  1. You have looked at Lansburys stats for this season haven't you? Half the games played, used as a sub quite a bit he's cover he will get released if they get promoted possibly replaced if they don't.
  2. I get what you're saying here, I did remember looking at the Goodwillie case a while back and thinking he was guilty it just didn't go through the criminal process, it does bother me though that there is this sense of trying to erase people though, I personally think its better to have these people still in the public eye, as there is scrutiny that comes with that. Out of the public eye they are free to drop off the radar and to a certain extent reoffend easier, our reactions to these events are far to emotionally driven they should be more driven by thoughtful consideration. In Greenwoods case he will get a disproportionate sentence for what he's clearly done, there will be a drive to make sure justice is seen to be done, however it wont happen for all the other cases where there is not such a public figure involved, this disjointedness does not sit well with me at all.
  3. I hate these sorts of reports it very rarely leads to any sort of change.
  4. I think people keep forgetting the constraints we're operating under, its hard but let's be grateful we have some promising young players and not dwell on the poor results. Pearson has done ok I think he's given some young players a good look during this period because he's got little choice. But also gives him an idea of whether they are good enough. I think its important to note its often hard to get a result against a bottom team as they are fighting for their life.
  5. I wanted to come back and enjoy this again. But it returned me to my last read post. Left me disappointed.
  6. Yellow at best said Vinny...... On the bright side Dana Whites been in touch.
  7. I'm glad I read this today, a couple of proper belly laughs. Yesterday would not have been the same outcome rough end of norovirus.
  8. I didn't realise that he switched countries and played for ?? at Afcon in January.
  9. Italy is lovely in general, I did a top to bottom of it in 2012 with the wife, I recommend it to anyone, the football clubs are insanely big the San Siro is huge it makes the Emirates (Wife's a Arsenal Fan) feel like Yeovil Town.
  10. I think Ted Lasso will save them and throw Leeds under the bus at the last minute to save them. I think Burnley & Everton will squeeze through by the skin of their teeth.
  11. He did come from the loins of Micky after all.
  12. See even Ashley Williams wasn't that bad, he filled a gap where we had a problem with injuries and for the most part did a decent job over stayed but he was handy. I think seasoned pro's can if they have the right mindset do a decent job for a football club, especially when you have a lot of youth in the side.
  13. Simpson was on a tiny wage and the noise around him was more of an issue. King to be fair was decent but has been injured the same with O'Neil. Brunt waste of money. Marriappa I thought was decent and did a good job with decent availability. Williams (Joe) is only 25 and minus being crocked he would have been a great signature. It's not the quality its more their availability for some of these.
  14. I figured we would end up lower mid table, hopefully that will still pan out to be true, I do worry about how we sort out next season though, we will have several strong side come up from L1 and we will still be remodelling the team/treading water financially.
  15. I'm worried now about where the scissors had been. Should I get checked ?
  16. I'm having a nightmare with my phone ? and a autocorrect or sabotage depending on how it feels.
  17. Oh he had a thirst, it wasn't nepotism. We used to share a hairdresser and he told me he used to come into the hairdresser halfcut before a matchday.
  18. All the people saying Noble was sidelined because of nepotism it was because of his drinking and inconsistent play. He was gifted but if was down to nepotism when he left us he dropped down and played for Exeter.
  19. Lees philosophy was very different to Nige though, big squad lots of rotation and setting up differently to exploit the other team's weaknesses. Nige is more a lean fit squad small amounts of rotation and playing a similar way week in week out. I like both philosophies to be honest but I know what is more affordable and consistent ?
  20. If we're honest 200k or 3.4m they are both tiny amount of cash to you top premiere league teams. I think the reason most of the top teams field weakened squads is fixture congestion with lots of them competing in European cups as well. They cut their losses on the domestic cups if they think it will.benifit them in the league in Europe. That's the Europa prize money minus the tv revenue, you see why the domestic cups get a poor priority. Stage Prize Money Group stage participation €3.63million Group stage win €630k Group stage draw €210k Group stage winners €1.1million Group stage runners up €550k Last 32 knockout round participation €500k Last 16 knockout round participation €1.2million Quarter final participation €1.8million Semi final participation €2.8million Final participation €4.6million Winners €8.6million
  21. I'd like to see us fix our leaky defence at the start of next season, I would give it the first 10 games before I get excited. But if we can do that and retain our young stars we're going to be in a great place next season.
  22. In his first stint he was fine, second stint he went down hill fast. I cut him quite a bit of slack, but he turned out bad, Holden I have no idea what he was aiming for.
  23. Can you remember how Millen used to setup the team? He was a 3-5-2 man, no idea what Holden was.
  24. Simon Jordon, him and Paul Scally, not sure who I dislike the most, the guy who could not let that ghost goal go and forever talks us down or the one who screwed us with Pulis, then took us to court over it.
