If we can get 9 points from the Norwich and Burnley matches, then I am really going to start to believe it is our season!

Potter in discussions. Chelsea have just signed Fofana, but any chance he might go back for Webster?
-
Get the impression this is the new owners calling the shots. Less so the Tuchel sacking, but more the recruitment. Aubameyang? £60m on Cucurella?! Seems scattergun at best. I get the impression new owners are looking for 'names they know' as opposed to considering someone like Potter (who, given time, would likely do a very good job).

I see your point - but this is his audition for the World Cup. If he's going, and going to play, then this is his chance to impress. I wouldn't want him to get injured now, but the World Cup is a huge opportunity for him, and also our ticket to maximising his value if he is off in January. I hope he stays, but realistically, I can't see that happening.
-
You say that like there's a £15m + add-ons offer on the table! Of course the longer his contract, the stronger our position. I also don't think his injury record is too bad either. If being out for a few months over the summer means he comes back scoring a goal a game until Christmas then I'd happily take that! I think any kind of credible showing at the World Cup will offset any reduction in value from a reduced contract length. And if he tears it up, as he could well do, then selling for the imaginary £15m offer now might just be a terrible decision.

If he maintains his form for us until January AND has a decent World Cup I think significant incoming bids in January would be inevitable. Ghana play Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay in the group stages, with the Uruguay match on the 2nd December. Even if Ghana don't progress, if he plays, and plays credibly, then he's in the shop window - and within weeks of the January window opening too. A goal like last night or Fulham last season, and I think we could have a bidding war! Lot's of ifs and maybes, but we're in a really good position

Ridiculous recruitment. What did they expect?! By the time the team gel they’ll be cut adrift. Madness -

Same team as Cardiff for me. If Weimann is injured then I’d bring Semenyo in, as long as he’s 90 min fit. Try and keep as settled side as possible.

Yeah I’m thinking the same too! Couple of solid wins and clean sheets and knowing you’ve played well has got to boost everyone. Wells looks like he’s having a great time! Hopefully we can take the confidence of knowing how well we can play into the next few matches

They'll make them that expensive because people will still pay it. It's a generational thing as much as anything I think. There's 11 years between me and my brother (36/25) and he wouldn't bat an eyelid at spending £60-£80 on a t-shirt. All our first cars were 4th/5th hand, high mileage corsa's, clio's, fiesta's and mini's. All his mates first cars are A-Class's and 1-Series. I know it makes me old, and I don't get it. But I'm glad I don't get it. £100 for a football shirt is madness.

Why would you invade the pitch when there’s still time to play, and stop the momentum of your team who can’t stop scoring?! One for Northampton now and it’s curtains!
-
I assume, being from Guernsey, he qualifies as a home-grown player with regards Premier League team quotas? If for this reason alone he carries a premium, what is a genuine asking price for him this summer? Webster was £20m, Kelly £13m.... Are we looking in excess of those? And for what price would City just have to stand aside and let him go?

There’s stepping out and there’s running past man and ball. Striker probably couldn’t believe his luck. May have been Scott who lost it, but Vyner just has to stand firm there and make even half a tackle and we get time to get numbers back. -

When’s the last time we conceded to a real bit of quality or just a genuinely good goal? Goals inevitability come from mistakes but we have a real knack of just gifting them. Need to sort it out. As good as our goals for may be, we’re going nowhere conceding 2 or 3 every game. -

Agree. Would rather we keep them stretched and try and nick it, then settle for a point, and concede in the 91st
