek without a paddle. If Nige goes then forget about the paddle for we shall have lost the boat too.

If all else fails, blame the ref. Sorry, I blame the players/coaches - the apparent lack of fitness, mental as well as physical, and the lack of passion. True there are players who would not be solid first teamers for other sides in the division, and true too that some lack technical ability and correct decision making at this level - but fitness and passion should be givens, taking into account their enormous salaries. -

Next manager to arrive at Ashton Gate will repeat the old mantra, ‘I found the squad lacking full fitness’. -

Please see my earlier comment. In this connection, Wells, I understand, is injured. -

Good old Otib, having a meltdown over team selection without bothering to wait to hear the reasons why. We know there’s been illness and we know there were a few knocks on Wednesday . COYR. Three points please -
Thanks to all who contributed to this thread. Some replies deserved serious consideration, others seemed to have misunderstood the basis of the thread and others’ comments, some were optimistic, some pessimistic. To all thanks. Let’s hope for a better finish this season than last. COYR

Conway may just be the centre forward, home grown, we have been crying out for. That really would be a positive for the season, but will he be picked against Wigan? If so hopefully with Wells not Martin. Martin simply won’t physical.y be able to play every game, imo -

Can Conway kick on now and secure a firm position in the team and score more? Here’s hoping so, will make taking a profit from a Semeneyo sale far easier to accept -

It would be great to see the three forwards score with abandon, but even greater to see defence keep a clean sheet. COYR -
Final paragraph above is exactly why some of us call the situation a mess. If BS was ever going to be a success it needed the football club firmly established at top end of Premier League.

Nothing like. SL has publicly announced he would sell Bad management in my opinion as it must undermine coaches and players. NP would probably first to receive P45

What a mess we are in. An owner saying he wants out having failed in his declared objective for over a quarter of a century Many fans wanting manager out Too small a squad at this level Best players may yet leave, even worst players leaving could leave unfillable gaps in squad Possible points deduction still on the horizon. Supporting City has, over my 8 decades as a fan, never been easy but the present cup of woe does seem very worrying indeed.

Answer to original question Sadly for us the game is played over 90 minutes. Absolutely no good playing well for only 60 mins. Are the players unfit? Do the players lose focus and concentration? Do the players take foot off pedal once in the lead, and then give up altogether when they squander that lead. In short it is either a fitness issue or a mental issue. If the latter what are the club doing about it? If the former why has it not been spotted by one of the gizmos used in the modern game, or even one of the fitness coaches ? who will challenge the staff over this when the owner has thrown the towel in and the Chairman - well enough said ?

Seems only yesterday saw City play Brighton on their temporary home on a parks pitch. why oh why can Brighton secure their place in top division and we continue to struggle Are we doomed to always be the largest city never to have enjoyed the glamour of the PremierLeague, let alone establish ourselves there. Look at Brighton, City fans, and weep.

At Worthing today to see their first ever match in Conference South. Sound system, as ever, perfect. Coffee best I have had at a football ground. Manager grandson of City favourite from 1950s, Wally Hinshelwood. Why given all the money spent there are still such lacunae at AshTon Gate?
