  1. It used to annoy me last season when people were banging on about giving Sam Bell more games because what I saw of him suggested he was nowhere near league 1 football let alone Championship.

Its amazing how he has come on, you can see that confidence and sharpness improving all the time. Tinman said last season was it that in a couple of seasons time Bell and Conway sill be leading the line for City first team....never doubt Tins....

You say it was "his failure to improve City's league position season on season..."

I used to think people gave you a hard time on here, but you actually don't know what you're on about.

His last season we finished 12th after holden took over. I think it was the final straw because even after a lengthy covid break we were still awful and we would have finished worse.

As I quoted another, scoring a tap in because you were fortunate to be in the position after being on the floor doesn't make up for weeks of shit performances keeping an upcoming talent out of the team. I stand by what I said, am I happy he scored, of course, he's a city player still but it doesn't change that we wouldn't be struggling to beat shit teams if we didn't keep playing players that are not performing over up and coming talents, especially when you look at the better players in our squad are the younger and hungrier ones, maybe with the exception of Matty James.

Well we outperformed Warford twice and gave a good go against Sheff Utd twice and thats off the top of my head. Performance was there but result wasn't. It happens to all teams

Good. I'm glad you've heard just a little bit of racism and that @Robbored hasn't heard any since the "days of Wayne Allison".

I heard it loud and clear at Watford. "Steve" calling Watford's black players "******* black ding-dongs", calling Asian stewards "Pakis" and then broadly referring to every Watford fan as a "bummer" because of Elton John. I also heard some of his mates laughing along. Blokes in their late 50s and early 60s if I had to guess.

Of course it doesn't mean that every City fan is racist, it doesn't even mean all his mates are - one in particular did at least encourage him to whisper his insults rather than shout them.

    But it happened.

Mods - ban me for repeating the words if you need to.

Its pathetic its still about. But football fans can be pretty stupid. I mean causing violence and aggro resulting in hundreds if not thousands of policemen and women every weekend away from their job, when they could coming down hard on the very people you are talking about.

At Watford away I sat a couple of seats along from a particularly disgusting City fan who liberally used racist and homophobic words directed at Watford players, fans, and stewards. Racism is alive in our fanbase as well as those of other clubs.

Strange, I have never heard racism at the gate or away directed at black people but have definitely heard homophobic and racism towards Middle Eastern ethnicities.

Happily see Wigan,  Blackpool and Huddersfield go down. Crap away days and bring very few down here.

Much rather have Reading QPR and Cardiff stay in the division.  Only because they are our more local games.

I agree but somehow Cardiff and Reading haven't dropped to the 3rd tier since getting promoted from it what 20 odd years ago?
