  1. I think that despite it being the close season and we don’t have much to play for as a collective, it’s good knowing we have gotten results against teas with something to play for. Blackburn, Plymouth, Leicester all have something to play for. Happy with another clean sheet too!

Probably get shit for saying this…..but if he is mentally ill, i hope he doesn’t get the help he needs. The world certainly wouldn’t miss scum like him. Some of the stuff he is saying on twitter today is vile.

Which is why I don’t understand why he is still being given a platform.

Luton, Fulham, Brentford, Wigan, Charlton and Barnsley; Championship clubs so much smaller than R*v*rs that they are not even in the Championship. Only five on his list of eleven Championship clubs are in the Championship. A great effort though. He must be prowed.

R*v*rs have been in the Championship in the (distant) past, they are a lot smaller than they were.

    🤣

Think this post from memory was from two seasons ago but completely not with reality some of those lot.

It's now or never, I want to see him as City manager, just to live that experience, you know we all secretly want it!

I can see Warnock being the man to take City to the play off places, or at least give us a season never to forget!

Let's make fan power force it to happen.

Or have I just lost the plot and maybe suffering from temporary insanity?  I'd take anyone instead of bland vanilla man.

Ship has sailed but honestly never understood why we never went for him? Cardiff, QPR, Sheff Utd, Rotherham, Palace, Huddersfield etc brought him in. Why were the Lansdowns so arrogant to not give him a shot here?

Yes but played the full 90 on Saturday and has been a regular starter since returning from injury. The fans love him here due to his effort and attitude (not to mention his 9 goals and being the one player in the squad with a name that can easily be slotted into a terrace chant 😀 ). Whilst only 19 he doesn't get easily bullied and pushed off the ball by big seasoned League 2 defenders

I know it's only League 2 but loans to Newport County to play their  first EFL football hasn't affected the careers of the likes of Ben White too badly. Loan signings seem to be treated well and get opportunities to play regularly rather than just sit on the bench - in part due to our small squad and playing budget.

Most of the City loan signings we have had in recent years (Semenyo, Pring, McCoulsky, Bakinson etc) have been good for us. The only one I can recall not impressing was Olly Thomas.

I wasn’t downplaying his loan experience I was pointing out in just 30mins he had the impact to assist and score. He is quite a big lad too. I do wonder whether he will be considered under LM and I was always under the impression that Tinnion tried to push for the club to give more opportunities to the academy.

Another goal for Seb last night (it's the 5th goal at the end of the clip). Plus an assist for the 4th.

Worth noting he only played 30 minutes coming off the bench.

    This is interesting.
would be good to see our “mission” or aims stated somewhere. Closest we ever get is “we want to be successful”. “We want the premier league” but no timescale, no long term vision. My believe is there is no vision other than “hopefully hang on in the championship and don’t spend too much doing it”. I guess publishing that wouldn’t look good!

To win silverware at youth level… 🙄

  9. Why are Bradford still down there ? I know they have cheap tickets etc or at least they did 10/15 years ago but still get huge crowds in that league. Surely they should be up there more? When’s the last time they were in league one 5 season ago?

Its under 18's kids football for Christ sake, it's their football education, they should be playing properly not agricultural shit like they served up tonight

    Geeze miserable git.

All types of football get played in championship why should u18s be any different. Every club will have a few matches where they have to alternate playing styles to either gain an advantage or get pushed into playing that way by an opposition.

Although Southgate done abysmally at club level, spending fortunes at Boro on past it wasters, which ultimately led to their relegation and his dismissal. A manager who joined a team as manager after they had been Europa League finalists the season before and came 12th, and 13th the next two seasons, before being 19th and relegated and sacked.

Regardless of how he has done in the England set up, his England side have some of the best players in the World, but have won nothing, and we only ever batter minnows, any time we play a decent side we crumble.

Abysmal? Not sure that’s fair, as you said he got a 12th and 13th place finish then a relegation that went to the last game or two, not bad at all. The following season he was then a point away from top in championship when he was sacked including after a 2-0 loss. I think it took them a while to get anywhere near that position again.

  12. Same shit they always say, “city spent loads and if we spent the same we would do better” well you don’t have a new 40 odd million pound stadium for one so hard to compare.

Also do they forget how much the likes of Derby, Boro, Reading to name a few spent to NOT go up.

    15th now.

When we include results since Manning took charge, Plymouth, QPR and Sheffield Wednesday although below us in the current League table, have all accrued more points than us from QPR away to present.

Manning has us joint 18th since he took charge basically. We are above Millwall and Huddersfield on GD I think.

I’m sure if they get relegated they will be performing higher than us in a couple of seasons
