I liked Nigel but was never a fan of the product on the pitch . What he’s done off the pitch has been nothing short of a miracle , unfortunately he talked out of turn to his bosses while on a poor run of form. His sacking wasn’t a surprise as people where talking about it @ Cardiff as it was gonna happen after the game which I thought was a load of rubbish.
Apparently we’ve had the feelers out for a new manager for a bit and having been tapping up agents .
The club is in a bad way and we lurch from one disaster to another . Not sure the club anticipated such a response from the its own fans over the sacking and they’ll look to get us onside sooner rather than later .
Interesting posts about Tinnions role in all of this , I thought they got on him and Nige
I expect the new guy to get funds in January
if I could choose a new manager I’d go for Chris Wilder .

I like the lad and see a player with a fair bit of talent and able to do something different which makes him stand out from what we’ve already got . It is early days still and while he might not be in the plan at the moment I think our manager has shown if you train hard and show the right attitude you will get s chance .
As for Tony’s boy it’s quite a story of how he’s got to where he is today , seems like he has the drive and determination which the gaffa loves . He is raw but the more he’s in and around it the more chance he’ll get a start, full of energy and endeavour- 1

This is going to sound really harsh but I actually think he is doing more harm than good.
He is clearly not ready for this level but he is only 17 so that is no surprise if had composure in front of goal he already be at one of the prem clubs academies.
We have to play players who are at this level. It’s not a cup game it’s the league and he is taking the place of better more experienced players.
We cant just throw kids at it all the time and hope it works out.
It does take and yes he needs experience and this will def help him in the long run but IMO it’s far to early at this stage
He’s no worse than the rest . His faults are no different to his teammates. His excuse he’s young and can improve .

We lack quality and composure in the last third , that’s what you the money for . Ipswich looked comfortable and ready to step if needed . We did ok.

Does anybody really think the presence of Mark Ashton is going to create some sort of Ipswich-City rivalry? I don't. Beyond OTIB I doubt many know or care.
Can't decide whether I think Ipswich's game being cancelled at the weekend is a good thing or a bad thing for us. They'll be more rested, obviously. But god knows there's been so many times when we've looked slow to wake up after an international break. Wonder whether, if we have a fast start, Ipswich might be caught out after nearly 3 weeks of training?Who’s Mark Ashton ?

Gotta be honest I’m not a fan of Gary’s first two kits but he’s eventually found time to make a real beauty

Fair play to you parents it’s quite the commitment, been through it all three times , weekends were only ever about football , train on a Saturday morning and games Sunday morning or afternoon , not great when you had both!

From Holden and the last season of Johnson, yes.
And from most of the rest of Johnson.
I agree with Holden and the last throws of LJ .
Thoroughly enjoyed the run at the playoffs and the cup Semi being some of the best I’ve seen at the Gate -

Random question.
I try and think of what I watch as a product and how entertained I am .

Has our football on the pitch improved under Nigel ?

Certainly would help if the football and rugby pitches were under opposite stands.
Very good point . Last year it looked a bit tired at times

He does seem very loyal due to previous form in tournaments.
And Southgate didn’t seem to think the likes of Sterling and JWP playing well for 3/4 games meant much .
I understand the former has pulled out of previous squads which maybe didn’t help his chances .He’s very loyal . A good quality

They have similar at Schalke as well. Their retractable pitch goes under one of the main stands and sits outside, though, so it’s open to the elements.
Blinking good work

Always find it strange when players are picked on reputation rather than their efforts this season , not sure it offers much hope to those playing out of their skins and not getting a sniff . We do have players good enough in certain positions but Gareth mustn’t trust them or not quite ready yet .

He was loved by the fans and a special bond with them . Must’ve been a horrible death .
