Unless it's a pressing counterattacking shape it'll be a road to failure. I doubt 4-4-2 is so prevalent at this level now.
It worked for Mike Basset …..

Well I foresee us getting overrun in midfield with the 4-4-2, passed around, outrun etc. Conway behind Wells could solve an issue or 2 though, time will tell.
Thanks for your insight . Set your stall out and not worry about the opposition!!

4-4-2?
Conway behind Wells- how would you go about it?
Any of those two formations .

Does that then leave us light in midfield and enable the opposition to outpass and outrun us?
2 v 3 in the modern game at this level let alone above, is a problem, how do we set up if we have Wells and Conway say.
Plenty of options I’d say

We lack a bit of depth / quality. I’d always have Tommy upfront but with a partner , he seems to play best when Wells is with him . He has missed a few but importantly we’re creating chances and he’s getting on the end of them .
Don’t think that he can lead the line on his own . -
Started the season well . Hope he continues, a live wire , great movement

If they had to take the Dolman fans into consideration first they'd better start the lap of honour on the 83rd minute!
Takes an age to get off tbf . Always been the same

I like the look of this lad and I think he’s all settled in now. Only a young and still learning his craft, will learn lots from James . Hopefully will continue to improve . Good footballer

I was kinda surprised when he did it . Could they start the lap of honour at the A block of the Dolman so I can clapp em off while I wait to disembark
-
Thought he looked very tidy . Linked up very well. Reminded me of the old Blackburn player Diaz .

Just love the guy . Big part of our past and present .

One of my favourite days ever, getting that ****** out of our club!
One of the most oddest of appointments I can remember .

Looking forward to seeing how he works and how he will improve us on the pitch . All the heavy lifting off the pitch has been done for him . Pretty sure he’ll be backed in January . Looking forward to a new chapter in our history .
-
Interesting point of view and not one I’d previously pondered . I shall mull this over !
-
Just goes to show how much he was in touch with us the supporters . The two videos and the Radio Brizzle interview are how out of touch the club are with the punters . I like what been posted about a return possibly in the future , I’d like that .
It wasn’t always a an easy ride here for Nigel but the feeling among us for him has surprised me , genuine love and appreciation, haven’t seen too much of that in my time .
Hope and know we will get behind the new guy when he arrives .- 6

It’s kinda why I half-laugh whenever I hear the terms:
-forward thinking / attacking football
-front foot
-high press
-etc
usually with:
-modern manager
Do you think we played this style of football and our previous manager was of the modern type ? ?

We need someone to take training, mate! And field those tricky questions from the Evening Post before Saturday's game.
He'll be gone as soon the owner finds his new patsy.
Agh ok . The regime had a problem with only the Gaffa then !

Leave him in place to take training, then sack him when the new man is appointed.
If he resigns, no payout, so he stays waiting to be sacked.
Is my guess.
Makes sense . He was part of the problem!
