You are correct but is the prem all it lives up to be,you can kiss goodbye to Saturday 3pm games for much of the season and we don’t travel that well now(obviously the glory hunters will be out in force if we get there for a season)
Sell outs

Congratulations to Luton . Hope they enjoy the Prem. It’s what all championship clubs strive for and they’re gonna make a few quid . Hope they look after their fans and don’t do a Fulham with sky high prices .

So are we thinking that joe isn’t coming home ?

Remember seeing a coach on the way home with a banner on back widow?
GORDON OWEN LYNCH SQUAD.
He missed a penalty in the last game against Swindon to keep us out of the playoffs as well as Wembley.
I remember that being rather tasty after !!

John Bailey for me . A class act. Always looked like he loads of time on the ball, calm as you like!
-
I liked Danny Wilson and we played some nice stuff at times , I certainly think the style of play then was more accustomed to what I see now, maybe the memory ain’t what it used to be!
Remember my mate jumping on the coach at Blackpool to tell Danny and his team what he thought of them , it was very quiet on that coach and not one player or staff said anything, I got my mate off the coach and apologised, not sure why I did that as he spoke the truth !

I thoroughly enjoyed the series and it gave me a bit of interest in the National League , I watched a few games and was pleasantly surprised at how good the standard was . Deprived area and something for the locals to be happy about . Love a bit of joy !!

I assume you are referring to new signings, but they are also undertaking a pre season tour to the USA, where they have friendlies arranged against Manchester UTD and, I think, Chelsea.
Good run outs

Hope they hold their nerve and we get a nice away day

Lot of expectation with the amount of money and the high profile owners . Spending the most doesn’t always guarantee success. Be interesting to see what they do pre season . Great game and an enjoyable watch this season . Standard is pretty good .
-
Feel he’s improving all the time with more to come . I think he’s found his position . So quick . Final ball improving
-
He gave us a massive lift when he came on today and no mean feat getting 50 goals for us . Adds good value to the squad . Not a starter for me .
-
Used to think he was very dodgy but I’m far more comfortable with him than I used to be . I think he has potential to improve . Be good to see him have proper competition again to push him

Always had a soft spot for Yeovil as I knew a lad who played for them . It’s funny how football goes sometimes and I for one won’t gloat at them playing Chippenham next season. Hope they can rebuild and come back better and stronger

If Chelsea was selling we was buying . All three gifted players but have differing reasons why they haven’t worked out . Interesting all three will leave for nothing and were bought in by a previous manager and Mr Ashton . I wish then all the best but not against us !

Wow loads of categories. Got a bit crushed one year . Mum ended up making a complaint that ended up with the football league . Both clubs very helpful . QPR got a slap on the wrist and ma ended up on Radio Bristol .

He’s soo good I forgot he played for the Gappers !!!
Pretty sure I’ll see more of him up the club ! -
Is it like being Castled ??

I remember telling my boy don’t bother they wont win up there !
This was different City and we had a bit of arrogance , belief maybe , and they bloody smashed it !
I wish I’d gone now !

Imagine you’d been reported for swearing and you sit next to the singing section !
Are we saying the ref and his assistants are fair game as it’s only football?
when I first attended games in the early 80s regular racist chanting , which I joined in with , I was a kid but I still knew it was wrong . How about when an opposition player takes a corner in front of the singing section and they all drop the c bomb !Off topic a bit . Sorry for that . Back in the nineties when we went all seated in the EE lots of the chants were quite funny , slightly naughty but not vile . The club send that message around the boards about reporting this stuff but they can’t do a whole stand !
Society has changed . This forum changed after lockdown

Fair play to him . I hope he makes it with us , plenty of time , if he doesn’t hopefully a long career at some level . Written off by quite a few on here and I understand why .
