So, let me get this right. Here you announce that you'll be watching Liverpool, because It'll be a proper football match, but actually, you decided to watch the Gas, with their not so proper manager, as you must have decided it would be a better game to watch instead.
Looks like you missed a proper decent game at Ajax.
The guy is absolutely deluded

Are there many on here going out for the tournament?

I’ve witnessed it many times. We won’t see the Swansea fans being let out at the same as we are on Saturday.
I’m sure they will
when was the last time away fans were held back

I don't either which makes the fact I am currently dating a lifelong Villa fan.
She's already dragged me along to the Everton, Man City and Chelsea games
It's been mildly amusing watching the absolute shit show Stevie G has created
You football slag ….

Having lived in the centre of Manchester for 3 years, I can assure you on a home match day, every pub and bar is full of United fans. If Man City are at home, it was a ghost town.
When we played both teams in the cup had 100 times more interest in tickets for the United game

You only have to look at the amount of coaches that head up from the south west that a lot of there support is away from Manchester
from what I read on a previous post from here there away support is totally different

Predicting results in championship has been difficult for years, it’s near impossible this season.
Just last night not many would have Norwich, Stoke and WBA all losing at home in their accumulators?
You would have got good odds if you had

Wankfest in Somerset tonight from the hordes that have never stepped foot in Anfield
we don’t all see eye to eye on here but at least we bloody go and watch OUR team

There a lot of regular travelling fans I know that are not going mainly due to costs. The 10 day package that takes on the 3 group games was 3k so seems like to best deal going

The only England away game I have attended, it was a great weekend except the amount of time we were kept in the ground after, 3 hours if I remember correctly.
It was the first time I had heard the “great escape” tune and always remember blokes whistling the tune as we were walking through the airport on the Sunday, I believe it would be referred to as an “ear worm” these days.
Watching about 6000 fans stood marching to that tune was quite funny

It was the first big away game after euro 96 and probably the first away game for a lot of fans. I can still remember the shock on some of there faces at the way there were being treated by Italian fans and police .
you knew it was going to be a rough night when the police drive by as we were going into Rome giving you the cut throat gesture….got kept in for about 3 hours while they had music pumping out on the ground and then shoved on busses back into town
brilliant and would not change it for the world

Not city related but 25 years ago today England got the point they needed to reach France 98 . I’m sure some of the old city faces where there . Great write up of the bbc football website

That was what loads of Newcastle fans were saying
Thing is with most football fans
As long as their team is doing well
they don't care about how and why
Especially Cardiff they even allowed there shirt to change colour

Not the best draw but a couple of interesting games

45 years ago tomorrow, 1st October, was my first visit to Ashton Gate. A thrilling top flight 2-2 draw against……………QPR.
I’ll be back tomorrow, same day, same date, same opposition but that’s where the similarities end, although I guess they’ll be a few other City and maybe QPR fans there tomorrow that were there 45 years ago.
That’s pretty impressive considering where you live
but it’s a double edge sword, great place to live just a bit more travel to watch city

Not for me - Jacki was a lazy bugger who scored only 7 goals for City. He was a luxury player that City couldn’t afford to carry.
Russell Osman eventually dropped him - absolutely the right decision.
You really are a plonker

It was on tv , getting close to Christmas, a lot of uncertainty about the economy. Not defending them but valid points
