  1. I'll leave you to guess whether it's going back to full price or not! ??
  2. Thanks, indeed you are correct, mine's increasing. They don't waste any time do they!
  3. That's a pity. No doubt Sky will start charging me for Sky Sports. ? And I'm not that interested in the Prem
  4. Ah, ok. Fair enough, I'll ask my son tomorrow if he has heard anything about it.
  5. Spoke to my son who lives in Perth this morning. He's sports mad and a City fan?. He didn't say anything about Prem games being played there when we were talking about the season's outstanding games. He did say Foxtel were reportedly in trouble because of no sports on TV. Seems unlikely to me. Mandatory 14 days complete hotel quarantine for all those incoming to WA. So no training etc during those 14 days in isolation.
  6. The only Blue and White quarters you'll see in BS16 will be on Beemers ?
  7. It was a great night. Cotts' reaction when the third went in was magic! I've been following the club since I was a nipper in the early 5O's and that season under Cott's was one of the best. It was only L1 but we were such a force. Felt like we were riding the crest of a wave. Fantastic times, pity the 'Gate was being redeveloped at the time, otherwise the home crowds would have been 20k plus I reckon.

  9. Whenever "indiscretions" come to light the guilty party always profusely apologises and expresses deep regret. I think most of the regret centers around being found out!
  10. Apparently in good health. So why has he been tested? Yes I know, Royal privilege etc. Blah blah. But a lot more front line folk at risk would love to be tested.
  11. Of course, not disputing that for one moment. And for many different types of self employed it's obviously very difficult to sort out. Just suggesting that getting help to CIS self employed via their UTR, in the same way their over payment of tax is refunded, would be relatively straightforward. My view, fwiw, is a subsistance payment to everyone. Same amount, enough to cover bills, food etc. And so what if some benefit, while others will find it inadequate. At least it would help the vast majority and enable people to stay home and stop the virus spreading and not become destitute.
  12. Exactly. There's a lot of ignorant comments on here. And as I pointed out much earlier in this thread CIS self employed have already contributed too much tax during the present financial year. That's the way it's done. As HMRC issue tax rebates following CIS tax returns against a sub contractor's UTR I don't see why it would be that difficult to provide the appropriate financial support by the same method. IR35 cases may be more difficult/complicated, I have no experience with this. But getting help to at least some CIS self employed would be a start and demonstrate that something was being done.
  13. Indeed, what if someone has been S.E. for less than 36 months?
  14. Plenty of dolphins in Mandurah estuary, not sure when I will be in a position to see them again though!
  15. Indeed, and such irony. The blonde blustering buffoon wanted to"get Brexit done" so as to have greater control over our borders. It's laughable if it wasn't such a serious blunder.
  16. My son is a chippy, so under CIS tax system. Three large jobs he would have been working on until mid summer have been pulled. In the unlikely event that he could find any work he has the problem of child care as the schools have closed. I should add that under the CIS system the government actually owes him a fair amount, as he's over paid tax, which is usual under this system. But it's too early to get the tax return in. So he, and millions like him are doubly shafted!
  17. Judging by the glowing praise on here following today's announcements, I would hazard a guess that no self employed skilled tradesmen are adding to the endorsements.
  18. I was going to renew my season card this weekend as the deadline is on Monday. With the likelihood of this season running on until lord knows when, booking your seat for next season, whenever that may start, by the middle of March, now seems a bit early to me. But I don't suppose the club will alter the renewal dates.
  19. I've read this bit several times, but I'm damned if I can fathom it out. It must be me though in my advancing years, ?. Reckon you'd make a brilliant politician!?
  20. This, it seems to me is very much a significant factor in the UK Gov's approach to this. I did some very simple/basic calculations based on Googling a few things. Let's say that there are 28 mill households and that £300 per week for each household is enough to keep them going over a shutdown period. Let's also say that a 10 week shut down should see us through the worst of this. That would cost the Gov £84 billion Now consider that they bailed out the banks in 2008 to the tune of £500 billion. All very simplistic, but makes you think how much our health is worth.
  21. So two Johnsons able to talk b/s. But I would have a lot more confidence in LJ running the country! ? BJ is a total buffoon, can hardly speak a coherent sentence. He's a real life spitting image ? Any way See you all at the Sheff W game!
  22. Good luck with that! The water and hand dryers are warmer in the Lansdown Stand loos than the Dolman.
  23. Seems very lax if passengers arriving from N Italy are not health screened or quarantined. N Italy appears to be more of a threat than China. Hundreds/thousands kept on a cruise ships, whereas travel to and from N Italy carries on unchecked, or so it appears. Never mind, wash your hands and sing happy birthday.
  24. Not sure about that. Oz has confirmed cases and it's well over 25 there in a lot of places.
