Met a Gashead on my flight back from Delhi today. Like me he was in premium economy, I did say it must feel weird for him being in the 2nd tier for a change!

dont really understand the ag about Blades to be honest. I spent some time in Sheffield in my younger days and United Fans always liked to portray themselves as the working class club and Wednesday as the middle class club. I watched a few games from their Kop End and was always made to feel quite welcome by the locals.

The gas try and portray themselves like that. I dont think they know what "Working class" means. One of those random sloguns fans throw out to make themselves feel better about themselves.

Never liked Sheff Utd. For the same reasons you’ve shared, they’ve always come across as *****

Yep always preferred the sheff wed fans and that is purely down to the fact that Sheff Utd fans are arrogant weirdos like rovers fans. Met a few on the train once and I knew a couple in the military and they were all bellends.

Just read their forum and pretty light hearted banter but have read it over the years. The whole "We prefer the gas because like us we are the second biggest team in the city" lark usually comes out.

Must be the only who enjoys the top tier. Old school ground and I love it. Can still see Caulker’s late equaliser.

I was bottom tier for that he ran right in front of us to celebrate. Scenes were similar to last season with Wells scoring.

  5. Maybe its a mix of application and attitude for Kane, hes obviously frustrated not to be playing but hasn't hit the levels required after his injury.

I do get that vibe we won't see him in a City shirt again though, shame that he never really got going.

“Naismith looked absolutely miles off it and not ready”

    I thought he looked class.

I thought he looked off it but not miles off and to say he looked class is just as exaggerating.

He misplaced a few balls and his first touch is off, understandbly so after being out for so long. Good to have him back though.

Haha I think we must have been sat in a similar place.

Pretty sure it was 'FORRRWURRRRDDD' every time we were passing it around the back. Me and @Coxy27 enjoyed it so much we use it ironically at every opportunity.

In S20 I hear a "OUUUUUT!" even heard "SQUEEEEEEZE" before a few times. Does make me chuckle.

According to the game stats he won 7 aerial contests, so it isn’t.

Out of interest, does winning an aerial contest mean just winning the ball or a successful challenge that ended up going to a city player after?

Whichever way they class its a good stat.

The big issue with “recruiting well” is replacing the loans they have…just to get to the level they are at now.  That’s the issue with loans, you aren’t improving your own squad.  Every season you’re reliant on replacing them well to retain the status quo.

Yes Preston a good example of this at the moment but pretty sure under Alex Neill they didn't have any. Cannon, Fernandez, Parrot and Delap all PL loans and contributing massively to where Preston are atm. I do think if you carry on bringing in that calibre of player you'll be able to reach top 6 at some point. Derby and Huddersfield squads in recent years testament to that.
