Rovers will get there before us I really believe that

Remember there was a top flight before the prem? But I do agree after so many making it to the prem, it wouldn't surprise me to see teams like Preston, Millwall, Rovers to did it before us. Could add in Wrexham in all fairness with their backing.

See, I see this as an issue with modern football. Does money motivate? no, it motivates off of the pitch but once the players are on the pitch money isn't what's on their mind, it's the game and when your own fans are sitting silent as the opposite fans mock them it is far more likely to demotivate than motivate. When I was a kid and down the Gate if the away fans got mouthy we got mouthy back, we'd sing, we'd mock them back and the direct result would be the players running that bit more, turning to the crowd and raising their arms up frantically as they got more motivated.

I'll never understand this lack of understanding of how much fans cheering you on makes a huge difference and motivates you, it's like anything in life, if you feel the people around you are happy with you then you'll in turn feel happier making that little more effort, if you're busting your back and it's never seen as good enough you eventually think "what am I even doing this for? I get paid either way"

I get it but honestly the atmospher at away games since god knows when was generally poor unless there was something riding on it.

What happened to Mehmeti taking players on, that was his strength, he seems to have stopped going for it which is a real shame.

Maybe, but it doesn't sit well when a team can come and mug off our fans and they don't react at all, the players must think "we're out here making an effort, why don't you?" to our fans

Well with all the money they earn that would be a pathetic mindset they need a few songs and chants to up the anti. Watch what happens when we give them a flurry of attacks, the fans will get involved more.

  4. Sorry @Hot Air you still haven't responded to the fact our average attendance is thousands higher than Charltons and despite various evidence online and all of us making you silly you still haven't responded on it.

So what made you think Charlton had higher attendances than us and are you too weak to say you got it wrong?

They really never learn do they, how many false dawns? How many times have they had egg on their face? They can’t believe what they write, surely

Whos gonna explain what biting is to him? Don't you have to be annoyed or bitter about something?

Probably thinks they took more that 29k to Wembley too ?

Don't worry Hibs fans, I'm sure he will pick a team he can trust for the second leg...

This used to wind me up when he said that and I used to think well its your players and your squad. Having said that wasn't it MA who essentially decided who we brought in and LJ just ok'd it?

Bit of chatter from the Wolves end..There is also someone on there who claims to know a relative of Scott.

I really hope we stand firm because although this is a plausible scenario, the nauseating arrogance and inward looking nature of some PL fans is starting to grate. (Brightonwolf).

I've been quite risk averse but £25m or close to £25m ie say £22m with several million more in realistic add-ons or no.

Brightonwolf is no bcfcshaggs ill tell you that much.

  8. Having Brighton and Brentford in the small six is pretty ridiculous considering recent years. Goes back to the old argument of 'what makes a big club' because as our attendances show we are a top half supported club even after two or three pretty poor seasons.

Blue Few  back slapping over 1400 tickets sold so far for their opening game at Portsmouth (2k allocation).

How many have we sold for our friendly down there so far ?

Friendly v First game of the season. Rovers should definitely sell out in a few days no excuses.

I looked into this 40K myth a while back

    Basiaclly we know these facts

    Attendance was 47,029

Between one week and 4 days before teh match TWO seperate sources (including their own website) had said the gas had sold around 24-25K

We also know from the report on the Grimsby local paper that Grimsby Town had sold at least 10K

So clearly the rovers portion of the attendance was NOT 40K and in reality was probably below 35K

I remember looking on their forum to bust this myth and the thread said at least 16k sold a few days before it. Even if they did take 30k its still a decent amount they just dont need to lie. What winds me up is some people believe them even some of our own.

  11. Well when you look at the 3 promoted or even top 6 last season, they all have a 'Height Option".

Burnley had Ashley Barnes, Shef Utd had McBurnie and Jebbison, Luton had Adebayo, Cov had Gyokeres, Boro had Forss and Sunderland had Simms and Stewart.

Probably missed a few and i get that the players mentioned didnt feature all the time for whatever reason but having that option is still important. I get from set pieces you can still be a danger with centre halves being a threat but IMO we definitely need an option.
